The customers contract will be cancelled per section Unfortunately the customer is not eligible for a full refund as it is past the day period that a customer is eligible for a full refundAs soon as the customers refund check is processed it will be mailed out

I ACCEPTED THE REFUND AMOUNT ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAD MY MONEY AND I WANTED TO JUST PUT THIS ISSUE BEHIND ME, BUT OUT OF $FOR A YEAR PLAN THEY SENT ME A CHECK FOR $WHICH WAS MONTHS OF COVERAGE WHICH THEY CHARGE A CANCELLATION OF $PLUS $FOR MONTHS OF COVERAGE PLUS ANY CLAIMS THAT I HAD, SO REALLY I DIDN'T NEED THEM I PAID MYSELF TO REPAIR THINGS IN MY HOUSE PLUS PAID THEM FOR HAVING COVERGE, THAT CRAZY, BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

The customers claim was denied as they had a plumbing issue outside of the home which is not covered under their agreementIf the customer wishes to cancel their policy it will be per section as full refunds are issued within the first days of purchaseThe customer purchased their warranty in June and is not eligible for a full refund

The customer is being issued a full refund via check that will be mailed out on Thursday, December 10.See Complaint # [redacted] ------- repeat Complaint

The issue is not with the policy as with the the customer was unable to provide the required documentation, as the policy was transferred over we do ask the customer please review the Terms of Agreement

We have upheld our end of the contractThe customer was approved for the policy limitthere are no more funds due at this time

The customer was already approved for $towards their claimSince the customer is not able to provide us with maintenance records as requested we are unable to increase that allowanceIf the customer can supply us with the requested documents we can review their claim for a potential increase

This matter was resolved in November when the customer received their refund check, it was not addressed when the customer received the check nor when they cashed the checkThe cusotmer has been refunded per the Terms of Agreement

The customer has an A/C System which contains mismatchedcomponents: [redacted] Air Handler and a [redacted] Heat Pump We have discussed with the customer that weare unable to move forward with the repairs for the system as per our Terms ofAgreementSee Below:Air Conditioning (Central) ThisAgreement covers the primary floor air conditioning unit of the covered homeonly, provided that the air conditioning unit does not exceed a five (5) toncapacityThis Agreement covers the following air conditioning components: (i)motors; (ii) compressors; (iii) condensers; and (iv) thermostats.This Agreement does NOT cover window, wall or zonesystems or portable air conditioning unitsThis Agreement does NOT cover(i) air filters; (ii) Freon; (iii) Freon recapture; (iv) geothermal systems;(v) gas or propane air condition systems; (vi) air filtration systems; (vii)humidifiers; (viii) registers; (ix) grills; (x) stands; (xi) jacks; (xii)condenser casings; (xiii) pads; (xiv) vents; (xv) flues; (xvi) clogged lines;(xvii) condensation leaks; (xviii) mismatched systems; (xix) damaged ducts;(xx) improper wiring; and (xxi) improper piping;(xxii)freon leaks;(xxiii)damagecaused by freon leak.We have mailed to the customer as promised the check foron Friday, November 21, Wewould be more than happy to discuss this further with the customer and offerany resolve that we may be able to work out

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Where is it in the contract that the customer has to secure our own tech? How long does a customer have to wait for service? One month, two, three? I was told by [redacted] the reason they are having problems getting a tech is because I live in a "remote" area! Sioux City Iowa is NOT a "remote" area! Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:a) The services per the contract were never providedI can explain in detailI was owed a claim reimbursement of $around June I never received that payment even after calling multiple timesThe reps in billing, customer service kept telling me the same thing over and over againI should have never been charged a cancellation fee as well because I canceled because of them not giving me my claim refund and that by the way is a breach of contractFinally when I canceled service in November after waiting patiently for my claim refund (money they owed me per the contract) the service got terminated and I never received my pro rated refund as well Totally disgusting customer service! We did speak to the customer to help with the issue

The customer placed a claim for a year old stoveAfter getting the diagnosis the stove is not worth repairingAs part of the policy we will approve cash reimbursement for the depreciated value of the applianceplease see section of the policy."(iii) In lieu of replacing a system or appliance that is deemed irreparable or it is not cost effective to repair, said determination being made by Select, Select may choose to pay a cash settlement for the irreparable component of the system or applianceSelect is not responsible for installationThe cash settlement shall be in an amount not to exceed the depreciated value of the component/appliance being replaced;" We approved $reimbursement for the year old applianceThe customer elected to cancelWe have approved the reimbursement according to the policy termsThe customer s account has already been cancelled and a check will arrive in 7-days

We spoke with the customer and have issued a full refund A check should arrive in 5-days

I am rejecting this response because:The half was only told you because we didn't want to bother you with further details that would muddy the waters of getting our moneyLast July when it was over degrees every day, our air conditioner went out and we called them to fix itThey sent a repair man who said it needed a new electronic box and another partThey found out that it was under warranty so they said they didn't have to take care of itThe labor to get it fixed was over dollars and they said that they were not responsible for the laborWe have had two other home warranty companies in the past who have covered everything after you pay the initial fee for the repair person to come and analyze the problemThat was strike ONEStrike TWO was the fact they said we would be reimbursed in days and the check wasn't even sent until the 16th! That's a week after we should have had it in our possession! It still hasn't arrived either at our home or my daughters homeWe lived there until we purchased our home here in [redacted] The invoice that they sent us to sign and send back to them for the refund check had the current address and all the other correspondence had our new address as wellWhen we bought the policy we didn't even have possession of our home yet so that's why we used her address to buy the policyStrike THREE is the fact now that we have to wait until the 5th of Febuntil we can request a new checkNow they are saying we have to wait days total which would be Feb10th even though the postal system works six days a week, they say it is their business days that countBy the way, I can send something to the west coast and it arrives in three days! So instead of the days which they promised it could be days! This is unacceptable in any business cultureThere isn't a business anywhere that would tolerate being paid for service rendered in days! They would be out of business! At the same time they have been calling daily and emailing wanting us to renew their services Regards, Steven Powlison

Select Home Warranty is currently researching the refund we have issued to Mr [redacted] s, if the amount is incorrect we will gladly rectify it as soon as possible

THe customer may want to check with their bank as we did issue a full refund on 06/24/

The customer has been informed several times that their claim was not a covered issueThe customer was informed that the issue was a valve problem and it is not covered per section for their warrantyWater HeaterThis Agreement covers all modules, components and parts of the water heater necessary to the functionality of the water heaterThis Agreement does NOT cover solar or tankless water heating systems or the components thereofThis Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to the water heating system: (i) flues; (ii) drain piping; (iii) pressure reducing valve; (iv) leaks(v)pumpsNo additional funds due at this time
