I was contacted by a company called Student Education Center. They told me that they could help lower my student loan payment by paying them 199.00 for 7 months, after that I would have a much lower payment than I would through ***. I just received an e-mail from *** two days ago that my loans were past due, I was under the impression that it was all being handled through Student Education Center. It all sounded too good to be true. I just became aware that this business is a scam, they did not make any payments to *** and instead are keeping my money. The services they provided me with are completely free through ***. I have heard of other people getting phone calls from services like this. I feel that they preyed on my vulnerabilities and took a lot of money from my account that I could have been paying toward my actual student loans instead of this fraudulent company.

To whom this may concern, we thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint, we would like to start off by apologizing to Ms. for any inconvenience or any misunderstanding and we would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible, we have contacted Ms. at least 4 times since this complaint has been filed and not once has she returned our calls or responded to any E-mails, she stated in her complaint that she understood the program to be something different and we want to make sure we go over all program details for her so that she does understand what she signed up for, S.E.C., provides a service to many consumers that will benefit them, all consumers are advised of how the process works and the benefits they will receive as well and they sign an agreement that breaks it all down for them, it seems to me like Ms., is confused and if she would call S.E.C. back we would be more than happy to go over everything with her in detail, again I advise that we have been reaching out with no luck and if there is anything S.E.C. needs to provide or do please let us know.

I have tried to call Oscar with the Studwnt Education center now 7 times since I received the attached email. It seems that they are wrongfully witholding my refund for no apparent reason. I have no further issues to discuss with this company. I want my full refund back, this has gone on long enough. I would like my money back so I can take care of payments that I am now falling behind on because they have $1,393 that is rightfully mine. They did not provide a service equal to this amount. I want my

mkneh back and I want to move on with my life. Thank you.

I was contacted by Student Education Center in January 2019 by phone. The caller said that she worked for the "***" and that the call was regarding my student loans. "Lucy" said that I was eligible for loan forgiveness, adding that based on my financial and living circumstances, that I could qualify for a program where I paid $259.00/month for 6 months and then $50/month for 240 months. When I asked what would happen to the remaining balance, she said that it would be forgiven, so I would only pay $13,554.00. In all honesty, I was a bit skeptical, but I was reassured when a contract was sent over. I retrieved it on my phone (email). It was hard to read, but at the top of the contract it had a seal that said United States ***. What wasn't conveyed to me was the fact that the first 6 months only pay for administrative fees that go to the ***. Though this info is in the contract itself, the representative never told me that they were a third party company and not the *** and that the first 6 payments would not be going to the student loan at all. She also told me to ignore all calls from my previous lender, which I found to be strange. I called in to check the status of the loan, and it was placed on a deferment/forbearance. Additionally, I was told that I was not actively enrolled in any loan forgiveness program. I called my former lender, and they said that there was only a specific faction of people that actually qualified for loan forgiveness--government employees and those who worked for a non-profit etc. Based on these criterion, I do not qualify at all for any type of loan forgiveness--though I do qualify for income driven payment plans. I was encouraged to report the company to the Revdex.com and Federal Trade Commission and to dispute the charges. I have called the *** numerous times within the past few months, but they send me to voicemail and do not return my calls.

To whom this may concern, we want to thank the Revdex.com for the opportunity to respond to this complaint, we spoke to Ms. on 3/29/2019 and went over her file in detail as well as offered to render all services free of charge but Ms. stated that she wanted some time to think about it, we contacted her again on 4/1/2019 and she spoke to Oscar R our Resolutions Manager who advised Ms. of her current file status and how the process works, Oscar was kind enough to offer a full refund and render services in full as long as she contacted the Revdex.com and advised that this matter has been taken care of, client stated on a recorded call that she did not recall how the program was presented to when she signed up which is why she asked for signed documents on 3/29/2019, Ms. stated that she would not contact the Revdex.com and she only wants us to send her a full refund, which was not denied but has to go through a process before it can be approved, we have tried to contact Ms. in regards to her request and have left numerous messages for her to call us back, Allen our processing Manager also tried to reach her today but also had no luck, we would like for Ms. to return our calls so that we may continue to address her concerns and make sure this situation is resolved to her satisfaction but this is not an easy task since she is not cooperative, Student Education Center takes all complaints very serious and we make sure they are all addressed with the client since the majority of the time its just a misunderstanding and is easily fixed, S.E.C., has a guarantee in writing for all of our clients to understand, and we take pride in the work we accomplish for our clients, we would like to apologize to Ms. if she did not fully understand what she signed up for and would like for her to give us a call so that we may address this the correct way, if there is anything S.E.C. needs to provide the Revdex.com in order to consider this matter closed please advise.

