RPM is a licensed third party collection agency operating in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Ms. [redacted] is alleging harassment by claiming RPM has been calling her twice a day for the last two months. She wants these calls to stop. After a review of our records, I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:RPM received a file from our client Jefferson Capital on October 7, 2015, for a consumer that is not Ms. [redacted]. All telephone attempts were within the convenient times as allowed by the FDCPA Section 805 a (1). RE: [redacted] Complaint ID: [redacted] To Whom It May Concern, I am in receipt of and have reviewed the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] against Receivables Performance Management, LLC (RPM). Mr. [redacted] states that he has never had Sprint long distance service and that the account RPM is...

attempting to collect does not exist. He believes RPM is a fraudulent company and requests that the account be removed from his credit history if reported. After review of our file and contacting our client I offer the following response on behalf of RPM: RPM is a third-party collection agency licensed in all fifty states and the District of Columbia that provides collection services on behalf of Sprint Long Distance and other creditors. Sprint originally listed Mr. [redacted]’s account with RPM for collection in 2010. The account was recalled and re-listed by Sprint several other times, the most recent being in 2015. RPM’s business records reflect a conversation with Mr. [redacted] in 2010 that did not result in payment. RPM’s next interaction with Mr. [redacted] was not until August 29, 2017 when he requested a copy of an invoice. RPM has since requested clarification from Sprint Long Distance as to the status of the account. Given the age of the account., RPM is no longer reporting the debt to Mr. [redacted]’s credit history and will make no further attempts to contact him regarding this debt.   RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter and apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience. If RPM may be of further assistance to Mr. [redacted], please contact me at 425-412-2642. Very Truly Yours, Mark T. C[redacted] General Counsel

Dear Ms. [redacted]

I am in receipt of and have reviewed the above referenced follow up complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] against Receivables Performance Management, LLC (RPM). RPM is a licensed third party collection agency operating in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Mr. [redacted] continues to state he never received the two Paid in Full letters RPM sent him. After a review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:

RPM received payment for the full balance owing on May 2, 2016. RPM mailed the paid in full (PIF) letter on May 5, 2016. RPM is sorry if that letter was never received, however a second PIF letter, on RPM letterhead, was e-mailed to Mr. [redacted] on May 24, 2016. The e-mail address was [redacted] which is the address on both his RPM account and the complaint sent to our office. RPM also sent the PIF status update to the three major credit bureaus on May 8, 2016. RPM has attached another PIF letter to this response.

RPM appreciates the opportunity to resolve this complaint. If you have additional questions regarding our handling of this matter I can be reached at [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted],
I am in receipt of and have reviewed the above referenced complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] against...

Receivables Performance Management, LLC (RPM). RPM is a licensed third party collection agency operating in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Mr. [redacted]’s complaint is he paid the balance, asked for a paid in full letter, never received it and the debt is still showing as open on his credit report. After a review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:
RPM negotiated a Settlement in Full (SIF), for less than the full balance due. Mr. [redacted] paid this on February 5, 2016. RPM scheduled the SIF letter to go out on February 28, 2016, which was sent on that date. RPM also updated the credit bureau report to reflect a Paid in Full (PIF) on March 1, 2016. It generally takes approximately 30 days for the credit bureaus to update their records.
RPM appreciates the opportunity to resolve this complaint. If you have additional questions regarding our handling of this matter I can be reached at [redacted]

previously stated, RPM updated the account trade-line to reflect a paid status at the time Mr. [redacted] resolved his obligation in April 2017. RPM will send a manual update to the credit reporting agencies to ensure the account trade-line is being properly reported. If another agency who attempted to collect the debt prior to RPM is reporting the balance I suggest Mr. [redacted] contact that agency.  RPM has also sent a letter confirming the account has been settled to the email address listed in this complaint.   RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter. If you have questions regarding RPM’s handling of this matter or if RPM may be of any further assistance to Mr. [redacted], please contact me directly at (425) 412-2642.     Very Truly Yours,     Mark T. I am rejecting this response because: I have email from your company from where I paid your company, where they took my credit card information and removed from my account on 07/25/2016 in the amount of $373.74. I have receipt from where your company pulled from bank account showing it was taken from RPM Services. Yes I spoke with an associate for the company who said it would be removed from my credit report if it was paid to them. So I am confused how if I have the receipts and correspondence from your company you do not think that you took my money. I want was originally spoken to me about. Thank you!
Sincerely,

