Remington Arms Company Reviews (177)

[redacted],           We are in contact with the consumer to get the parts sent out to him.

[redacted],            This was our response to Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted], My name is Chris and I have been assigned to handle your rebate issue from our Black Friday Promotion. First let me apologize for the issues you have experienced up to this point....

We strive to make the rebate process as simple and painless as possible. With that in mind there are issues from time to time that are beyond our control. The Revdex.com informed us that you have not received your rebate check but someone from our rebate company stated that you had received it and it was deposited. After some research on my end I was able to obtain a copy of the check that was deposited. We are unable to see what bank it was deposited with as it appears to be an ATM deposit or a mobile deposit. I have attached the image of the check to this email. If you can please review the image and verify if that is your signature I can let you know what steps we will take next.

[redacted], I have asked my folks to send out a couple of magazines as requested.

[redacted],            It appears that we spoke with Mr. [redacted] about the firearm in question yesterday. Mr. [redacted] advised us that he has a problem with his magazine, which we were more than happy to send out a replacement at no charge. Mr. [redacted] refused and...

requested a new firearm. We will still be happy to send him a new magazine or he can send the gun to us for evaluation under our limited lifetime warranty, see link below. https://www.remington.com/support/firearm-warranty-information/limited-lifetime-...

[redacted],      We have asked the rebate center to honor Mr. [redacted]’s rebate request.

I am rejecting this response because:
I can provide upc to some boxes. I gave a good many away at Christmas for presents which I can not get those back. I feel like remington can look at the upc case number and retrieve the upc for each box. [redacted] does it for their rebate process looks like remington is being overmatched by their competion. However for the upc codes I do have, I need direct contct information, so we can start this process. Either email address or a phone number to whom I have been dealing with would be nice, so I can send the information to the right person. Thanks

I am rejecting this response because:This is a very common defect, the magazine is unsafe and no design changes have been made to actually remedy the situation.

[redacted],            According to our records the check was cashed/cleared on 4/12/2018. Mr. [redacted] may need to see if someone in his household processed the check if he does not remember doing so.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/10/14) */
[redacted],
The UPC barcodes that were provided for the rebate do not register in our system as any of our products. If Mr. [redacted] could please send a copy of the UPC barcodes he provided to the rebate center along with a brief description...

of the ammunition we will try to locate it in our system and reprocess this rebate.

[redacted],            As a gesture of goodwill we are having the gun serviced at no charge. It should be shipping back shortly.

[redacted],
We contacted our rebate center...

regarding Mr. [redacted]'s submission and have found that he submitted information for a firearm that is not eligible for the rebate. I have attached copies and a link to the rebate in question. As you can see on page 2 under step one it states no exceptions. Mr. [redacted] purchased a Model 700 Long Range Rifle chambered in 30-06 Sprg., product/order number [redacted]. Below is a link showing his firearm.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Remington is now stating on the second page "no exceptions" but on the front of the rebate it clearly show "Remington 700 sps RIFLES" no model exclusion beneath it or beside it only states RIFLES which I thought meant the entire line also I received an email from dawn she stated to me that Remington has not offered a rebate for this model in the past five years even thou Remington came out with the model in the 2013/14 time frame I don't know why Remington is hiding behind the small print I fulfilled my obligations and paid and sent my papers in a timely manner I don't know why there not honoring there end

Mr. [redacted] did not purchase a Model 700 SPS rifle. He purchased a Model 700 Long Range rifle which is not part of the rebate.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Hello Mrs [redacted]
If that's Remington arms misleading response it dishonest and misleading attempt to try and confuse someone who they believe is unaware. There is a youtube clip where John Fink Remington rep for the 2012 shot shows reviews the new "Remington 700 sps long range" says it verbatim , the url is copied below where he states "Remington 700 sps long range" [redacted] has it advertised as Remington 700 sps long range link also below as well as the retailer clearly advertising the sps long range I have 3 reviews below that state what Remington is clearly misleading and being dishonest about as well as 7 retailers that state the same thing I own two Remington 700 sps long range bought one from grab a gun on the details shows plain as day Remington 700 sps long range and the other one I bought on the order detail shows again on the stores sticker it's a Remington sps rifle. Please just honor the rebate it says sps rifles on the rebate form and I bought a sps rifle. Please honer the rebate

the business.)
I have been contacted by Remington Arms Co. and have been informed that I will receive a replacement firearm. I will be able to test the functionality of the new firearm after the mandatory 11 day wait period in California. I am accepting Remington's response, in expectation that the firearm is in working order out of the box. I will be in contact with Remington should I experience any further issues.

[redacted],            Looks like it was sent out on 2/23/2018. Both checks were sent to the below address provided by Mr. [redacted], which is different than the address on this claim. [redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 8, 2016/01/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
they offered me a new stock...

to off set the expence of the new gun. which I excepted. I was contacted by remington and they satisfied my request.

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2016/12/29) */
they sent a refund

I am rejecting this response because: This is a flat out lie. The gun was only sent back today 2/20/18 via UPS on tracking number
[redacted] it could not of been repaired and sent back as it just...

left my possession today and still hasn't made it to Remington. Just another example of the reason I'm through with Remington they called me and said they would be putting in for a refund for me as I requested but clearly just more games and botched customer service besides they've had my gun for about 9 months for repairs and couldn't fix it. I want my money back and the lies to stop.

Mr. [redacted] an email with return instructions on August 11th, 2015. We sent the information to: [redacted]@gmail.com. After reviewing your case file I see that he has a different email address. I have resent the information to him today to: [redacted]@gmail.com. Once we receive his firearm we will service it under the recall.

Both email addresses belong to me. There is no mistake on my end. I will file another complaint after 7 days. They told me the box was in the mail twice before already.
