I've had it removed from two of the credit bureaus the third one is not sure what the deal is and it needs to be removed from that credit bureau.... This is attempted a MoneyGrab for a service I don't need and don't use as I have another property could I have the service with

Mr.’s account with Rumpke was opened on March 29, 2016. The outstanding balance was from a bill generated on April 2018. Rumpke was not notified that Mr.’s no longer needed service at that time.

With this new information available, Rumpke has credited the outstanding balance and has submitted an update to the collection agency to ensure accurate reporting and to avoid future calls and frustration.

In 2012 I switched from *** to Rumpke. At that time I was promised by a Rumpke customer service representative that we would receive a new 96 gallon trash cart at no charge to match the same deal that *** was giving us. Our bill recently increased by approximately $10, so I called on August 12th to find out why. A customer service representative informed me that the increase was because we are now being charged a rental fee for our trash cart. I informed the customer service representative that we were told that we would not be charged for it when we set up the account in order for Rumpke to match the deal that *** was giving us. I was then told that I was misinformed in 2012. I asked to speak to a supervisor, because I felt the original deal I was given should be honored. Apparently the representative that I was speaking with was a supervisor and she told me to send an email to [email protected] with my concerns, which I did. I received the same response via email as I did by phone.

Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms.’s letter. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication on our part and any resulting frustration. It is our hope that we can offer a proper explanation as well as a detailed account of possible solutions moving forward.

Ms. contacted Rumpke in 2012 about matching services and prices with a company called ***. At that time Rumpke agreed to provide matching services at a matching cost. As with any service the cost of performing the service increases over time and during the past seven years Rumpke’s costs have increased as well. Consequently, the initial pricing agreement is no longer valid. We cannot continue to waive cart leasing fees. In fact, Ms.’s free cart lease has already been extended well beyond the standard one-year service match agreement. That said, we understand Ms.’s concerns and want to offer some possible options to best meet the needs of all parties moving forward.

· Rumpke will significantly reduce the cost to purchase her existing cart.
· Rumpke will completely waive the delivery fee on a new Rumpke trash cart.

Ms. is also welcome to purchase her own 35-gallon can(s) and return the Rumpke trash cart.

We greatly appreciate Ms.’s patience as we work toward a resolution. Again, we apologize for any resulting confusion. Please contact me if additional information is necessary.

In order to bring this matter to a close, I feel that Rumpke should waive the amount that they would charge us for our existing waste cart and refund us the rental fees that we have paid thus far. We have been loyal customers for 7 years and some time before that as well. I do not feel that it is unreasonable to ask Rumpke to waive the "significantly reduced cost" and rental fees we have paid in order to honor the deal we were promised in 2012.

We have had service issues since we took possession of the house on 6/1/2019. It took Rumpke almost an entire month to collect the previous owner's trash can (we were told to leave the can out front of house until they picked it up), our trash on a regular basis, and provide a recycling bin as was promised when we signed up. Due to the all the service issues, we were told the first month was going to be credited, and would reflect on the next billing statement. We were encouraged to pay the existing balance of $55.30, which we did on 7/15/2019. We set up auto-pay in the mean time to make our lives easier, which has come to haunt us. I receive an email saying my recurring payment has been remitted for 7/31/2019, totaling $50.89. I look at the bill, which it states I have a previous balance of $55.30, was credited $2.94 for the missed recycling service, charged $7.50 for start service (which actually started on 6/1/2019), and an adjustment (credit) of $8.97 for the month of June service.

Rumpke’s garbage truck was throwing small metal fragments across the freeway causing over $500 of damage to my car. Despite photographic evidence of this (including photos of their truck and damage to my car), Rumpke refused to accept liability.

Rumpke does not reliably empty my recycle dumpster. I have to call in to get this done. I have had to do this twice in the past month. I have to find time to be able to call them while at work as to do it during their business hours. I was told once that I could call in after-hours, leave a message, and they would take care of it. That did not work as either nobody bothered to listen to the message or they did nothing with the request.

I cancelled my trash collection service with Rumpke at the beginning of May. They owe me a refund of $79.02. They sent me an email on May 14 showing a credit of $79.02 but have not refunded this. First they said they'd have to check on how to process this. Then they said they sent it on to corporate and it would come from them. Then a week ago they said they would contact corporate again and I would definitely have my money by the end of last week. Still no money. I have always initiated contact, have never received any calls of explanation from them.