Although I do appreciate being contacted by Oscar, the Resolution Specialist, I feel that I was misled again. I was told the first time that we spoke that he was very sorry for the inconvenience and wanted to make sure that I regained the trust of the company. He apologized for the lack of contact and for the rude manner in which one of the representatives acted over the phone. He told me that I was indeed eligible for a loan forgiveness and said that the *** was not transparent and did not want consumers to know that loan forgiveness was available to practically everyone. In essence, he expressed distrust in the ***. He said that he wanted to issue me a full refund and help me qualify for the program. I called him back, and during our second conversation, he told me that he would issue a full refund due to my dissatisfaction with the following stipulations: he would do that once I retracted my complaint with the Revdex.com and offer a refund in four installments. I expressed my frustration with him and let him know that I didn't feel comfortable retracting a complaint until I saw work done, and after four months, nothing has been done to get me entered into a program. Additionally, I was worried that I may never see the refund.

I have had the best experience with the student education center. Mr Oscar R has helped me a lot he explained the process to me, and also helped me take the proper steps to get My student loans out of default. It has been hard to make monthly payments due to not having a job or income coming in so he helped me to find a way to continue the program I am truly grateful Thank you Oscar you have been amazing.

Peter with Student loan services called me and said he was calling from the fed student loan dept. and my19,000 owed on student loan was to be discharged due to the new law. He said all I needed to do was pay 1,460 and the remain balance would be foregivin. When I questioned who he was he said he was calling from the My student loan dept and I then started making payments of $260 monthly. When I made my last payment. On 02/17/19 I called to make sure all of my student loan was forgivin when Peter said no . I placed you on a pay as you go loan. I told him I didn’t want that I already had a according to my income based plan with NELNET and that I did not need him to change anything. I told him that was not the agreement we made.Peter stating they placed me on a consolidation plan which I New nothing about And I don’t have to worry about anything for 10 years . Then later that night I get an email stating I am to start making payments to student loan within 30 to 60 days. He claim he placed me with Fed loan services. When I tried to get in touch with this department to let them know this was not authorized they say to call American education dept. I call American edu dept they have no information about who I am and don’t recognize my social. I have no idea where my student loan is. Peter won’t answer my calls. He refuses to give me my money back in which none of the monies I paid went to my student loans please help

I never said I made a mistake on this complaint. That is there word. They tried to beat me. I want them to follow through with refunding my bank and fixing this mess on my student loan.

To whom this may concern, thank you for the opportunity to respond, S.E.C., has contacted Ms. and she did agree to have this complaint removed once I advised her that she did sign the agreement and we do have the recorded calls with her account manager where she was advised that she would be approved for a $0.00 payment due to her income and family size, Ms. was never advised of any discharge once she made her 6 payments, when I tried to go over the programs with her and verified her E-mail address Ms. Lynch tried to deny ever signing any agreement and said that she would have never signed anything, what S.E.C., does not understand is that she continues to state we have gotten her into a mess but in reality all we did was consolidate her loans and get her approved for the IDR at $0.00 a month for this year, I do not know if Ms. is confused but the IP address and recorded calls state something completely different to what she is stating on this complaint, she advised Oscar R our Resolutions Manager that this has been resolved and we would issue a full refund for her and Ms. agreed to this but went to her bank and stated that we fraudulently took the funds out of her account after she spoke to Oscar, we will send all supporting documents to her bank and address this accordingly, and we hope that this complaint is considered closed since it is apparent that Ms. clearly does not recall any conversations or what she agreed upon when she spoke to Oscar R, S.E.C., makes any complaints priority and we address them as soon as possible but in some instances the client is not compliant or is so confused that it makes this impossible, S.E.C., does appreciate the Revdex.com for giving us the opportunity to respond to complaints/rebuttals so that all parties involved have a better understanding of what is going on, if there is anything S.E.C., can do to consider this matter resolved please advise.

