Publishers Partnership Services Reviews (%countItem)

I received a notice from Publisher's Partnership Services in September of 2019 indicating that my subscription to *** Magazine was up for renewal. I wrote a check for $159.95 to PPS to renew the subscription (believing that I was dealing with *** Magazine directly) and that check WAS cashed. I have documentation from my bank to prove that. I just recently received a notice directly from *** Magazine (March 2020) that my subscription would end in April 2020. I contacted *** Magazine and they told me I needed to contact PPS. I attempted to do so with a phone number I found online, but when called, it is out of service. I would like my money back from PPS.

I submitted a check for 59.95 to Publishers Partnership Services, dated August 18, 2019, for a two year subscription renewal to ***. PPS cashed the check but has yet to notify ***. Additionally, PPS has made it extremely difficult to contact them directly. This has the appearance of a sham transaction. I see online that there are also numerous complaints about this business and their operation.

I ordered a magazine subscription and mailed this company a check on October 7, 2019 for $64.95 and my check was cashed on October 28, 2019. I have never received the magazine and would like a refund on this purchase.

I sent a check for *** Magazine on Sept 11, 2019 and never received as issue. They said it may take up to three months. I waited - no issues. I called their number and it is just a message. I then wrote them a letter with a copy of the cashed check. Still no response.

I ordered a magazine form Publishers Partnership and sent a check for $49.95 on Oct. 9, 2018. The check was cleared at my bank on 10/25/2018. I tried to call and find out about why I hadn't received any issues in December of 2018. There is no way to contact this business by phone or internet. I sent a letter in March to the business and requested a refund. I again waited for a response. After receiving no response from the business I sent a complaint to the Nebraska Office of the Attorney General. The Attorney General Office started to send letters starting on May 29, 2019. Publishers Partnership Services responded to the Attorney General July 12 2019 stating they sent me a refund on 6/4/19. I informed the Attorney General that I hadn't received a thing from them. The Attorney General Office sent the business followup letters on 9/11/19 and 10/16/19. My complaint was closed on 12/10/19 and kept on file for future reference. Again, neither I no the Attorney General Office has ever been able to talk to anyone from this business and received only one letter falsely claiming to have refunded me.

I want a refund for $49.95

Received solicitation in the mail from Publishers Partnership Services for subscription to *** for one year for $49.95 split into two payments of $24.98 each. I made my payments via bill pay with my bank on 8/27/19 and 9/25/19 which cleared my checking account. I have not received my magazines. When I call their customer service number (***) ***-*** all I get is a long recorded message with no option to speak for customer service I want a full refund.

If mailed, where was it mailed to

I have tried calling this company (voice mail only, never a live attendant) and mailing "cease & desist" request a few times over past 18mos, and now I get more magazine solicitations than ever addressed to my deceased father! Some of the titles are for mags he used to subscribe to and others aren't. I'm also receiving the exact same form from *** LLC in San Marco, CA. In the past 45 days, I've received seven solicitations, one title duplicated between the two companies!
Subscription rates are always WAY higher than subscribing directly from publishers. And, all seven of above mentioned were mailed from zip code 44101 as "presorted standard" with postage paid by permit #***. This is a Cleveland, OH zip code. Obviously, they leave folks with no recourse whatsoever to resolve issues like mine, or other unscrupulous practices.
I'd love to find out how to report them with more successful results!

I sent my final payment for PEOPLE MAGAZIINE 11/26/2019. All payments have been cashed.

Requested send magazine subscription or refund fee of $179.95 by 12/15/2019. No responce.

Publishers Partnership Services Response • Jan 14, 2020

Dear ***,

We sincerely apologize for what has happened. Often times it can take up to 10 weeks for the publisher to process an order(absurd, we agree) There is still a chance you will receive your order but, we have issued a full refund that will be sent to the address we have on file.

Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for the frustration.

PPS of Cheyenne, WY, issued a draft #*** drawn on our checking account in the amount of $179.95. This was done without authorization, permission or notification. We have a subscription with them for "***" magazine which has always been paid on time and by check. Payments were made to them this year in April $89.97 and July $138.02. The draft was made on 10/17/2019. For PPS to do this they would have to have our bank's routing and account numbers probably taken from one of our previous checks. Several attempts to contact this business have been unsuccessful. We had to transfer monies to prevent an overdraw. We at no time verbally or in writing gave PPS authorization to withdraw from our account.

Dear Dennis,

Thank you for you email. We are sorry to hear about your banking issue(s). To clarify, we do not store any financial information such as credit cards, account numbers etc, solicit via phone, or keep any records other than Name(s) Address(es) and magazines ordered. Nor, would we ever process any payments without receiving a check, as that is the only form of payment we accept.

I attempted to look up your contact information in our database and was unable to locate your last name. Is there another name the magazine was ordered under ?

If you would kindly provide us with additional contact details, we would be happy to issue a refund if you are not receiving the magazines you ordered.

Regards

I received a renewal notice for my *** magazine in August from PPS. I mailed them a check for a full year's renewal in the amount of $69.95.
