I sent a check for $69.97 to Publishers Partnership Services made out to *** Magazine because I thought it was the billing department for *** magazine. Publishers Partnership Services cashed my check on 10/16/18 but they are not affiliated with *** Magazine so I believe their cashing my check was consumer fraud. When I called the phone number on the bill the recorded response was that they do not answer the phone and to mail them with my complaint. I have sent the copy of my check and the bill and have not heard back from them nor do I expect to.

This company is a sham. They are trying to bill me for a magazine subscription that I have already paid for!

I received an invoice for subscription to *** Magazine. I paid the initial payment $59.98 but have never received the magazine. Later I received an invoice directly from *** Magazine and when I called to tell them I had paid PPS, they told me they were not associated with PPS. I called PPS but there is only a recording saying I need to send correspondence via mail only. I sent them a notice requesting a refund for $59.98 but have not heard back nor received a refund. Today I received another invoice for the balance of $59.97. I would like PPS to refund me the $59.98 I have already paid. I have also received other invoices from them for other magazines that I did not order.

I have a subscription to *** magazine. I have already paid for my annual subscription. Now I have received two notices from two different companies saying that I owe more money. When calling *** magazine services they told me both these requests for money were scams. One of the letters was from: Publishers Partnership Services *** The other letter was from: *** Magazine Service department told me to report these scams to the Revdex.com. I did not pay either of these bills.

Ms.,Your name has been removed from our mailing list.Thank you.

I have written Publishers Partnership Services several times trying to have my sister's name and address removed from their mailing list. My sister died almost one-year ago. When I closed out my sister's mailbox, PPS continued to send magazine subscription advertisements to my sister at MY ADDRESS
!! This company seems to ignore and/or have no concern over this matter and persists with repetitive mailings that apparently can not be stopped.

Publishers Partnership Services Response • Dec 20, 2018

Ms.,The only person at this address we have listed is *** and she has been removed from our mailing list. Thank you.

Customer Response • Dec 20, 2018

Revdex.com:
The matter involved difficulty in having my deceased sister's address removed from the mailing list of this particular business after having notified them several times of this request. I have received a personal email from a company representative kindly acknowledging that they had completely necessary steps to have the address removed from the mailing list and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

With Thanks

I renewed my *** Subscription through this company and find out that my magazine subscription was not renewed for 2 years as shown. Would like to know where my $49.95 went?

Publishers Partnership Services Response • Dec 20, 2018

Ms.,As indicated on the mailer it takes 6-12 weeks for you to receive your magazine. I show that your order was processed at the clearinghouse on 9/3/18. Please let me know if you have still not received anything.Thank you.

I was fooled by the two invoices that Publishers Partnership Services (PPS) sent to my home address, thinking it was the renewal notice for my *** magazine subscription. I sent a check in the amount of $34.98 to them on 6/9/18 and another check for $34.97 on 8/25/18 for the second installment. Although both checks have been cashed by Publisher's Partnership Services, I have not received the *** magazine and would like a complete refund of both checks.

I'd like my address removed from the business' mailing list. I do not want to be a part of the excessive waste involved with their unsolicited mailings.

I realize it’s going to take time and that’s there’s a process to having one’s name removed from a list (although, it seems pretty simple actually: just take my name and address off the list) and I feel like enough time had passed. Nevertheless, I’m still receiving mailers from them. I’ve gotten 2-3 in the past two or so months. After the submitting my initial complaint, I received an email from the company indicating that they would remove my address and name from their mailing list. After receiving another mailer, I emailed the company directly asking them to remove my name and address. I also sent a letter to their physical mailing address asking the same. Nothing seems to work. All I want is to not receive their mailers (for products I’m not interested in). I am saying nothing for their nefarious business practices based on customer reviews I’ve read, I just don’t want to be a part of such a large waste of resources (ie paper). Thanks for your help!

:Just received another mailer from Publisher Partnership Services today. It must stop!***Thanks!

Total scam. They sent me a $49.95 bill for one year of *** Geographic. My subscription is paid up for two years.

Publishers Partnership Services Response • Jul 16, 2019

Dear Jan,

Thank you for your email.

Please ensure you read the offer, which clearly indicates it is not a bill and is only an offer. If you are not interested in taking advantage of the offer, simply throw it away. This can be found in bold red lettering on the front, in addition to the detailed explanation on the back.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will remove you from future mailings.

I ordered 2 years of *** magazine through PPS. Paying the first installment in July and the second in August. I have yet to receive the magazine. The advertisement looked very much like a bill and, at first, I believed it was from ***. I contacted the company and have yet to receive a response. The number on the ad, which looks like a bill, says all correspondence needs to be in writing. There are no people to talk about issues with. I wrote a letter to the company with no reply. I continue to receive other ads for other magazines from them. I have paid for a 2 year subscription and wish to receive the service I paid for.

