Hello and thank you for contacting us,Our site does not allow you to place an order for a rental item without first ageing to the T&C for the Rental ProgramAs shown on our previous attachment the T&C include return instructionUnfortunately by not reading the T&C does not void the contractIt was been our experience with all shipping couriers that they all keep records of tracking info for a minimum of months and at times longerHad you filed a Lost Package Claim in April as advised the Post Office would have located your items and made sure they are returned to you or delivered to our warehouseIt is very possible that your items were lost in transit and later discarded by USPS as they were unclaimedUnfortunately with no proof of the items were shipped back or accepted by USPS we are unable to refund this order

Upon receiving books, our Buyback team first checks the ISBN on the book to ensure that it's the same as the ISBN on the orderThen they check the condition of the bookWhen checking the condition of the book, they also check for book authenticityBecause of the rising costs of textbooks, there are currently many scams/companies that print and sell illegal copies of textbooksSome indicators that books are inauthentic are: Poor binding Different/lower page quality Printing quality Printing dimensions Front and back cover art distorted/mis-aligned If we find these indicators, we then compare it to an authentic copy of the book and if it doesn't match then that is when it's flagged as an inauthentic copyPer our Buyback policy, "Bookbyte reserves the right to inquire how items were originally acquired and request proof of ownershipWhile under investigation, payment may be delayed or withheldAny items submitted to Bookbyte that are determined to be illegally obtained or printed will be surrendered to the proper authorities (i.e., law enforcement, publishers, or retailers)." I am rejecting this response because:I happen to be certain that the books that were returned to Bookbyte were 100% authenticIt has never been brought to my attention that I was in possession of a counterfeit copy of a textbookI've obtained books from the same trustworthy sources for yearsBecause I do not have the books and am unable to see the books, I have no way to confirm these claims or deny themIf the company is not willing to pay for the books, as they had previously agreed to do, I simply ask that they be returned to me as they remain my property

I am rejecting this response because:This type of business behavior is unacceptable. The book I sent you was in mint condition, and was in perfect reselling condition for your company to make a profit. Your supposed "agreement" was not shown to me at any point in the selling process. After checking your website, that policy is only listed on the "help" page. Your company has a notorious track record for unofficially stealing textbooks and finding copout ways to never pay for them. Your company needs to take a hard look at its values and business model, because I am finding nothing but negative reviews about your company on the Internet. Your organization and its policies are nothing but a scam, and 4,other consumers on one website alone agree with me.

I am rejecting this response because:this in completely unacceptable It states may not be included so it should be listed in clear writing DOES NOT INCLUDE SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALSIf I read that may include and then see in my description that it does I am assuming that this copy does indeed include the supplemental materials This is a complete opportunity to take advantage of students I refuse to be cheated by this company Other businesses that I looked at only specifically stated NO SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS and therefore I didn’t purchase I was specifically looking for a used copy with the supplemental materials and I know they exist as other people in my class have got them So I am sorry but this is not acceptable Please provide supplemental materials Please see my attachment of picture of label on my book which states that it includes *** *** with e text Because they do indeed sell the book without the supplemental materials So if indeed NONE OF THE USED BOOKS INCLUDE THE SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS then you should list it under that book.
