When I signed up for service od trash collection my bill was $28 just like they said it would be. All of a sudden my bill changed to $48 a month without no notice at all. I called but no one would say anything as to why I am beimg charged $20 more especially when my trash only gets picked up maybe twice a month if lucky. I told the lady that I wasn't paying $48 a month that is outrageous and they can stop my service but instead kept it going for months. Customer service is extremely rude everytime I have had to call. My neighbors don't even pay that high of a bill for their trash service and they got same as me with an extra trash can. If my bill was what it was suppose to be which is $28 I was told I wouls have no problem paying it and keeping my service as long as I am not getting price gouged again. . You can't raise peoples stuff without proper notice and a good reason.

My traah service is picked up at the curb by my house just same as my neighbors but they pay less. I shouldn't have to put my trash on a *** road curb thats a mile away from me. I was given a price and never informed in writing it was changing or going up. I will leave my trash on my curb of my property for $15.95 a month not on *** road. Which helped your driver because its easier to turn around on my property then my neighbors.

I received a letter dated 4/6/20 from *** regarding an alleged past due amount of $21.44 on my Rumpke account. I closed the account in early February because I moved. In late January/early February, I called Rumpke's customer service line to close my account and they told me since I have been paying my bill by autopay, the final amount due would be auto-deducted and there was nothing further I needed to do. That didn't happen, of course. When I called Rumpke's customer service on 4/15/20 to ask about the collections letter, I was told that my account information was deleted from my account, and that explains why the last payment was not deducted. So there was an error with their billing system. This problem was not mine, and I am very unhappy that they have sent this to collections when they should have automatically deducted this payment. So, I tried to pay the bill online today, but couldn't because they deleted my profile. So I tried to pay by phone with their customer service representative, but was told I would incur a $2.95 fee to pay by phone. So they want to penalize me FURTHER for THEIR mistake? Ridiculous. So I sent the payment by check/snail mail today 4/15/20.

More importantly, I want to make sure that Rumpke and/or *** REMOVES this past due amount from my credit report, if it has been reported. This was a mistake on Rumpke's part and my credit report should not be impacted by their mistake.

Dear Ms.,

Thank you for the opportunity to review concerns presented by Mr.. First and foremost, we apologize for any frustration and confusion that has resulted.

Mr. is correct, the balance of $21.44 and we have cleared this with agency that was involved in the collection of this balance. This has also been communicated to the credit agency

and should not appear as an outstanding debt for reporting with the agencies.

We understand this may have created some frustration for Mr. and we hope the actions taken today will help clear that up.

Should you have any additional questions, please let me know.

A Rumpke Waste removal truck hit my parked car, and they said if I got an estimate they would pay for the damages. Since submitting the estimate to the loss control department they have evaded communication and given the feeling that they are trying anyway possible to get out of paying for the damages their driver has done to my property, I have a email trail from one of the loss control coordinators that stopped responding to me weeks ago, after submitting the estimate. I have had to pay to fix my car myself which has put a financial burden on me because they are not handling the problem properly. This couldn't have happend at a worse time because I cannot work now due to the Covid-19 virus lock down and I need to hold onto what money I have.

Dear Revdex.com,

We deeply regret this situation and apologize that it has gotten this far. The problem was internal communication on our end, completely our fault. Our office manager has reached out to Mr.. He is re-sending the repair estimate to us. We cut checks twice a week and have assured him that his check will be printed on the first run this week. He should have our check by the end of this week. Mr *** accepted our apology and seems satisfied with our response to him this morning.

Thank you Revdex.com for being the conduit that allows another conduit for the customer to reach out to us, especially in times such as this.

Sincerely,

This company is a complete joke. The area I live in switched contracts and I was never notified. Suddenly my trashcan was gone. After multiple calls between the previous company and rumpke I finally discovered I was forced to go through rumpke. I called to have a can brought to me. It took over two weeks to get my trash service sorted out. Then a few months go by and my can is taken again. I call multiple times to figure out what the issue is and eventually discover that after I made an account, rumkpe made an account on my behalf too. And the account they created wasnt paid. It took months to sort out and even though I requested to use the account I created because it was always paid, they made me switch to the account they created. About a week ago I received a second trash can. Then today both of my cans are picked up again. I just paid three months up a week ago. My bill had always been paid in full on time yet my can keeps being taken. Absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with!

