Protect America, Inc. Reviews (822)

In response to Ms. [redacted] rejection, we have come to anamicable resolution. We have tried reaching out to Ms. [redacted] in an effort toexplain the balance on the account. Ms. [redacted] stated she didn’t want to talkabout it anymore and it has been taken care of. Prior to calling in to cancelher account, Ms. [redacted] had been invoiced for the month of January. Inaddition, PA requires a 30 day written notice of cancellation prior tocancelling an account. This stipulation is detailed in our agreement and isintended to allow for processing as there are multiple parties involved inservicing a customer’s account. Written notice of cancellation wasn’t receiveduntil 3/17/2015. This caused an additional balance to accrue. We ask that Ms.[redacted] pay $59.90, half of the balance due and we are offering to clear theremaining balance.

Protect America has received the rejected response submitted by Ms. [redacted]. We will waive the payment due for the month of August as a courtesy to her. We ask that she allows Protect America to assist with any further concerns.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They called me and definitely made everything right. They called me the day they received the complaint and told me I could go ahead and send the equipment back, which I did, and they refunded all my money. I appreciate their as well as Revdex.com's handling of this.

I am rejecting this response because: Protect America WILL NOT accept 49.99. They are...

still insisting I owe 99.99 which NOT true. I offered the rep on the phone 2 hours ago to pay the 49.99 right now which I owe - NOT 99.99. They refuse to END their scam and keep callg with the same scam. Again 49.99 right now and I am done.

I am rejecting this response because:This is the first that I've heard that the transfer to the new property owner was unsuccessful. I sold the property on July 1st, 2016.  I have no way of contacting the new owner in regards to this.  I've been forced to close that checking account to get you people to stop billing me. I will be contacting the City Court House next week and filing a lawsuit against you to recover the payments you stole from me for the months of July, 2016 thru January 2017.Your company represents the worst kind of theft in this country. I will do everything on my part to tell everyone I meet what I think of your deceptive business practices!

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  Several calls to them from the beginning of May in the attempt to cancel the service have all ended with being transferred to retention specialists every time. Even the contact our CEO link on their webpage goes to the retention specialists. They are not taking no for an answer. I have wasted enough time and efforts being tied to the phone while they refuse to honor my request. They have the equipment back, they were never installed because they were not complete, I am not renewing the service with them. 7 years of questionable service is enough. I do not have trust in them to provide me with protection. Again by their own admission, they did not have any signal from me for at least a year and they have no plausible excuse. While you cancel do not forget to refund my money for service not provided. Regards,[redacted]

Protect America has received the rejection submitted by Ms. [redacted]. Upon review of the sales call, the representative did inform Ms. [redacted] that there will be a $79.00 restocking fee applied on all returns. We now have all of the equipment returned. The account has been cancelled and a refund has been issued.  There are no further obligations between either party.

Protect America has received the complaint submitted by Mr. [redacted]. We've had the opportunity to review the sales call and have contacted Mr. [redacted] about our findings. We ask that he allow Protect America to assist with any further concerns.

Protect America has received the complaint submitted by Ms. [redacted]. While we do sympathize with Ms. [redacted], any payment arrangements at this point have to be made through [redacted]. They can be contacted at ###-###-####.

Protect America, Inc. would like to apologize for the event that took place with Ms. [redacted] place of residence. We are currently researching the account and will be in contact with Ms. [redacted] to provide information regarding her security account.

We are not denying that Mr. [redacted] has been having problems with equipment working properly, requiring multiple calls to our call center to resolve. We believe that by offering Mr. [redacted] an opportunity to lower his monthly rate, as well as issuing 2 free months in February, we are exceeding our obligation outlined in Mr. [redacted]'s agreement with Protect America. Mr. [redacted] did not uphold his obligation to keep monthly dues current. We cannot amicably resolve this at this time. Mr. [redacted] will need to work with our 3rd party collection agency.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Protect America was given verbal notice using their own ID password system on the first of the month, and confirmed in writing 2 days later. I will not dispute (however I do dislike) that Protect America wants to charge for the 30 days after cancellation. However, the practice of using a partial month to extract another FULL MONTH of charges is not acceptable. Protect America was given 30 days notice. If they choose to prorate the 30 days, that is one thing (again, I feel their tactics are poor). But they should not be charging me another month (that is a full 60 days after the first notice of cancelation).

At the time Mr. [redacted] signed the agreement PAI was on a yearly renewalterm. if the cancellation letter was not postmarked or received prior to thethree year contract end date, the agreement would continue an additional year. Protect America customer agreements are now month to month andafter the initial 3 year agreement term. Mr. [redacted] called to cancel on 3/4/2015and the proper cancellation procedure was provided.  PAI received the cancellation letter on3/26/2015 and his account is set to cancel 4/26/2015.

Protect America, Inc. has received the complaint filed by Mrs.[redacted] and we’ve found that she originally called on 4/21/2015 to cancelservice.