Rumpke habitually skipped our dumpster for regular service for many months just this year. They sporadically skipped our dumpster for regular service for the previous years also. To be fair, they almost always came in the next couple days after we called to complain. There were a few times that they didn't come after we complained and they still charged us. We shouldn't have to call for service and they often performed our two weekly pickups very close together during these situations. We can't do business like that and informed them that Rumpke has defaulted on the contract. They agreed on July 24 and informed us they will be removing the dumpster by today, August 1. The dumpster is still here and after speaking with them today, they just informed me that now there is a delay on removing the dumpster. No new pickup date or time has been established, according to the customer service person on the phone. I have contracted a different, reliable alternative who delivered their dumpster but couldn't use the proper spot because Rumpke's dumpster is still here. The only other place to put that new dumpster is in a rented parking spot that I will have to pay for. So now I've got two dumpster's I'm paying for and a parking spot I'm paying for all because Rumpke can't keep it's end of the contract. This is not good. Rumpke admitted to me that they severely messed up, for many months. They offered me discounts and credits if I would give them another chance, which I did not.

I signed up for trash service from Rumpke starting 06/23/2019. I was advised that in 2 weeks I would have a new,clean receptacle for my trash. I have received my statement requesting payment of service due and payment due by 07/31/2019 for service dates 06/23 - 10/01. I have placed 3 phone calls to their customer service reps and been advised that they can't tell me when I will get my trash can. I requested a call back from a supervisor 2 days ago and I am still waiting? I live in a condominium complex and the majority of the residence utilize their service. If I can get a trash can I would be most appreciative.

I lived at ***, *** ohio for 8 years, we moved out and called this company and told them that our last pick up would be on 7/12/2019.We have told them we had a large amount of trash the trash has been picked up in the past where we have had larger amounts. We have everything bagged up and on the corner on time including a couch. At the time of calling and canceling service after the above date (phone call was made) 2 weeks prior to last date of service. They informed us at the time of the call that the couch had to be wrapped in plastic. To which we informed them it was. 7/12/2019. came and the trash men missed our whole street. Starting the following monday we called everyday to remind them that the trash has not been picked up. They kept informing us that the people have been dispatched to the location and will pick up. We had informed them that we turned in the keys to the property on 7/15/2019 and were concerned that the property owners would try to charge us for the trash removal. it is now 7/18/2019. Calling the company this morning to inform them the trash was still not picked up from the previous week. They informed us that we no longer had service and they were not picking up the couch anyway because we did not give 24 hour notice that a couch was there. Which in reality we gave them 6 days notice. The woman answering the phone was rude and short with my husband. While I understand that they were tired of hearing from us everyday, They needed to do what we paid them to do. It was their fault that the trash was not picked up on our street as their men on the trucks missed the entire street the week ending on 7/12/2019. I would also like to mention. When in the past we have had large amount of pick ups, we have given the guys extra tips for picking up the stuff as a sign of good faith including the week before I gave the man on the back of the truck $50 in cash and informed him we would have one more the next week. I waited most of the day and they didn't show, I had more tip for them because I know I had a lot.

Our garbage day for pickup is on Thursdays, so on Thursday July 11, 2019 Rumpke did not pick up our garbage. It was a furniture truck in front of our house around 11:30 am, so I guess they didn't wait on the truck to move so they left. Around 11:40 am, I noticed that the garbage was still there. I called Rumpke as soon as I saw that the garbage was still out there. They told me that they would put in a call to have them pick it up. She said to call back if it's not picked up at the end of the day. At the end of the day, it wasn't picked up. So the next day came and it was still not picked up. I called again and a lady told me that it will be picked up within 24-48 hours so it will be picked up on Monday. Monday, July 15th I called around 8 am and asked would the garbage be picked up because it is overflowing and the animals keep getting in it making a mess. She told me yes it would be picked up. Around 4:30ish I noticed that the trash was still out there. I was furious. I then called again and asked why wasn't it picked up. She apologized and said that she will put in another call to the dispatch supervisor and that she don't know when it will be picked up. I hung up. Tuesday morning came and the garbage is still there. I called Rumpke again and asked will it be picked up. She told me the same thing about sending a message to the dispatch supervisor. Around 9:45am, my husband called me and told me that they were picking it up. I am very upset about this because we pay for this service and they acted like it was nothing to them.

Upon receiving this complaint, we conducted an internal investigation to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

As Mr. indicated the stop was not serviced on July 11, 2019 because a furniture truck was blocking the trash. However, after receiving notification of the miss, we should have fulfilled our commitment to service the stop later that day. The trash was collected on July 16 and we have addressed the issue with our team to prevent future problems. We have issued a credit for one month of service to Mr..

In May, I ordered a dumpster from Rumpke to clean out a rental property. They failed to deliver and did not notify me in advance. I only became aware of the failure when visiting the property. Upon calling, the dispatcher was unaware of the nondelivery. She was able to verify the drivers felt unable to deliver the dumpster but for some reason had not told anyone. I was promised a full refund with 10 business days. After 14 days, I received a partial refund. I have sent several emails to Rumpke and left a voicemail asking about the remainder of the refund but they have not responded to any of my communications.