Rumpke service in Tiffin, Ohio is dismal. They fail to pick up trash and recycling on their scheduled date and when you call about the problem you are asked to wait and call back at 6:00 P.M. if there is still no pickup. Interestingly they close at 5:00 P.M. so exactly who are you supposed to talk to?
Today they failed to pick up any recycling on the entire south side of our street. Apparently the driver couldn't see that there were totes on BOTH sides of the street. In the recent past I had to call every day, for a solid week, before Rumpke would bother to complete their contracted (and paid for) trash pickup.

Even after paying my bill electronically they sent my bill to collection. They threaten to send a bad report to the credited agency. I am assuming that since I did not pay them to take my payment on top of the bill they are not happy. I also canceled this service shortly after starting because I did not need the service and just like this error they conveniently can't find a record of it. They received payment by Feb 07,2020 but yet sent me to collection.

Had the worst driver ever this mourning. He was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with. He was just the worst. I have called the company but dont feel like any justice was done. He is not welcome at our house ever even to pick up our trash. I have delt with this all day.

There charging me for 3 months that they didn't pick trash up because I had moved and didn't tell them, I'm paying them for doing nothing, when I did live at my previous address they hardly picked my trash up and the customer service is horrible, there rude and seem to never know what's going on, I recommend that NO ONE gets service through them, I will drive my trash to the county waste and recycling for now on.

They changed the trash pickup policy without properly informing customers about the change. A large number of customers did what they usually did without any information from Rumpke about the change, instead of properly informing us they just left weeks old trash at the curb with no explanation.

I have never had trash service with Rumpke recycling at any time in my life. I have not had service with them through the Medora location or any location. Yet I have received a bill in the mail from them, with my name and with an account number affixed to it. I went through a divorce, which was final, in June of 2019. Prior to my divorce, I had lived at ***, with my husband, (now my ex-husband), since 2013. We never had service with Rumpke at that address. He worked for a company who allowed him to take trash to their property. Prior to the final date of my divorce and a short time afterward, I stayed at my daughter’s home, who lives less than a mile, from where I moved to, after my divorce was final. She has a house address of *** and my house address is now ***, where I live with my other daughter. The home is not in my name. I simply live with my daughter. After I moved in to her home, which she purchased after my divorce was final, but which she had possession of, prior to purchasing it; I received a bill from Rumpke. However, the bill had come from my old address of ***. I had made an address change, so this bill did not first go to my old address, where my ex-husband would have put it back in the box, as the post office forwards your mail from your old address, for up to a year. I received a total of 3 bills from Rumpke. After the second one I called RUMPKE at the location I thought was nearest to me at: ***, for an explanation, on 12/30/2019, as I had never signed any contract with them for service, in my life. I spoke with a lady, whose name I do not recall. She informed me that they had audited the trash at my daughter’s address, who lives at *** and found some of my mail in her trash, from my old address, *** I told the lady I felt like that was an invasion of privacy, but she assured me they had the right to go through trash. I explained to the lady that some of my mail may have been thrown into her trash during the short time I stayed there. Even if I had not stayed there, the possibility of a parent’s mail being thrown into their child’s trash is a possibility. The lady I spoke with informed me that I had been leaving my trash at the address at *** I informed her that I had never left a bag of my trash at that address and that I did not like being accused of something untrue. I still dispose of my trash in the same place I did prior to my divorce. I am a senior citizen and disabled and had to undergo heart surgery, including a heart stent, a little over year ago and I feel this added stress is uncalled for. The lady informed me that she would do away with the account but that I needed to stop leaving my trash at the *** address. I informed her again, in no pleasant tone that I had never done so. I received another bill after this, even though I was assured the account would be done away with. I called back and spoke with a gentlemen, on 01/17/2020. He was very rude when I explained again the situation of never having service with them and that I had never left my trash at the address of *** He kept arguing and bickering and saying that it didn’t matter if I intentionally or unintentionally threw a piece of my mail, in my daughter’s trash, or if someone else did, that it gave them a right to bill me. I told him that what they were doing was not legal because I had never signed any contract for service with them. He said oh yes it is legal. I told him if I received another bill I would speak with an attorney and I then hung up the phone.

