We had an extra garbage can from when my wife lived in Independence KY that she had paid for in past. When *** dissolved, we had to go with another garbage collection company. Rumpke needed to collect their can. They took the van that was placed on side of the road for pickup. They also came in to our property and took OUR extra cab.
When I first spoke with representative ( Logan) a few weeks ago, she told me that they would replace can that was taken, for FREE. I waited for delivery. Subsequent calls I was told that we would have to pay for monthly service of this can and register it with Rumpke. This is not what I was told initially. I don’t want to use replacement can for garbage removal.
I need can for storage.

I had Rumpke trash service for 35 years at ***, Cincinnati, OH *** (account #***). I sold the house and moved to a new house at *** I called Rumpke on 4/23/2020, speaking to Porshe (sp?) to cancel my ***. service and start service at the new home (new account #***). I was instructed to place the green recycle container in front of the garage at *** and it would be picked up. Two months and one week have passed and the container has not been picked up. I received a two bills for the container, and called Rumpke on 5/18/20 (Tiffany R.), 5/21/20 (Porsche), 6/19/20 (Tikqua) and 6/24/20 (Maggie). Each time I was told the container would be picked up within ten days. On 6/19/20, the employee agreed to remove the container purchase charge from my bill.

The new homeowner is very annoyed that Rumpke has not picked up the container. As of today (6/30/2020 at 11:00 am) - the container remains in front of the home at *** and has not been picked up as repeatedly promised by Rumpke employees.

My business has been a customer since April of this year. Since starting service, I've had nothing but issues. My daycare's trash is NOT getting picked up. I am on an every other week schedule. I have complained to my sales representative, Brittni M, Commercial Inside Sales Representative, 476 East Fifth Avenue, Columbus, OH 43201, , several times. She has offered me SEVERAL credits for not getting picked up. I just want my trash picked up as scheduled!

This is the only service option in the area. The cost is high, customer service is extremely low to nonexistent. It is a 50/50 chance of recyclables being picked up, following all of their rules (those that I can find and those that differ from one customer representative from another) and still yard waste, trash ,recycling dont always get picked up. If there is a rule I didnt know about, then one should be able to expect an email at the very least for notification as to why something wasnt picked up. Once again one will receive different reasons by different customer service reps.
Rumpke customer service doesnt really help in resolving issues. The latest is bagged yard waste with a label (one needs to purchase yard bags at grocery and purchase a Rumpke Sticker to have grass or flower clippings picked up. The ground was damp so I 0laced the paper yard bags on top of the recycle bin to keep the bag dry. Well that was a no no and the bag or recycle bin were pi led up. I called and it was to be picked up again. That was not the case. We pay a high price for very poor service from a company with poor communication and no concern for providing the service purchased. Lastly, this is not an individual issue, but a neighborhood issue.

I want to say that I called on June 10th to schedule a pick up of an old mattress and box springs. Pick up was scheduled for June 16th. The night of the 15th we wrapped them both in plastic and laid them at the end of our drive behind my car which is maybe 3 or 4 feet away from the curb, to keep from blocking the sidewalk. Tuesday the 16th came and went and they were still sitting there. When I called this morning the 17th the refused to pick it up because it was not physically at the curb and offered to pick it up next week when it’s at the curb. Problem being, they are too heavy to move on my own and blocking my car from Tuesday to Sunday as I am alone until Sunday. Second problem, putting it physically at the curb blocks the sidewalk and kills the grass. Both the supervisor and receptionist I spoke to lacked empathy and care to truly support their community. Refusal over three feet? It’s hard to mistake a mattress for trash when I specially scheduled a pick up and wrapped it in plastic and placed at the end of the drive. I am now blocked in because I cannot move this on my own and they have no care in the world because it’s wasn’t three feet closer to the curb.

We started service with Rumpke in early May 2020. Rumpke said they would deliver us a trash can within 7-10 days. We're now almost in July and still no trash can. Every time we call, we get the same response "it's on order, we don't know why it's not there yet." This is even after speaking with their manager who said there's nothing they could do. We have maggots in our brand new garage now because that's the only place we can store the trash. This type of customer service is not acceptable. Rumpke has to do better. I honestly didn't think it would be this difficult for an established company to do a simple task of delivering a trash can.

Rumpke has failed to pick up my trash for the 3 week in row . When I call to complain, they say that they will send a special pickup person that handles missed collections within 24 to 48 hours this a lie. They will take your money but will not give you any service.
They never send anyone out. I have no idea how they got a A+

Horrendous Customer service.
I’ve been a customer for exactly 1 week. I cut down branches from a dead tree and order a special pick up. I asked the customer service rep what I needed to do and was told they must be cut down to 4 feet. I do that. Thursday rolls around and they aren’t taken because they aren’t bundled which I was not told.
I call customer service again and they tell me that I need to bundle them and someone will come by to pick them up later in the day.
Friday morning, still sitting on my lawn in nice neat bundles. I call customer service again, and they tell me that it will be a full week before they are picked up and they refuse to do anything to fix their terrible customer service mistakes.
1 week and already very dissatisfied. Provide better customer service or at the bare minimum own up to your mistakes.