Fail to deliver services as scheduled

Rumpke is billing me $75 for recycle bin that THEY SAY could not be retrieved. I sold my house on May 21, and put the trash and recycle for last collection on May 23. They told me leave the empty cans visible and they will pick it up. I asked the new owner to leave them by the mail box. The carts were sitting by the mail box till May 31 (I have picture which I emailed to myself). On June 2, the carts were gone. After I received the final bill, they have charged me $75 because they could not retrieve the recycle bin as indicated by Jennifer 10 days ago. Yesterday their supervisor Roseann tells me they have not retrieved both recycle and trash carts/bins. Jennifer tells me trash bin was retrieved 10 days ago and now Roseann tells me different story. My question is, why did they not pick up the carts sitting by the mail box between May 23 and May 31st? If they sit there for 8 days, anything can happen. Plus, per Jennifer they retrieved the trash bin and per my picture on May 31st, both were sitting there. Hard to believe somebody stole only one bin and left the other. Rumpke needs to show me where they indicate that it will take more than 8 days to collect the bins. At this time, I am unwilling to pay for the recycle bin.

A person that emptied the garbage broke my can lid to a point were it is hanging off. I keep getting the run around to have it replaced. It has been 30 days since ive first reported the problem and I tried to talk to supervisor over this issue and they keep turning me away. ive contacted them several times with no replacement. I have arm problems and cant close lid

They did not pick up for a month and charged us. I called one week and they said they would be there that night, they did not show up. called again and they dispatched and got it done that time. The manager called and then proceeded to tell me they had driver taken a picture of it empty 2 days prior to me calling? I wouldn't call if it was empty. That was a Thursday and we were scheduled for Tuesday. I have video cameras, I know the exact time and day. I know there is GPS on those trucks and if they simply apologized and refunded our month of non service, it would not be a big deal. After getting the call from the manager (he blamed me, he said I should call, if they want me to supervise their employees they need to hire me) I also after that insulting call, I emailed a complaint to them, it has gone unanswered.

Rumpkes trash pick up has been unreliable. I have been struggling with there service personnel and management to resolve this issue. My trash has waited up to 4 weeks before getting picked up. I have a trash can replacement order that has taken 2 weeks and is still waiting to be replaced, which leaves me with more trash that’s not being taken away.

Forgot to pay our bill one time discovered this when we found out our trash was not picked up. Was not notified that the trash Would not be picked up just found out that we had trash that was going to sit there and stack up until we pay the bill. Apparently they leave customers with unsanitary conditions and don’t mind one bit and don’t have the decency to simply send a letter stating your bills late will pick it up this time but make sure if you do not pay the bill your pick up will not be performing next week. By far the sorriest company I’ve ever seen in my life

On approximately 02/22/19 I paid Rumpke for Residential Trash and Residential Recycling services at my home. The bill covered the three month period of March, April, and May. Because I no longer live in *** I contacted Rumpke and cancelled my service effective Aril 14. I was told at that time I should see a refund for the month and a half of cancelled service. On April 18 I contacted Rumpke because I became aware that they still had me on Automatic Debit (Bill Payment) even though I had cancelled my service. I was assured the refund was in process. I called again on May 7 and was again assured the refund would be deposited into my account where the automatic debits had occurred. It is now seven weeks later and I have seen no refund.

Mr.’s account was canceled with Rumpke on April 16, 2019. The refund was pending until the recycling bin was removed from his property. I am happy to confirm that Rumpke is mailing a $31.81 refund to Mr.’s new address-***. Mr. should receive the refund within 7 business days. Unfortunately, we cannot issue the credit directly to his bank account because we are only the authorized to debit the account.

We hope this explanation offers a bit of clarity. We sincerely appreciate Mr.’s patience with us as we worked to resolve this issue. Please contact me if additional information is necessary.