Rumpke has for four weeks refused to take our trash without explanation. We called them and they said they would deal with it. After the third week of them not taking it out, I setup a camera and recorded what was happening. They didn't even LOOK at our trash (I have this on video and high quality) while taking out others nearby. They've done this many other times and we pay them an annual fee.

Noticed my trash hadn’t been collected after service truck came through my neighborhood. Contacted Rumpke and spoke with a “customer service” agent who from the start had a very combative disposition. Engaged in conversation and explained I had a missed pickup, agent wasn’t interested in resolving the issue. Agent stated a flat out refusal to have the truck come back by my home for trash pickup.

I am thoroughly dissatisfied and disappointed in my first interaction with Rumpke. As a paying resident, the lack of customer service and refusal is absurd. Once I realized the conversation wasn’t going anywhere, I asked to speak to a manager; of which the agent stated she would have to put in a “service request” as there were none available - are you kidding me?

I purchased a property that needed trash removal, and I contacted your office for a dumpster in May of last year. Unfortunately, I did not have the room to get the smallest construction dumpster you offered, so I agreed to sign a 1 year contract on a small dumpster.

The dumpster was delivered and placed at the end of the ‘driveway’, although this was a ruff dirt driveway at best at the time. There were no issues with this dumpster and the drivers at that time, and for the next few months before the driveway was excavated.

I hired a contractor to come in and put in the driveway, and planned on having my cabin moved to this property shortly after (within weeks). When the moving company picked up the cabin, and moved it to this location, we arrived to find that the dumpster had been moved from the end of the driveway, to the top of the driveway and was blocking the pathway for the building to be moved onto the foundation. I called the local rumpke office, and waited on hold 15-20 minutes before getting a voicemail. I was very angry at this time, and it was obvious by the message. We managed to manhandle the dumpster out of the way, and several days past without a call back.

I called again to the office, this time more calm, and eventually spoke with someone. She was very defensive about the change in location, and told me it was noted, that the driver was putting ruts in the yard with its current location. I told her that where the dumpster was located would block the path to use the full driveway, but I would agree to have the dumpster put to the left side at the back of the driveway. She scheduled the truck to move it to that location.

Before the truck arrived, I cut the limbs from the tree, as high as 20 feet so that the drivers would have no obstructions. The movers arrived and the dumpster was moved.

This fall, I spoke with the drivers that empty the dumpster, and they informed me that the dumpster was not tall enough to ‘hook’ it, so they had to manually lift the dumpster by hand, and that was a problem with the grade, where the dumpster currently sits. The driver was very respectful and understanding of all that had happened, and we discussed your office finding a fix, or me modifying the dumpster to make this easier on the drivers.

Later that day, I received a call from someone at the local office, saying that they would modify another dumpster, and bring it out to correct the height issue. That was in the fall, and nothing has been done.

Soon after this, I noticed a rut beside the driveway. There had been allot of leaves that had fell, and I understood the driver missing the driveway, but I wanted to avoid this problem.

I called the local office again to see about terminating the dumpster and switching to residential services, and was told I was in contract, and would be charged a large fee. I was then sent to the sales department and spoke with a gentleman, that said they would probably be able to change the service to 2 rolling trash cans, on a weekly basis, and this would be the same size as the dumpster pick up bi weekly, and ride out the contract that way. I told him that would be a perfect solution, and he then told me only my sales lady could make that modification, but she was on the phone, and would have to call me back. I received no returned call.

I come home from work after the last pick up and notice more ruts, and a tree limb wedged under the dumpster, that is now half way into the area of the driveway meant for parking.

I am now going to have to have the driveway repaired from the extensive damage caused by this dumpster, when I was told that it was moved in the first place because of this exact problem.

I am requesting to terminate this service, and pay only for the services I have used.

I would have liked to transfer this to residential trash pickup, but the lack of concern, and rude attitude of my local office have convinced me that I will never get even acceptable service from this company.

