Rise Broadband installed the service at my homeFrom the very beginning, the service was not reliableI was calling tech support weekly and sometimes a few times per weekThey could never get it where it was reliableConstantly going down, and at one point it was down for more than hoursAfter about a month of terrible Interent service, I felt forced to cancel and go with a different more reliable serviceThey still charged me for the early disconnect feeIf the service was as it should have been, I can understand charging the early fee, but when it was completely unreliable the entire time, to the point where I could not depend on it and had to go with a different service, it's a ripoffI DO NOT recommend RiseThe only good thing I can say is their installer was fantastic and very helpfulThat's where good service ended

Our neighbors use Rise - and my son raved about it when he was thereI got a marketing flyer in the mail the same time we were discussing their internet serviceI spent minutes online waiting to chat with someone, only to be told that service isn't available to me because their towers are fullIf that's the case, then don't send marketing material trying to get new customers if we're only going to be told noThis left a bad taste in my mouth with this companybad business practicesI wasted my time, and the rep time, waiting to be told I can't have something they advertised as available

I have been a customer of Rise Broadband for roughly yearsIt has not always been the best service that was available to us however we were attracted to the fact that there was no contract therefore we stayed with the company over choosing a more reliable connection and being locked into a year+ contractWe recently decided to buy a home outside of the city and moved August We were faced with a cross roads of finally getting rid of our internet provider but after speaking to them they ensured us that they were fixing tower issues and that our service would get betterI even moved my service to the higher lever of Mbps than we previously hadI was insured that we would not be charged any fees for moving and that the only thing that we needed to do was be at the new house in order to allow the tech to install the new dishThere was never any mention of a contract, new data fees, or anything that remotely symbolized a contractHad there been any dis

They are a scamming company, sold me a MB service and never mentioned the data limit or the overage charges Company would not do a thing about it, said that just goes with the territory and they could not resolve the issue I would not trust them at all with their sales practices

Returned their Router on June 16th They continue to try to charge me for this router that they have! I am not paying for the router I sent to them using their own return label! Nothing but the run around calls with nothing done they keep claiming they are sending a request for information to a warehouse that apparently never answers back! I refuse to pay $late fee they are not entitled to, their router fee! It's nothing more than a scam on Rise's part to make more money! I will deduct these two fake charges from my bill again, go to the attorney generals offices next! I'm fed up with this router scam! Find Your Router And Quit The games!

Started using Rise Broadband about a year agoFor most of that time they were pretty good except for their billingWe were told $per month for up too 20mp and 90% of the time we got that speed or very closeBut the bill would be anywhere for $to $per monthEvery month would get an e-mail of the bill and would open it with treadBecause I knew I would have to spend to minutes on the phoneThey would correct itAnd then in the last months they are down about every other dayWhen you call its a to minutes hold time if you can get someone at allOne time they were down for a hold week and you could not get anyone one phone

After signing on to their service after having been told by one of two salesman about a day free trial we decided to go ahead and purchase said products we also had the installer tell us about the day free trial because they had to change our package and our equipment upon arriving upon having to cancel because the service would not work for me or my family after days rise broadband chose did not honor their 30-day free trial Because the actual selling person did not mention it in the phone conversation

I signed up for year service plan for internet and telephone last December and had no complaints; however December 6th I no longer had telephone or internet, but due to being out of town, didn't realize it until December 8thIt was late so I called tech support on December 9th and after being on hold for about minutes was told the tower was down and he would have someone check it outThe next day I received my bill for the next month, but still had no internet or phoneI called again on December 11th and again after being on hold for about minutes was told the tower was decommissioned and I would no longer have serviceI was to call customer service during their regular hours the next dayWhen I spoke with customer service he confirmed my tower was decommissioned and that they couldn't connect me to another tower, but showed it as I cancelled the serviceA few days later I received a bill for $for early cancellationI called on the 18th to get this resolved and after about hours of being on hold and being directed to talk with the solutions department, I'm being told they removed the early cancellation fee and that I will get a refund of the days I had paid for service after the time they decommissioned the towerI also am being told I won't get the refund until I return the equipmentI can't imagine how a company can stay in business that treats their customers this wayFirst, they gave no notice they were decommissioning the tower (no longer having service), they were going to change me $because I didn't stay the two years, but I have not recourse that they didn't honor the two year contractI would never in good conscience recommend this company to anyoneKevin in Las Vegas, NV

Rise Broadband bought *** *** a couple of years ago (not sure of exact timing)We had often had issues with *** ***'s service to our residential location, but these would generally be resolved within a month of complaintsRise has been informed of consistently poor quality internet to us since late They have informed us that the connection to our location is over loaded with traffic but have given no estimate of when the over loading issue will be resolvedIn the meantime, our internet service has generally been poor or non-existent and getting worseNot only are we still being charged full subscription price by Rise, but we have subscriptions for other services that require high speed internet service that we can only use occasionally (like ***)

I signed up with Rise on May 24th , for phone serviceAs of today's date July 13, I still do not have serviceCannot access my voice mail and phone lines are deadI have called at least times and live chats at least timesThey will not resolve this issueI get one excuse after anotherThey will not send anyone out to fix the problem
