I can honestly say I was skeptical and uneasy about this whole thing but glad I took a chance with Student Education Center. They answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable group. Sad how my servicer never mentioned any of these programs just so they can continue to collect interest on my payments. Now im done and enrolled. So excited!!!

I was contacted by Student Education Center about applying for a public service loan forgiveness program. I was very hesitant in proceeding with the application process and was reassured by Ian, Sr. Enrollment Specialis, that I would be fine, they were not a scam and were not trying to take advantage of me. After some time on the phone, I gave in and moved forward with the process. I signed a contract with them. They were supposed to put my loans in forbearance until my application processed and went through. I became locked out of my *** account and called them to see what was going on; that is when I found out I had been scammed. The *** employee told me the email they used gave it away and she urged me to report my information has been compromised to all credit agencies. I spoke to Ian today to try to straighten this all out and close this account only to no avail. Ian sent me a computer generated form stating it was from my *** provider. Both of my loan providers claim they have not been contacted to place my loans in forbearance, they are in deferment due to my returning back to school. Ian assured me this was not the case, which was just another lie. I don't want anyone else to deal with the stress and worries of trusting someone with your information to provide a much-needed service only to be taken advantage of in the process. The

I have to say that I am more than grateful for this company. After having so much stress with my student loans, Amanda came into my life at a perfect time. I'm honestly stoked that I was able to get my payments down to a $0 monthly payment. I have been breaking my back trying to pay the standard payment of $168 on my loan for the last 5 1/2 years because my SERVICER Navient failed to ever tell me I qualify to pay literally nothing due to my income! That's INSANE and highway robbery! Navient is not on my side. All they want is money from me regardless if I can afford it or not. It looks like the complaints on here are from people who don't understand that you have to pay for a service. If it was easy to do what they do...everyone would do it for free. Just like your taxes! Anyway, I wish I could have paid this company sooner to get me into a program that would actually benefit me for once. And to Cate: thank you! Seriously. You handled the hundred questions I had and really took the time to explain and for that I am grateful.

This service is a Godsend. I've had to look into other loan servicing options in the past and this one is the best, by far. My account specialist, Aaron has been exceptionally helpful over the past year and is very knowledgeable of the system and knows what needs to be done to deal with excessive loan amounts. SEC is highly recommended.

I have had unwanted calls and don’t even have student loans and they call to say I have student loans that I could get cheaper rates on. No reason for calling me at all!!

I received a phone call from a Student education business saying that if I make 9 consecutive payments my student loan could be forgivin.well I believe I have made five and now they dont answer anything. Emails, phone text messages. I called the student loan.gov and was told this is a scam. Can I get any money back?

I honestly don’t understand why people post up bad reviews about this place and the majority of the complaints sound like someone is upset that they never knew of the programs like ME and paid for a service but is now discontent because the lender calls us and tells us it’s a SCAM like really a scam come on now I have been paying on my loans for years and not once was I informed about any type of lower payment programs I have dealt with FedLoan for nine years and loans almost falling into default BUT I made a call because a coworker gave me some information about S.E.C and I accepted the terms I paid for a service to get my payments lowered and boy has it been a dream come true. If it were not for Jake Karian and his wonderful processing team I would probably be in some kind of garnishment but now my loans are finally out if fed loan and with someone new which I’m my opinion they are all the same and all just want money but S.E.C did HELP me and I think it’s sad that so many people do not appreciate great service. I say thank you S.E.C for assisting me with aowmtiomg I was not able to attain on my own. If I’m paying for a service I expect great results I do not want to go to a drive through and order food so that I can get the incorrect order. I pay for my services and I think all these complaints or bad reviews are from people who are spoiled and want to take advantage of services. Thank you Jake and S.E.C for helping me out and know that I appreciate you.
