RE: [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted],
On July 29, 2015, "Reloadit" received a complaint from [redacted] with respect to...

a Reloadit Pack. "Reloadit" is actually a brand name, not a company. Blackhawk Network California, Inc. is the issuer of the Reloadit Pack.
On July 22, 2015, Ms. [redacted] purchased a Reloadit Pack and associated $145 with the Pack. She attempted to transfer the money on her Pack to a prepaid card via the internet the following day.
Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted] appears to have been the victim of a cloned site. She certainly did not go to www.reloadit.com; instead, she went to a site that looked like www.reloadit.com but was not (we have discovered several such sites and continue to contact those sites' hosts to request that the sites be taken down; nevertheless, they keep popping up). We are positive this is the case, because the actual Reloadit site requires every customer to create a safe using their email address. A safe was never created using Ms. [redacted]' email address even though she claims to have done so.
When Ms. [redacted] entered her Pack number on the cloned site, she gave the fraudsters the information they needed to transfer the money on her Pack to a prepaid card they controlled. By the time Ms. [redacted] realized that the funds were not on her card, the fraudsters had done just that. The funds were loaded to a third party prepaid card on July 23, 2015.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide a refund to Ms. [redacted] because she gave the Pack number to a criminal. We suggest that she file a police report regarding this matter. If Ms. [redacted] does pursue this matter with law enforcement, then we will assist them in their efforts to apprehend the perpetrators.
We consider this matter closed. Please, reach out to us with any further questions.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is not accurate I went on reloadit.com website as instructed on the "reloadit" card. I already had a safe created using my email which I logged in and tryed to load my pack, it was giving me a invalid error. I never went on any clone website It's no such thing as a clone website I already used reloadit before I tryed to load this so im familiar with the proper website and way to load my card. I want a full refund because I did not use a clone website I used reloadit.com maybe a error on their end because I followed instructions as prompted.

On September 2, 2015, we received a rebuttal from [redacted] with respect to our response to her original complaint.
We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] was a victim of a cloned site. Unfortunately, we do not have any way of preventing fraudsters from creating these sites. We continue to contact these sites' hosts to request that the sites be taken down as soon as we are made aware of them. We are unable to provide a refund because the funds are no longer available. We will work with law enforcement regarding this matter in order to assist with the apprehension of the perpetrators.

Dear Ms. [redacted],
On February 27, 2015, Blackhawk Network, Inc. ("Blackhawk") received a complaint from [redacted] with...

respect to four Reloadit Packs that her mother purchased as a result of a scam. Blackhawk's affiliate, Blackhawk Network California, Inc., is the issuer of the Reloadit Pack.
On January 29, 2015, Ms. [redacted]'s mother, Ms. [redacted] received a call from someone (a fraudster) claiming that her grandson was in jail. Ms. [redacted] was asked to purchase four Reloadit Packs for $500 each in order to post bail for her grandson who had allegedly been arrested. She purchased the Packs, but never provided the information to the fraudster. Ms. [redacted] originally contacted customer service on April 1, 2015. At that time, she was informed that she could apply the Packs to a prepaid card, which she said that she would do.
In order to apply a Reloadit Pack to a prepaid card, a customer must create a Reloadit safe at www.reloadit.com. The safe is now a requirement for all Reloadit customers in an effort to safeguard our customers from fraud. Unfortunately, Ms.[redacted] had difficulty creating the safe and was unable to apply the funds from the Packs to her prepaid card.
We are sorry that Ms. [redacted] was victimized by this fraud scheme. She provided copies to us of the Packs and receipt for verification. We issued a refund check for the full amount of $2000 on June 23, 2015. Ms. [redacted] should receive it in 7-10 days.
Accordingly, we consider this matter closed. Please, reach out to us with any further questions.

I dont accept the response given because it doesn't validate the complaint I had. The issue I have is that they FAIL to disclose anywhere on the reloadit pack, in their disclosures, and on the website that there is a 4hr or more hold time before your funds are available. And they dont tell you until after you've loaded the funds on the pack, and It wasnt until I called in to speak with customer service that they disclosed it. They just have your funds giving you no option but to wait. They should at least mention the validation period and hold time they have and required to validate the card prior to you depositing your funds so you have an option to decide if you want to consider their service which I would not consider again having to find out the way I did during an URGENT matter at the time.

RE: [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted],
On July 2, 2015, "Reloadit" received a complaint from [redacted] with respect to applying funds from his Reloadit...

Packs to a prepaid card via the Reloadit Safe on www.reloadit.com. "Reloadit" is actually a brand name; not a company. Blackhawk Network California, Inc. operates this website and issues the Reloadit Pack.
Mr. [redacted] states that he experienced difficulties applying a Reloadit Pack to a prepaid card. All Reloadit customers must create a safe via www.reloadit.com. The safe is now a requirement for all Reloadit customers in an effort to safeguard our customers from fraud. For security purposes, there is a waiting period from the time a Reloadit Pack is added to a safe until the customer may apply it to a prepaid card. There is also a card validation period for each new prepaid card that is added to the safe. Currently, the safe is the only method in which a customer may apply the funds from a Reloadit Pack to a prepaid card.
Mr. [redacted] states that he purchased two Reloadit Packs and associated $500 to each on June 20, 2015. He states that he was unable to successfully apply the Packs to his prepaid card until July 3, 2015. As a result of the delay, Mr. [redacted] claims that he was charged $146 in late fees. He has requested to be reimbursed for these charges. Mr. [redacted] has provided documentation that supports these charges. We have contacted Mr. [redacted] regarding compensation.
We consider this matter to be closed. Please reach out to us with any further questions.
Best Regards,

RE: [redacted]

Dear [redacted]

On October 12, 2015, “Reloadit” received a complaint from [redacted] with respect to a refund for a Reloadit Pack.  “Reloadit” is...

actually a brand name, not a company.  Blackhawk Network California, Inc. is the issuer of the Reloadit Pack.

On September 15, 2016, [redacted] purchased a Reloadit Pack and associated $200 with the Pack.  That same day, [redacted] called us and informed us that the PIN (located under a peel-off covering) was not readable.  Since the PIN is required to create a safe at[redacted] and load a prepaid card with a Reloadit Pack, a refund request was created and [redacted] was informed that he should expect a check in 30 business days.

For security purposes, documentation is requested for every Reloadit refund request.  We apologize if this was not properly communicated to [redacted] at the time the refund was requested.  We have processed a refund for the amount of the Pack.  [redacted] should receive it in approximately two weeks.  We have reached out to him to inform him of this and have provided a sample copy of a check so that he knows what to expect.

We apologize for any delay or inconvenience that [redacted] may have experienced.

We consider this matter closed.  Please, reach out to us with any further questions.

Best Regards,
