Hello To All, I was a customer of SHS in my previous address. I moved residences half way through my 3 year contract and was willing to take the service with me to my new address, I was informed that their provider of choice did not offer service to my new area. Therefore, they would not be willing to set up service but I was still obligated to pay the Monthly Fee for the remained of my contract. I was Livid. I hired a Lawyer who had brief communication with them until the harassing calls and letters stopped. I thought issue was solved.....not a chance....just woke up the other day to a credit warning stating I have gone down due to a collection put out against my name. It seems they waited for my contract to expire and now they are sending a collector after me. PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, they are thieves.

If Safe Home Security would have kept their promise to come out and test my system; I would not have gone with another company.  I waited over two months for them to test my system; I call numerous times; I got the same reply each time; we will send out a rep but they did not.

I am rejecting this response because: This business is not right after I found out they automatically put me in another year contract my husband called and talk to the billing office and she told him that she would call me back to cancel it or try to work something out well she called me and kept trying to influence me to stay after I had already repeatedly stated I just wanted to cancel she wanted to know what I was interested in doing I stated getting a camera system but with another company she went on and on until she figured I wouldn't change my mind and then told me I couldn't get out of the contract for another year and if I tried taking legal actions it wouldn't matter cause I wouldn't win because it's in contract so I asked if my contract was up and you all knew I would automatically be resigned in a contract why didn't y'all state this when you first call to tell me about renewal of my contract she stated that wasn't her job to warn me about 60 day prior cancellation it was mine this company is very unprofessional and I want out but after the back and forth with them and unprofessional employees I haven't answerd any calls from them am just waiting this unauthorized prolonged contract out if need be because I don't trust that they'll actually cancel it without trying to attach to my credit report so there for I'll send in my cancellation email this week and wait out the time to ensure that doesn't happen and never make this mistake of signing any contract with this company or any other company without being aware of the fine print clauses I've been a faithful customer and have never missed one payment in 3 years and unless they can provide me something in writing stating its cancelled with no penalty I'll just wait it out there not trustworthy in my opinion.

This is an absolutely INCOMPETENT business! I have had an account for 7 years and not only had a technician call to tell me he couldn't show up at the last minute, after I had taken vacation to be there. Then a second time, I CALLED to confirm the install. To my surprise (not really), there was no install scheduled. To add to the insult, they actually talked me into upgrading my contract from 34.95 to 54.95 and waived me for one month. They ALSO did not inform me of my options. I was told that this was a 5 year contract. I was NOT told that this could be a 3 OR 5 year contract. Then I was billed the first month after being promised a waiver of the first month. This company does nothing but lie and generate a bill. DO NOT sign a contract with this company. I have seen absolutely no proof that they do anything except automatically bill your account. You will not receive phone calls or invoices, and you WILL be automatically renewed at the end of your contract if you do not call them to cancel it. They do absolutely NOTHING to protect you.

The representatives and managers are dishonest. They don't adhere to verbal agreements. I was promised 5 free months of monitoring service with recert of contract and was told there was no contract. Then the manger. ..mr.R agreed to honor the contract with bringing the account current, which I did but mr.R was not a man of his word. Now they have a collection agency harassing me.

I am rejecting this response because: My 80 year old Elderly, handicapped Mother was taken advantage of by buying this Home Security Device, as she did not understand this company would keep billing her, even if she never activated the device. She fell and was hospitalized about the time it arrived so was unable to tell us that she had ordered it, and therefore feel her money should be refunded in full, as she was taken advantage of, being a senior and in the hospital, unable to do anything. Please we ask as a courtesy and respect to her, that they refund at least the 3 past months of June, July and August 2016 back to her, that she was charged as a courtesy as I think the company made more money than that off my Mother, who never received their service. Thank you kindly and please let me know if you need her bank statements or account number to pull up her bank records of these charges of $34.95. I would say this is Elder Abuse as this company took advantage of an Elderly, Handicapped Woman and took her much needed Social Security Money. I will be glad to give you her Bank Card No that was used if you can call me at my office at ###-###-#### ([redacted] or cell ###-###-####. This could have happened to anyone's Mother and the company did not act kindly or respectfully toward her situation. My Mom needs her money refunded back, in order to help pay for tolietries and personal items since she has been in rehab. Thank you.

To Whom It May Concern,
This customer's account is still open because the customer's account was past due when they submitted they're cancellation letter. The customer had a false alarm that caused the [redacted] Police Department to charge the customer a $150.00 false alarm fee. The...

company paid it on the customer's behalf and invoiced the customer for the amount. Normally the fee goes directly to the customer's home, in this case the [redacted] PD sent it directly to Safe Home. Safe Home is required to pay the fine on the customer's behalf and then invoice the customer so that there is no interruption in emergency responses. 
The customers have refused to pay the monthly fee for April, May, or June as well as the false alarm fine. 
In order for the customer's to close they're account a payment of $248.97 is required to be made. That is for the months of April, May, and June as well as the false alarm fee. The customer's did not send a cancellation letter until the end of May/beginning of June. 
Once this past due amount is paid the company will close the account and update any negative reporting  to the credit bureau.

this response because: The appointment to repair was made for December 4, 2015, but no one showed up for the repair nor did anyone call to cancel or re-schedule. When I called to find out why the tech failed to show up, the voicemails were not returned, It was then that I cancelled my contract with them.

