Have been using RUMPKE for over 15 years. Pay them for 3 months at a time as their contract requires.
For the last few months they are not picking up our trash on Wednesdays as agreed upon in the contract. Each time I call them and they have an excuse every time. A manager called and left a voicemail a few weeks ago and said that he would send someone to pick it up...NEVER happened. Also stated that he would have the driver call him FROM OUR HOUSE WHEN HE PICKED UP THE TRASH so that he could be sure that it was getting done. Tells me they are well aware of the problem.
Yesterday on our scheduled pick up date they did not come again. I called and spoke with a lady that said she was going to contact a driver in my area and have him swing by and pick it up. He did NOT. Today when I get home from work, the trash is still sitting there, soaked. I called again and was told this time that they would get it next week. I am not paying for bi ot tri weekly trash pick up or whenever they feel like it. That is not what we signed up for. I asked for a refund for the past three months as they have caused a great deal of frustration and alot of my time basically pleading with them to fulfill their end of the contract. They refused. I told them I would be contacting the Revdex.com.
In the past when I have called they tell me the driver said the trash was not out, however we put it out the night before and its there when I leave for work in the morning long before they are supposed to arrive and it's there when I return in the afternoon. I've had them go so far as to insinuate that they picked up my trash and possibly a neighbor put their trash there. We live on a dead end road and my husband works from home. Not even a possibility.
I want a refund for the past 3 months. I am paid up until the end of January and want to use a different company. They have not held up their end of the deal and it is getting much worse.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I do understand your frustration and believe that we have made many attempts to identify and correct any issues that you brought forward. We could not service your location this week due to weather and road related conditions. To ensure the safety of our drivers and others on the road, we will make those decisions if they feel that they cannot safely maneuver or service your location. This is what happened this week and I am sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused you.
We hate to lose a long time and loyal customer like yourself, but I recognize and understand your desire to utilize a different provider for your trash collection needs. We will cancel the account as of January 1st, 2018 and refund the month of January. The refund of 26.90 will be processed and mailed back to your address at ***
We will not be able to refund prior service period, as service was performed.