Ms.,Your name has been removed from the mailing list.Thank you.

This company sent what looked just like an invoice for *** Magazine to my elderly father. He wrote a check for the full amount and has been trying to reach them ever since to confirm when they will start his subscription. He has not received any magazines to date. *** is published every 2 weeks.

He paid $69.95 via check which cleared his bank on 9/7/18. He thinks he is dealing with ***. I saw his check clear online because I keep an eye on his finances, and looked into this company on Revdex.com. I believe they are STILL using VERY deceptive and unethical advertising that looks for all intents and purposes just like an invoice. My Dad is chronically ill and does not get out much any more, so he has no idea that this was NOT the actual *** folks, not to mention that *** is available for just $20.

On or around June 15, 2018, I received a deceptive "offer" from PPS to renew my *** magazine. Not realizing this "offer" was not from *** magazine, I accepted the "offer" and returned it along with my check in the full amount ($69.95) on June 15. On June 20, 2018, I received a renewal offer from the real *** magazin e. I immediately wrote PPS cancelling my order to renew and requested a refund in accordance with their Guarantee which as stated by the company, "All orders are fully cancelable and if your order has not yet been processed we will gladly refund 100% of your payment. (To date, the order was never processed.) Having received no response, I called the company on July 31, 2018. All I was able to get was a recording giving you a menu for but which would not allow you to connect with a human being. Finally gave up on this and tried again to correspond with them to no avail on August 8, 2018. With their failure to respond, I sent another letter by Certified Mail on September 4,2018, for which I have proof of delivery. I gave the company until September 30, 2018, to send my refund and advised them I would be contacting the State attorney for *** if they did not respond. ***) Anyway, to date I have had no response and no refund, so any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I know you have had numerous complaints about this company and hope you can resolve one more. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. By the way, this crooked outfit is sending me additional "offers" to renew magazines for which I do not even subscribe to!

I ordered a magazine subscription with this company for ***. I have been billed more than (3) three times and have not reordered at any time, however; I keep getting these magazines for far longer than the original subscription was for. I have never paid them to resubscribe. I have checked my credit cards and do not find a charge from them but they keep sending me a magazine. I feel that they are charging me somehow it the magazine would stop. It said " if you do not want to resubscribe please do not send a payment and it will cancel automatically ". The magazine keeps coming and I cannot find where they charge me. I will continue to look over my accounts for their charge, which I feel they must.

Ms.,We do not show an order placed for you at the address indicated below. Do you have a copy of the canceled check you could forward?Thank you.

I ordered a subscription to *** Magazine. I received an invoice from this company (Publisher Partnership Services) and paid the invoice (to them). At the time, I was thinking I was making a payment to *** magazine. In the meantime, I get an invoice from *** magazine themselves. I called ***, and they said this company is incorrectly invoicing customers for the subscription. I had wondered why it wasn't showing a credit for what I had paid to Publisher Partnership on my "real" invoice from ***. *** magazine said they were familiar with this company doing this practice, and that I needed to complain to the Revdex.com.

Publishers Partnership Services Response • Oct 01, 2018

Ms.,

PPS is an independent agent for magazine subscriptions as indicated on the mailer you received which also states that this is "an offer." *** magazine has misinformed you and has been contacted by our attorneys. We received your order on 8/23/18 and a check for $54.98 for a one year subscription in the amount of $109.95 of which you have $54.97 outstanding. We can refund you $54.98 less our processing and cancellation fees of $15.00. Please email me directly at *** to let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you.

Hello, My Mom sent a check to PPS for 79.95 on May 2, 2018, the check was cashed on May 21, 2018. This was for a 1 year subscription to ***. When she saw that the check was cashed she called PPS and via a recorded message wrote to PPS asking about her subscription and cashed check. This was around the end of May/beginning of June. She got no response from them. Fast forward to now and still no magazine. I contacted *** thru email and gave them my moms address and name and was told they have no record of payment or subscription. She at this point is looking for a refund. PPS is not responding to us. Can you help her/us going forward? .

I routinely pay for a subscription to *** Magazine for my spouse. She received what appeared to be a renewal notice from Publishers Partnership Services and gave it to me to pay which I did, forgetting that I had set up an automatic payment directly with ***. In the meantime, *** Magazine charged my credit card. When I called *** to investigate, they told me they had never received payment from Publishers Partnership. I checked with my bank and they confirmed that the check had been cashed.

Could you please email me directly: *** with the full name and address as well as the magazine you are requesting a refund for? Thank you.

We constantly receive notices of continuation or new orders for magazines we never ordered, asking for payment. We have written them no fewer than 12 times with copies of these notices asking them to stop sending them to us, and they continue to send them. We are Senior Citizens, and to be honest, there is always a chance we will inadvertently forward a payment for a magazine we never requested.