It has been about 5-6 weeks since this originally happened. I have contacted no less than 5 times to attempt to resolve this. I really appreciate the help of the Revdex.com.

When attempting to get trash out of my dumpster, the associate proceeded to lift my can and bang it on the truck (I was watching through the window as my dog likes to bark at them). In the process of banging it on the truck as hard as he possibly could, he managed to break my can to the point it was unusable. I immediately reached out to the company (Literally within 10 minutes of the incident) and was essentially told that their corporate was going to let the manager handle it. I was told a work ticket was put into the system and that the store manager would contact me back. I called a week later to the same customer service number since I hadn't heard anything and was taken through the same runaround. A few days later (Of still not hearing back from the manager) I called a 3rd time. Once again I was taken through a bunch of hoops only to be told it is on the manager and they are very busy. They sent another email to the manager and told me to wait until contacted. When I finally received a call from the manager, I was told they might have a used one I could have (Gross but at this point, I just wanted a trash can that works! It's been 2-3 weeks at this point). I never heard back from this manager despite attempting to call numerous times!
A little while later, I received a call from someone that was going to get approval to buy me a new one from the *** account they have set up in my area. I have been waiting for 5-6 weeks total now and my problem has come to a complete halt. I am no longer getting any communication from them and still have no trash can.

I pay for a monthly service that *** . we are aloud 1 bulk pick up weekly and every time I sit a bulk item out I make sure I follow all rules about the particular item then I call to schedule for my bulk pickup . when the day comes the trash man NEVER even gets out of his truck to pick up the item and leaves it . then I call and go thru the same *** just to have it not picked up again. Their service *** and it's not fair to have to pay for a monthly service that doesn't do as promised.

They forgot to pickup our trash, 6 bags in plain sight.. customer service is unprofessional and still waiting for a pick up two days later. They should not be A+ on Revdex.com.

I have been a customer for over 15 years at the same location and never had a problem with pick up in the past. In the last one to three months, Rumpke has failed to pick up my trash at least three times. Each time I have to call and ask that someone please pick up the trash. I always pay my bill on-time and never overload the can. It is a 45 gal can (well under the allowable). It has never been overloaded and is always at the curb the night before the designated pick up day. When I call they have always returned, however their business practice is to return one or two days after I call. That means the garbage is always sitting in the front of my house for days subject to animals, wind blowing the can over, etc. If they pick up within 24 to 48 hours not including the pick up day and that happens threes time in two months, my garbage is sitting in front of house 10% to15% of the time.That is unacceptable. I pay for this service and it is not cheap. I just want my trash picked up at the appointed time. If it is not, I expect a more rapid response than a day or three later. I know they certainly don't expect me to pay my bill two to three days after the due date because I state those are my business practices.

This company keeps coming up with additional fees. I pay my regular bill, then I get a bill for using the recycling container, which I have never used. A couple months later I receive a bill for a fuel surcharge. With gas being $1-$2 per gallon, this is ridiculous. But they sent us a bill threatening to stop our service if we didn't pay, so I paid the $16. A couple weeks later I receive a phone call asking that I contact them about my account. It was after hours when I got the message, so I messaged them via their website. I stated that I had paid the regular amount in addition to an extra $16.50. I told them if they hadn't received this to let me know and I would get with the bank. I received a return call that they had received the payment, but there was still $13 due. I messaged them asking what this was for on their site and via Facebook messenger. The person on messenger replied that someone would call me. I didn't receive a call so I tried to message them back and they had blocked me. So they suspended our service for 2 weeks, keep in mind we just paid for 3 months. So I paid the mysterious $13. The next day they illegally dumped our trash onto the sidewalk and took the can. So I called and they said they terminated our service because we still owed .45 cents! I asked her if they were going to deduct the 45 cents and refund our remaining payment. She came up with some crazy balance we had supposedly been paying on. As anyone who pays for trash service, you know you have to pay in advance. So I want the 7 weeks we paid for to be refunded.

New driver ran his truck over the curb side of my property causing a big rut through it! They brought this to my attention after the fact ,honest employees!

I would say 70% of the time our trash has not been picked up on the day of service. I have to call and they send someone out to collect garbage usually within 36 hours. Most Recently....Friday May 1, our trash was not picked up. I called the office and left a voice mail which was never returned - or if they did call no message was left. On Monday May 4 I called again and the person at Rumpke that I spoke with said that because the trash bin was not out curbside they didnt pick it up. We were never contacted by Rumpke stating that they would be there on Monday to pick it up so we did not leave it curbside - as we do noi like to leave garbage out for a number of days. The person at Rumpke was very rude and said have it out by the curb and it will be picked up Tuesday May 5. We put it out at 600AM and when I got home from work it still had not been picked up. I called Rumpke and the very rude person on the line had to put me on hold several times and finally told me that an employee from Rumpke had been to the house at 1:30pm and the trash was up behind the house. This is a LIE, and I told the Rumpke employee that the driver was lying, our trash was out by the road all day. She stated that nobody will pick up our trash until the normal pick up day of Friday at this point. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I should not have to call to have our trash picked up and I should not be treated this way. Obviously the driver was lying about picking up our trash. We pay our bill on time and this business is a joke.

