I was contacted by "Adam" an employee for the student education center, regarding my student loans. He claimed to be able to lower my loan payments to $0 under the new laws. The deal was I would pay $175 a month (my loan payments were only $70 a month) for 7 months and then my payments would drop to 0 for the remainder of my loan or until I make over $40,000 a year income. I agreed and did all necessary paperwork. Then I got the reminder for the first payment stating document prep fees. Ok so that was not what was explained the $175 was going to but if they're gonna get me to 0 loans I'll pay it. So I've made my payments for the last 5 months, with two remaining to withdrawal. Now I'm receiving letters from my loan holder that my payments are to resume right after I stop making my $175 payments. Well isnt that odd. So I contact my loan holder to find out all their company did was basically put my loans into hold so I had 0 payments while they collected their ridiculous fees and then my payments will resume. I've now had to work this mess out and do the appropriate documentation myself to try and get my loans under the Obama forgiveness before my payments resume

I request all of my money returned to me that I have paid out since March $875. And further payments stop immediately. I've attempted to resolve withg the company through email but I get nothing in return. This company is a SCAM! And now I'm fighting to get back money I couldn't afford to spend in the first place.

If there was a way to give zero stars I would! I am very upset with my experienced and would not recommend this place. I felt pressured the whole time but was willing to at least see what the process would be. I've been burned before by loan servicing companies and understandably I was a little skeptical. After being on the phone with Steven (that's the name he gave me) for a while, I asked if we could finish up tomorrow. I had a work emergency and I had to go. I was perfectly willing to continue in the morning. He got very upset and said he's been "on the phone with you for 48 minutes" and was trying to pressure me to continue. I said if he's going to pressure me then we can stop. To that he said he's canceling my application and hung up on me. Be aware too, this place is not free. You pay for it.

When I started to work with Student Education Center, my loans were in default and my paychecks were being garnished. I was a bit confused with how the program works (the department of education does not make it easy), but Oscar was able to explain it in detail with me. Once I provided all of the information needed, they started to work on my file and were able to stop my garnishment.They were then able to get my loans out of a default status and consolidate them. I am so thankful for their help as I was unable to pay my bills when I was being garnished.

I want to thank Oscar and his staff for getting my loans out of default I have been struggling with navient and thanks to student education center my loans are in good standing and with Fedloan for $0 a month. Being a single mom of four kids this has really taken a load of stress away from me. Thank you Oscar for having the patience to explain everything to me when I was in doubt and thank you Lindsay for getting my loans out of default I would definitely recommend you guys to everyone.

Just want to say that I had a great experience with Student Ed Center, it took a few months but they did what they said they would do and now my student loan payment dropped from $450 to $125. I was very impressed with the program and the agent until a concern came up. I was told after a six month program all my student loans would be forgiven unless I made over a certain amount then fee would come based on my salary. Only to find out that that was there fee program and the student loan program was another 9 month program having nothing to do with scheduled payments. The information was explained poorly and I am not happy with management nor was I addressed in a timely fashion I made several attempts to contact the resolutions manager (Oscar)he never returned my call only sent me to other staff members who were unable to help due to their authority with the company I still have not been contacted by (Oscar). Would no ot recommend

Hello ***, we appreciate your feedback as we do want to make sure we address any and all concerns, I have been in contact with Oscar and Allen our Resolutions and Processing Manager who did advise that you would be refunded in full since you stated that your employer would assist you in paying off your loans in full, you also stated in this review that your loans would be forgiven in full, but it may depend on your salary which is how these programs work. I see that when you spoke to Allen he did advise that your loans are not eligible for any type of forgiveness until they are out of the defaulted status they are in, please make sure you have correct information about what your employer plans to do for you since you do not qualify for any IDR program until the loans are in good standing, also be advised there is no need for Oscar to call you since your file has been cancelled out since 7/2/2019 and refund(s) have been submitted and completed, if you have any questions you can always give us a call back and we would be more than happy to assist and make sure you are on the right track, once again Student Education Center thanks you for letting us know how you feel about our Organization and be sure it will be addressed accordingly.

There are so many people out there unaware of the federal programs available to them so that servicers like Navient can get rich. Without help applications are denied for federal help Myself and so many desperately need. Thank you Joy and Student Services for holding my hand through the process and saving me from drowning! I will be sending more of my friends your way .

The student education center helped me out of a very stressful situation....STUDENT LOANS!!! Jake helped me out and emailed me the documents that let me know every step we went over which gave me a peace of mind. He informed me of who was fraudulently trying to over charge me. I would recommend them to everyone. They are truly worthy of the 5 star rating.

The student education center helped me out of a very stressful situation....STUDENT LOANS!!! Jake helped me out and emailed me the documents that let me know every step we went over which gave me a peace of mind. He informed me of who was fraudulently trying to over charge me.