I also called in today January 14, and put in a Cincinnati zip code to attempt to just get your email address, and was told to speak with your secretary. After waiting on hold for about 5 minutes, I heard voices as if someone picked up the phone, and then heard a voicemail where I left a message. I only wanted an email address.

I have used Rumpke Residential Waste Removal Services at 3 different locations in the last 40 years. When I moved to my current location initially I could put out boxes of unwanted items & trash along with my 2 Dumpster Type Trash cans rented from them which I pay Rumpke extra for with no problem in having them pick up these items. Also at my last residence for 9 years no matter what I put out the Rumpke trash crew picked it up & disposed of it in return for quarterly fees I pay them. In the last 6 months I have had trash put in boxes & usually taped so they dont break- put out in my trash & the crew does not take it. I am elderly & disabled & have no one to assist me in my weekly trash haul to the street. If Rumpke doesnt take this trash I have to (usually) drag it back to my garage & fit it (smelly and old) into my dumpster trash cans. My complain is that I have called Rumpke & had a representative tell me all I have to do is call ahead & warn that I will have boxes to pick up. I did this today in prep for pick up & this Rumpke Rep. told me NO We do not take anything outside of the trash cans! Also told me the Rep. that claimed a call will ensure pick up of extra trash was wrong & this Representative was rude to me on the phone. Very uncaring, not polite, seemed bothered to discuss the issue. Also in August of last year 2019 I folded & fit cardboard & other refuse into a $40. Sterilite Cart I HAD & wheeled my cart that was visibly marked with DO NO TAKE DO NOT THROW AWAY CART ETC to the street which I had done every week for 12 months prior & that week they took the entire cart! I called them & the Rep. that time said someone must have stole the cart. IT WAS NOT stolen I watched the Rumpke truck pull up I didnt watch to see them throw my cart away BUT it was there when they pulled up! AND GONE when they did pull away. THEY had to have taken it & discarded it into their truck!
THE REAL issue I have with Rumpke is when I received my bill there was no warning of these sudden changes in service.

we have been unable to reach her. With this in mind, we have emailed her Rumpke’s service
guidelines to offer some clarification of our service requirements.

We appreciate Ms.’s patience in this matter, and we look forward to providing service for years to come. Please contact me if additional information is necessary.

Sincerely,

Jan K

ell us why here...

This is absolutely the worst company ever. Yes I let my bill go because we are still trying to recover from my husband having cancer. Of course this company find a excuse not to get trash they will. However so we haven’t paid the bill so therefore they have no reason being on our property right. Thank God for cameras. So not only they on our property one of there employees come running up our driveway between our two cars then in front of one of our cars to see then we have a porch camera to take off running thank god he seen the camera no telling what he was out to do. Called this awesome company lol to be put into voice mail left a message called again to find out why and report to be told they will call back 2 days later 4 calls later does this company care nope not at all.

Dear Ms. Beck,

Thank you for the opportunity to address Ms.’s concerns. First and foremost, we understand and apologize for the frustration over this issue. We are also very sorry to learn about Ms.’s current situation and her husband’s recent diagnosis. We know such life altering news can make an impact and we want to help by at least resolving this one issue.

With this in mind, we reached out to Ms. and obtained the video of the incident she described in her complaint. This allowed us to conduct a thorough investigation and share our findings with Ms.. It turns out, our driver was attempting to find the trash carts to ensure complete collection. We reviewed Ms.’s account with her and have attempted to resolve the issue.

We value Ms. as a customer, and we appreciate her patience and cooperation as we worked through these issues. Please feel free to reach out to me if additional information is needed.

Sincerely,

Carolyn M

I truly don’t believe that. The reason being and seen in the video our trash cans was at the curb and wasn’t touched or picked up. Which I am not fussing cause of the past due balance. But still in all 2 trash cans was at the curb ignored and still no reason to go between our cars and looking at our front door.

