I reported my debit card stolen approx 9:00A.M on 10/27/over the phone with a TCF customer support agentLater that evening, I was contacted via automated phone call by TCF fraud protection services, asking for confirmation on purchases and ATM withdrawals that I did not makeThere were charges for Walgreens and AM Food & Tobacco, Downtown MinneapolisAs well as ATM transfers and withdrawals from both checking and savings accounts at two separate downtown ATMsThe following day I went into a branch location to figure out what happenedI was informed that the thief called and requested the card be re-activated (pretending to be me) and that the bank complied with this

I have asked numerous times to be opted out Continue to be listed as opted in They also manipulate the posted debits to maximize overdraft fees for them These fees would have never have occurred if they just kept me opted-out as requested at the branch and by phone The way the manipulate posted debits is worrisome as well

I have been a consumer for at least years with TCF I have never had an overdraft or any other issue with my account Today I go online to pay bills as usual, only to find my account is closed I called TCF, and when the agent looked up my accounts, she said " your account was closed because we sent out a questionnaire and we did not get it back by the specified time requested." I asked her about what questionnaire, and she said ," I can not look that information up." Then I was told to go to a local branch office, they could get that information, print the form and I could fill it out there, then have them fax the form I do not think it is legal for a bank to close an account in good standing, with out prior notification that they are going to do so I am extremely angry, and will be moving my account else where, but this is still a formal complaint for which I want something done about this practice

I was told by several representatives that when transacting on my account with a pin transaction the transactions are debited immediately I was never told about any cut off time or that I had to do my PIN transactions before a certain time for them to post the same day I was told by more than one representative that as long as I use my pin it is deducted immediately Now that I did do it as instructed by TCF representatives I am still charged an over draft fee even though their representatives have advised me otherwise TCF is now refusing to refund me over draft fees for PIN charged transactions that I did per their representatives recommendations to avoid overdraft fees however I have still been charged overdraft fees even though I followed and transacted as I was told to do so by their representatives

Nov I started a transfer with the automated service for a to be transfer from my business account to my personal I was told by the automated service that it would be done by midnightFast forward to nov my account is in the negative because transfer was not done I called customer service and was told that my business and personal was not connected There is a new system in place that's not fully up and running per Kim with custmer serviceThe automated service should not have aloud me to proceed but it did So I have be charged in fees plus my creditor have levied fee for the the return checks Please correct this issue promptly, seem like TCF is a fee driven institution

We have been with TCF for almost years and over this time we have discovered a lot of shady/questionable acts or activities A month or so ago, we discovered charges for hotels at different hotels for the same night of staying We called TCF and she file a rege claim but days later, yes, just days later, we received a letter stating that we need to dispute with hotels.com and that she had closed our case Wow! Also, the bank teller on the phone also stated that she could cancel our debit card and issue us a new one Nothing Nada happened We continue to use our bank card currently and there are more questionable charges