demands that an account on his credit history furnished by RPM on behalf of T-Mobile be removed. After review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:   RPM received Mr. [redacted]’s T-Mobile account for collection in September 2015. A partial payment was made on February 5, 2016 and the account balance was adjusted to $0 by T-Mobile later that month. The account trade-line was updated to reflect the paid in full status however RPM later removal of the account trade-line due to the fact that the balance was adjusted by T-Mobile. A deletion request was sent to the credit reporting agencies in April 2016. Since that time Mr. [redacted] has continued to dispute the account trade-line with the credit reporting agencies resulting in a perpetual cycle of disputes and removal requests.   Upon receipt of this complaint RPM manually requested removal of the account trade-line via eOSCAR. The AUD confirmation number provided via eOSCAR is [redacted]. I suggest Mr. [redacted] retain this deletion request number if the trade-line continues to appear. RPM has no control over how long it takes the credit reporting agencies to update their records.   RPM has requested removal of the account trade-line pursuant to Mr. [redacted]’s request. RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter and resolve it to Mr. [redacted]’s satisfaction. If you have questions regarding RPM’s handling of this matter or if RPM may be of any further assistance to Mr. [redacted], please contact me directly at (425) 412-2642.     Very Truly Yours,     Mark *. I am rejecting this response because:I am not in the habit of recording conversations with businesses and depend on representatives from businesses like RPM to be honest with their communications. After reviewing so many online complaints that expose RPM with the same complaint I have Any reasonable person could conclude this business is in the habit of telling consumers one thing, and doing another. Again, I request RPM remove the item from my credit report as promised and send me a letter stating that it was done. Thank you.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The business did not address the main concern of the complaint.  First, I did not give this company nor Direct TV permission to call my cell phone for billing purposes.  Second, when this company called my cell phone, I answered the first 3 times for the first two days that they called.  Both from the [redacted] number and the [redacted] number.  When I answered, the person on the other line hung up.  Felt like being prank called from random numbers.  It was scary and I don't appreciate that.  It wasn't until I looked at the caller ID of my home phone that I realized it was the same company.
I do appreciate that after I contacted the business and disputed the bill, they have stopped calling both cell phone line and home line.  That is acting professionally and I appreciate that.  I just suggest that the company does a little more research into how to use cell phone numbers if it is, in fact, true that they are allowed to call cell phones. Even though the person has not given permission, they should act professional and not hang up every time the person answers the phone.  That leads me to believe that the company is not allowed to call the cell phone without permission.
Sincerely,[redacted]