Problem: Rumpke is getting to be the worst of the worst companies. 2 weeks ago after supervisors refusing to return my call or coming to the phone. I had to make a complaint. That they had there drivers running up my driveway and around my cars. The awesome lie they was looking for my trash can. That was sitting at the curb. Which they refused to pick up over a payment. Now 2 weeks later make the payment on Saturday u guessed it they refused to pick up my cans again. Cause I made a payment on a Saturday. Got news for them Saturday or Monday Thur Friday payment is still made. Now with all the problems called at 8 am when they opened and good old rude nasty employees transferred 4 times and now going to charge me a 25 fee to return a truck to pick up my trash. As Ashlee called about the driver she said she was in on that Saturday if I made the payment. Now a week later she wants me to be charged because on that Saturday my father went into the hospital and didn’t get a chance to make it so again this loving company wants me to pay for them not having there act together when a payment is made regardless if it was even on a Sunday services should automatically resume.TranslateDesired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution: Billing AdjustmentDesired Outcome: Not paying a 25 fee as told to Ashlee for a return truck I want a month of service free plus the 25 on my account for the stress

Complaint number ***Dear Ms. Beck,Thank
you for the opportunity to address Ms.’s concerns. Customer service is very important to us. Rumpke has reviewed Ms.
***’s account in detail multiple times. We’ve also engaged in several
conversations with her, all in an effort to best understand her circumstances
and work with her to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution. According to our records,
Ms.’s payment was pending on Saturday, January 25, 2020, but was not
scheduled to post to her Rumpke account until Monday, January 27, 2020. Ms.
*** did not receive Rumpke service on her normal collection day, because we
did not have record of receipt for payment due.Ms. registered for
Rumpke’s online billing and payment processing, therefore all her account
information as well as payment due dates are available 24-7online. Unfortunately,
full payment was not received in time to resume her service which typically
occurs on Mondays.Ms. contacted us on
Monday, January 27, 2020 at 8:08 am to inform us that her trash was not serviced
that morning. At Ms.’s request and agreement, we returned the same day
and removed 8 hoppers of trash from the curb, which far exceeds the allowable
limits for standard pickup. The standard fee for a return stop is $25 in
addition any hopper greater than one is usually $10 per hopper. However, we waived all extra fees associated
with the volume of trash collected at Ms.’s stop and only charged the
agreed upon $25 fee.Ms., like all of
our customers is important to us. At no time, do we want to leave a customer dissatisfied.
Given all the circumstances, we stand by our pricing for services rendered. Despite
it all we understand that Ms. has experienced some inconvenience and we
are sorry. With this in mind, we have:Waived
fees typically charged for excess trash (an extra 7 hoppers) at the curb. Please feel free to reach

This is the lying ness company I’ve ever met. There was 3 cans and 3 bags out but I see now also I’ll start taking pictures and it’s time to get a lawyer with this company. There driver in our driveway between our cars. Lie a pond lies. Thank you Revdex.com I’ll take this farther. For the lies and false allegations and discrimination.

Recently, I had to cancel Rumpke's service after 10 years of use. I'm 100% sure that I bought my trash container when I initiated the service, because I never rent anything in my life when I have a choice to buy it. I even remember I paid 60+ bucks for the container. However, Rumpke took back my trash container. When I tried to remind them that I bought and hence own the container, they asked me to show them the original receipt. Who would keep a receipt from 10 years ago? Now they said that I rented the container. So, I not only paid for the cost of the container, buy also have been charged for the rental fee for the past 10 years without my knowledge?!

Rumpke was to pick up a red recycling container at my residence. They asked that I put in a prominent location. I put in front of my fence so it could be observed from the street. They never picked it up and charged me for it. Their customer service rep lied to me. I paid the bill but I am not happy about it. Poor service is what you get from a monopoly.

Dear Ms.

Thank you for the opportunity to address Mr.’ concerns. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for his undo frustration.

Our team attempted to remove the recycling bin from Mr.’ property on October 24, 2019, after he notified us he was moving. We were unsuccessful with recovering the container and added a purchase charge to his account of $10.71.

Mr. indicated in his correspondence with the Revdex.com that he has paid his Rumpke invoice. As soon as the payment is processed, we will issue him a refund for $10.71.

If Mr. has additional questions, he can reach me at .

Problem resolved. Phone customer service staff and field staff executing "promised" pick ups should work together more closely to prevent similar problems in the future.