I can say this because after reading the reply, I contacted Mr. S[redacted] at Safe Home Security who personally set me up with [redacted] (their new servicing agent in the Minneapolis area).. [redacted] promptly scheduled a service call to fix my system. The tech arrived as scheduled and resolved the problem with my alarm system.

It could not have been brought up any sooner, because I just recently found out about the contract and the money being taken from my mom's bank account every month.  As far as I'm concerned this contract is void because it was signed when she had dementia and was unaware of what she was doing.   You took advantage of her for 2 years, but no longer.  There will be no more payments sent to your company for this system.

I was scammed into signing my contract with Safe Home Security company. They contacted me saying they are a bridge sister commpany with [redacted] an was coming to update my sensors and keypad. All I had to due was sign off that I received my new equipment and they showed me how to work everything. An that they are the local contact person. All questions an payments will go to them since [redacted] is outsourcing their work. I should have known it was a lie it was to get to be true. It was not until a month later that I recieve a bill and when I called to find out why they told me I signed with a new company. I explaned what happened and Safehome told me well you signed it all we can due is give you a couple months free but your locked in. So Im stuck with them do to their sneaky scheming practices. Now that Im unemployed I can not afford them an all they tell me is your locked in until 2019 and if you want to get out early I have to pay $1400 smh. I can not afford the bill what makes you think I can afford a payoff. I should not have ever been scammed and forced to stay in this contract. Now Im harrased everyday for payments. They wont even work with me. My alarm hasf not worked correctly in months and if it trips off they do not call me phone they immediately call the police and when they arrive and tell them I just have a faulty system they say okay. An days later I het a $42 non emergency fee in the mail from my city dispatching officers for nothing. I explained that to Safehome and they constantly lie and say they called me and didn't get an answer so they sent to police . An everytime it happens Im home.. smh Worst Company Every BEWARE STAY AWAY!

I called to speak with them about when my contract was up, and if they could work with me about lowering my monthly payment. I was told that my last contract was updated in Fall 2013, so I was not even half way through my 48 month commitment, and they were unable to help me. I was told "my hands are tied" by the rep. He proceeded to tell me that they upgraded my panel for free, which later he admitted was wrong, since my payment had gone up 20$. It wasn't "free", they spread it out over the 48 months!!!!! That's not free. I asked them how long I had been a customer (2008), and if I have always been in good standing. He admitted that I had, but again couldn't help me until I was within the renewal period. You can bet your [redacted] I'm not renewing. Hoping to sell this house so I can get out of this contract. They are awful and not willing to work with you.

A total credit of $208.96 has been applied to this account. The credit consists of four months monitoring and the cost of a backup battery. The customer may contact our customer service department at ###-###-#### to schedule service at no cost.

[email protected] to send in a request of cancellation. Once the cancellation request is received via email, the account will be scheduled to terminate on March 16, 2020. This is simply in accordance with the terms of the current contract.

I got an alarm system back in august of 2014. [redacted] of [redacted] went to install the system which he never completed. The monitoring system was never hooked up to the phone line and is still like that today. I restucco my home and he had stated to me that he would go rewire the cameras. I took off of work about 4 times to wait for him and he never showed up. [redacted]inally show up rewired the cameras but did not hook up to the DVR because it was raining. He went back again and hooked it up and it shorted the DVR and the cameras. After he blamed the short on my electrical, he said that the cameras and DVR were under warranty and that he would go back and replace them. Well I waited for about a month and he never called I called him and never answered. I called Safe Home Security to schedule an appointment, after talking to someone who was very rude and unprofessional, I schedule an appointment which I took off of work again they never showed up. I called and they said that the appointment was canceled, with no notification, and that I had to contact [redacted]. If you have any suggestions on what I can do please let me know. I am currently in the process of filing a civil complaint through my locate magistrate court on both companies.

The complete resolution that Mr. [redacted] and I agreed on hasn't been met.  I did get the products that I was promised along with a tech that came out to train me on the system. However, the billing should have started in December, 2016 but they have tried several times to debit my account and I placed a stop payment on the auto deduction because of it.  Now they say I owe for a returned check fee and 2 months of monitoring.  I have called Mr. [redacted] several times without any return call from him.  The billing according to our agreement should have started in Dec. 2016.  Please assist me in this matter.  The last person at Safe Home Security that I spoke with said there were no notes in the file stating this.  If it was an oversight it could easily be corrected but without any contact from Mr. Belanger I don't have a clue what is happening.