Rumpke Refuse did contact me and apoligize and offer a partial credit - and the genetleman that I sopke with was very sincere - and so I guess only time will tell if they live up to their promises. I have been a rumpke customer for almost 9 years now. In the past year their customer service has went down hill. I have a list of complaints that have been building. I'll focus on some of the bigger issues I have with them. First, their price is almost double what the local trash companies around me charge. Paying, extra wouldn't necessarily be a.problem if the service was there. So a year ago I started remodeling, and ever since then I have had nothing but problems with rumpke. I bought a new couch and I fought with rumpke for 3 weeks trying to get them to take my old couch. I called ahead, covered with plastic like they ask, trash man refused to take it bc there was about a 6 inch strip on the bottom of the couch that wasn't covered. This went on for 3 weeks, every trash day they had a new excuse why they couldn't take the trash. I ended up having to rent a truck and haul the old couches away myself. Strike #1. I have also spoken with the driver and requested that he close the lids on my trashcan after he empties them so they don't fill up with water if it rains. For some reason its still too hard of a task to handle, I'm constantly having to empty water from my cans bc it rained on trash day and he can't close the lid. I have had them refuse to pickup so many times recently I have actually received a warning from the health department about trash sitting at the curb too long. Now this week, he picks up every other person on my streets trash but mine. I called customer service to see why. The representative told my service was interrupted bc I had an unpaid balance of $30 from December. I'm kind of confuse how I have a 5 month old balance of $30 when my bill is $90 every 3 months. Anyways I paid the balance and asked the representative if she could make sure they came back today to pick up my trash, I also told her I could hear the driver on the next street over still, so I knew he was still in my neighborhood. She led me to believe, it would be taken care of. Well, end of the business I call AGAIN because my trash still hadn't been picked up and the exact answer I got from their representative was that they would try, but if it wasn't picked up by 7 pm that night, I would have to wait until next trash day (an entire week away).I have 3 dumpsters 2, I have bought myself I also rent one from rumpke, all 3 dumpsters are full to the top, because again I am remodeling. Explain to me where I'm supposed to put my trash for an entire week when all 3 of my dumpsters are full? You can't tell me that dispatch can't send someone out when they are in the area.

Rumpke was unwilling to accommodate my needs. I ended up canceling my service through Rumpke and finding a local company who was willing to dispatch a truck to my address the next day to haul my trash away. My suggestion to Rumpke would be to review this policy. Their claim of that if they dispatched a truck to my location outside of the normal route that it would put their driver behind and he wouldn't finish his route is Ludacris. If that's the case, Rumpke should look at giving their Travers some time management training. I know in most instances it would be impossible to reschedule EVERYONE. But to tell a long time customer that they will have to wait an entire week when it was a simple misunderstanding, given the current circumstances with covid-19 exceptions can and should be made. If they cared about customers health and well being they would have realized there was no way a family of four can go a week with every single trash dumpster already full.

Today I pulled a copy of my *** credit report and see that Rumpke has sent my previous account with them to collections via ***. When I closed my account in 2019 my account was paid up and current. I now see that I was sent to collections over $24 not owed. I have attempted to log in to Rumpke's website with my previous account credentials to see where and what I was billed for (I received no service and didn't rent their cans) I also attempted to access the bill via there telephone system, neither method provided any information. Additionally, despite laws that require notification of collection attempts, I have received no notification that a debt was owed, or what it was owed for. This account has been in collections since April 2019 I have received no notification from either the collection agency or Rumpke. This item has been report negatively to all three of my credit report and directly affects my financial status.

Our business and dumpster is overflowing with unsanitary waste. We hired Rumpke to provide us with us a dumpster and empty bi-monthly. In the last two months this company has only emptied the dumpster one time. We have called and pleaded our case and explained our situation with Rumpke to no avail. Our business is overflowing with trash which is creative a hazard which no one should need to deal with. Rumpke's customer service has not been helpful at all, and rude at times. We have been promised for weeks we would get our trashed picked up, and then they would give us additional pick ups for to catch us up. None of these promises came true and everyday the trash situation gets worse.

I've paid for carry out service for my trash and recycling for nearly one year now and can count on one hand the number of times in nearly 53 weeks the number of times it has been picked up without me having to call and say it had not been taken. I started out calling *** directly, and after nearly 8 months of doing that close to every week/every other week, I started calling Rumpke directly. On April 8th I received a return call from the area supervisor saying he would leave a business card and take care of it personally and to call him directly if I had any further problems. The following week, neither trash nor recycling was picked up again. He did not leave the business card as stated but I called his direct line that he had called from and left 3 messages throughout the week. Never received a call back. Once again this past Monday, the trash was collected but not the recycling. The *** sent a message to Rumpke and it STILL has not been collected.