I signed an agreement for a withdraw to my account for payments for a dismissal. They are lying. I did not misunderstand that Peter assured me my school loan would be dismissed after my last payment they changed the script. I would like them to pay back money to my bank and continue 0 payments. They are very deceitful and they tricked me. Why would I pay 1,460 for them to put me on a forbearance, when I already had no problems with my prior arrangements with Nelnet. As you can see Revdex.com I sent you a deal that they tried to make with me after they discovered I reached out to you and I forewarded that information to you.

I was contacted by Jacob G at this company advising me that he could help me pay get into a repayment plan for my student loans. The garnishment would be taken off my check and I could start working toward paying off my loan debt. I was to pay 50.00 a month for 6 months and they would work on my behalf to get me into a repayment plan. During that time they got access to my Trellis account, changed my address, and email address to theirs setting up a repayment plan with Trellis in the process. I got NO phone calls, NO emails from Jacob. I had no clue that the repayment had been set up until Trellis took money out of my account. Then I call Trellis today because the repayment money was not taken by Trellis so it is late. They informed me that I had never set up for it to be auto-paid so I tried to log on and do that. I didn't want to miss a payment as that would mean my loan would default and they only give you one shot at it. That is how I found out everything had changed AND Trellis told me that I could have set this up with them and saved myself 200.00. They took 200.00 from me for something that would have taken me 2 minutes to do on my own. They lied to me and scammed me out of 200.00 and I want my money back. They said it would be difficult to get into a repayment plan and would take time. If they had done what I paid them to do in OCTOBER, the garnishment would be off my paycheck as of this month or the next. Instead they scammed me about of my hard earned money. I want the 200.00 I am owed for a job that was NEVER done.

To Whom this may concern, we appreciate the opportunity to respond to this complaint and assure you that S.E.C takes any and all complaints very serious, we have been reaching out to Ms., but she has been unresponsive and this makes it very difficult to address any of her concerns, Ms. signed up with her loans already in Defaulted status and wages being garnished, we were able to set up a rehabilitation program for her and client was very happy and willing to move forward, Jacob went over all the details of what the process is and because of her loans being in default she was not eligible for any IDR repayment plan at the time, we do not understand what she is referring to on this complaint since client was well aware of what is going on when she signed the agreement. We would like for Ms. to return our calls so that we can get to the bottom of things since most of the time its just a misunderstanding, if there is anything that S.E.C need to do in order to consider this matter resolved please let us know, again we appreciated the opportunity to respond to this complaint.

First let me say thank you to all the people working at Student Education Center especially my account manager Hugo . My experience with them was very good and helpful and I'm grateful I went with them to help me out with my loans. I defaulted with my old servicer Nelnet 3 years ago and have been with debt collectors that never tried to help me out. I started getting my wages and taxes garnished and the agencies only offered me settlemens, which I couldnt afford since my balance was $38 thousand. Student Education Center helped me consolidate all my loans out of collections and now this year I am getting my tax refund and my own tax cpa was surprised I get to receive a tax refund. I am so happy and grateful with the outcome and will have them assist me when I need to renew my program.

It's hard to find good service nowadays especially when you have to deal with working all day and dont have any time to be place on hold with my servicer MOHELA. So I called Student Ed Center and spoke with William Templeman and thus far the experience has been outstanding. Not only his humble customer service but the fact that he was honest and very forward that I was paying for a service and the fact that they got my student loan payment lowered to half of what Mohela was charging me. I would definitely recommend this company and have recommended my friends and family over to Mr T because this is a service that I do not mind paying for.

Before speaking with a representative at Student Education Cetner my loan lender Great Lakes kept placing my loans in forbearance whenever I couldnot afford my monthly payments. I thought it was helping me but it was not and with the help from Oscar he explained the process of getting my loans consolidated and now I can start making payments that I can afford on a monthly basis.