was contacted by RPM via letter for a debt that is not his. Mr. [redacted] states that she has never done business with [redacted] and that the account statements he was provided show a different middle initial than his. He requests no further contact from RPM. After review of our file and contacting our client, I offer the following response on behalf of RPM: [redacted] listed an account in the name of [redacted] with RPM for collection in October 2017. The last four digits of the Social Security number of the consumer responsible for the account are [redacted]. If this does not match Mr. [redacted] SSN, then he can disregard the notice as it appears he was contacted in error. The last known address originally provided by [redacted] was different than the address where Mr. [redacted] resides, however Mr. [redacted]’s address was later provided to RPM by a third-party data vendor as the correct address for the consumer responsible for the debt. It now appears this address was also incorrect. RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused Mr. [redacted]. RPM will cease further attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] regarding this matter. Columbia. Mr. [redacted] states that he has no contract with RPM, but rather he is contractually bound to Windstream for a past due debt of $496.65. He claims RPM has no right report the account to his credit history and demands to see proof that RPM is licensed to collect debts in Florida. After review of our file and contacting our client, I offer the following response on behalf of RPM.   Windstream placed Mr. [redacted]’ account with RPM for third-party collection services in February 2017. RPM does not own Mr. [redacted]’ debt, rather we work at the direction of Windstream who maintains ownership of the account. RPM acts as a data furnisher to the credit reporting agencies on behalf of Windstream. Mr. [redacted] does not dispute owing the debt to Windstream, in fact he freely admits the balance. Thus, RPM is acting accordingly in reporting the account to the credit reporting agencies on behalf of Windstream.   Attached for Mr. [redacted]’ review is a copy of RPM’s Florida license.   RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter. the District of Columbia. Ms. [redacted] states she has no knowledge of a Dish account appearing on her credit history and requests that it be removed. After review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:   RPM received Ms. [redacted]’s Dish account for collection on December 6, 2016. On December 9, 2016, RPM sent Ms. [redacted] a notice identifying the debt, creditor, and her rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to her last know address provided by Dish, [redacted] This notice was not returned as undeliverable, however was updated upon receipt of this complaint to 2773 Fire Tower Rd. RPM’s business records reflect attempts to contact Ms. [redacted] by telephone, however there is no record of contact. Until receipt of this complaint, RPM was unaware that Ms. [redacted] disputed the debt or any portion thereof.   Attached please find the account statement provided by Dish as verification of the debt. I know the credit reporting agencies tale 30 to 60 days to update their information; however if that is the case why did it shoe up on my credit report only after 30 days of me making a payment????. you are dishonest if not illegal.  the law states you have 45 days after the account has gone delinquent. I made a payment on 10/22. it should have never went on my credit report as I was trying to make good on the debt. get it off my report now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will give you 1 more daySincerely,[redacted]

DIRECTV. Mr. [redacted] states that RPM is reporting a debt to his credit history which is no longer owed in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). He requests that RPM remove the matter from his credit history. After review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:   DIRECTV listed Mr. [redacted]’ account with RPM for collection on May 8, 2017. On October 11, 2015. Mr. [redacted] was sent multiple notices to the address listed in this complaint advising him of the debt, creditor, and his rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). RPM has no record of this notice being returned as undeliverable. RPM made multiple attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] by telephone and first spoke to him in August 2016 where he stated he would call back to set up payment arrangements. RPM did not speak to Mr. [redacted] again until March 27, 2017 where he paid the outstanding balance in full.   RPM closed and returned the account as paid in full to DIRECTV. RPM also updated the account trade-line on Mr. [redacted]’s credit history to reflect the paid status. As a data furnisher to the credit reporting agencies, RPM is required to report complete and accurate information. RPM is reporting the account accurately as paid in full. Mr. [redacted] has since filed a dispute via eOSCAR which RPM investigated and responded that the account was being accurately reported.   RPM appreciates the opportunity to respond to this matter. On May 12, 2016 RPM sent Ms. [redacted] a notice identifying the debt, creditor, and her rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to her last known address. fifty states and the District of Columbia. Ms. [redacted] states that she paid her delinquent [redacted] account, however her credit score is low because RPM reported the account as delinquent to the credit reporting agencies. She requests the matter be corrected. After a review of our records I offer the following response on behalf of RPM:

RPM received Ms. [redacted]’s [redacted] account for collection on May 8, 2016. On May 11th, RPM mailed Ms. [redacted] a notice advising of the debt, amount owed, and her rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). RPM received no response to this notice. RPM’s business records reflect no contact with Ms. [redacted] by telephone despite multiple attempts to contact her. On August 10th, RPM was advised that Ms. [redacted] had paid the account balance directly to [redacted]. The account trade-line was updated to reflect the paid status.

As a data furnisher to the credit reporting agencies, RPM has contractual and legal obligations to furnish accurate information. It is our belief that Ms. [redacted]’s account is being accurately reported as paid in full. To remove an account because it was paid would put RPM in breach of our requirements as a data furnisher and compromise the integrity of the credit reporting system.

RPM appreciates the opportunity to resolve this complaint. If you have additional questions regarding our handling of this matter I can be reached at (425) 412-2642