Rumpke has extremely poor communications both with customers and between their internal departments. They have missed many trash & recycle pickups at my address. They have also repeatedly left my trash and recycle containers in the middle of my driveway, blocking access from the rural road and forcing me to park at a neighbors driveway and walk to my own driveway to remove the cans. I have almost been rear ended by cars thinking I was pulling into my driveway when instead I had to stop due to the cans blocking my access. I have called more times than I can count to ask why they took everyone the trash of everyone else but drove right by my house without stopping. I've had many weeks like this one where they didn't pick up trash on Friday so I called multiple times through the week where they promise to come back in a day or two... But they do not show up at all, leaving me with more trash than will fit in the container. I was able months ago to get through to a supervisor over the entire program. He called and seemed genuinely concerned and for a short while after talking with him, Rumpke took my garbage regularly. However they still could not be bothered to leave the driveway unblocked and would leave the cans standing in the middle or lying on their side or even in the ditch. I called that supervisor multiple times this week and left messages but never heard back. I also left messages with the "Missed Trash Pickup" folks and, as always, promises were made and broken. I have made so many calls that I feel I should be receiving a salary. What I hear is the same thing... "We're sorry" and "Someone will be out in a day or two", "It is MY responsibility to call when they don't take my trash or recycle and they cannot put a proactive plan in place to alleviate this need".... I do not believe they want to fix this problems. If this does not change, I will petition the city not to contract with this company in the future or I will campaign to elect different officials to make better decisions on our behalf. The problem is ongoing and with I continually see people saying they say they will fix the issues but continue to miss trash pickups. I'm not sure how they can achieve anything besides an F rating, unless they choose to fix issues only raised on the Revdex.com website and leave those who contact them directly out to dry. Their actions have cause me to be put in direct danger of being hit by traffic travelling at 45 mph or more. That, by itself, goes beyond poor service! The have poor customer communications, broken promises and weeks without service. I have not heard any concern from Rumpke employees I've spoken to for my well being when they hear of my driveway being blocked and almost being hit by cars as I try to pull into my driveway but am forced at the last second to drive further up the road to a neighbors driveway until I can clear a path for my car by hand. I have not seen any action on their part to curb the behavior of blocking my driveway. It is unfortunate that my complaints fall on deaf ears.

Leaving garbage out in the sun beside a busy road is indeed a health issue, among other things. I’ve been signed up for Rumpke’s trash pick up service since February. I’ve been missed more than 6 times since my service was supposedly started. I’ve have had to call and wait an additional day each time my trash is missed. I rent the company owned trash hauler, so there should be no excuses like they didn’t see it or it was not an approved trash container. Since I live at the intersection of the road all the local trucks take to get to Miami County’s transfer station, up would think one of those trucks could manage to pick up my garbage every week! I pay my bill the day I get it and have my garbage out BEFORE dark the night before. I’m tired of paying for a service i’m Not getting! Getting a credit for a missed week or weeks is NOT Ok! I want my garbage picked up like everyone else on this route!

Rumpke’s District Manager visited Ms.’ property on Thursday to get a clear understanding of the property layout, and a better understanding of the issues that may be causing confusion. He took some pictures of the cart location at the time and the surrounding driveway area. During the visit, the Rumpke trash cart was near the wood fence at the front of Ms.’ property. Unfortunately, this presents a problem because the cart is located too far from the road to complete collection.

In this service area, Rumpke uses a mechanical arm truck to pick up each trash cart and tip the contents into the truck. This form of automated service is used to keep drivers safe from on-coming traffic and physical injuries associated with lifting and entering and exiting the truck. At the same time, automated service keeps routing efficient and cost effective for the customer. However, for the service to work, the trash cart must be placed 3 ft. away from other objects such as mail boxes, recycling containers, fencing, cars, trees, road signs, etc. In this instance, Ms.’ should place the cart where Rumpke currently leaves it after service, closer to the road and away from other obstacles.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. On the Thursday in question that trash container was a good 4feet from my fence because I had moved it not once but TWICE since I had to mow. If this person really took pictures, it’s news to me since I was here all day except for about an hour when I was getting my hair cut. When I got home the trash had been emptied, but I could not tell since the can was in the same spot as when I left. It wasn’t until it blew over into the roadway and cars had to come to a screeching halt to avoid it that I realized it had been emptied. Also, if this person did take pictures, then where exactly does he propose I put the trash hauler? I tried to explain my situation to a Renee F and she just referred me back to customer service. In addition, none of this is a reason why my garbage is now being missed weekly! Most of the winter it was collected ok, trash haulers in the same place, but lately everything is an excuse for Rumpke not to pick up my trash on the scheduled day. All I’m asking is that the trash be picked up as scheduled, like everyone else seems to have. I am tired of having to call weekly, and having every excuse under the sun as their reason why it was not picked up. Once the driver even lied and said my trash was not out when he went by and yet I have it out BEFORE nightfall the day BEFORE the scheduled pick up. I don’t take pictures of my trash every week, but I do have neighbors that will attest to the fact that it is always out there Monday evening and that it's only been lately that it’s been missed EVERY WEEK!

According to our records, Ms.’ is correct, her trash was serviced on Tuesday, June 18 at 7:30 am. Moving forward we will make every effort necessary to collect the trash on schedule, without interruption.

As we prepare for continued collection, it is vital for Ms. place her cart 3 ft. away from other objects such as mail boxes, fences, recycling containers, cars, trees, road signs, etc. This will allow the truck’s mechanical arm to reach her container, while ensuring the safety of our driver.

We want to make Ms.’ experience with Rumpke is a positive one. Again, we apologize for this back and forth and extra frustration. That is certainly not our intention.
