we spoke with cutomoer and explained the terms of the policy and offered the policy max for his claimThe customer elected to cancel and we have processed the cancellation for a pro rated refund

We are currently trying to get in touch with this customer and have a left a message to return our call

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: This is a quotation of policy not a written explanation of how select home warranty determined the claim payment No specifics addressing how depreciation was determined(specifics) Appears to be an arbitrary claim payment I don't think my request is unreasonable Additionally, the policy language you quoted does not address the request for reimbursement for the $service charge Regards, [redacted] ***

We did approve the customer for the max amount available for issues such as he hadHe was not happy with this so as a good will we issued a full refund to the customerHis card has already been credited

We will send the customer a full refund via check

The customer contacted us on 01/04/ regarding a reimbursement he was owed for a reimbursement for 57.00, which was credited directly to his card on 11/21/ The customers policy has since been cancelled since 02/and his additional policy for [redacted] lapsed in May There is nothing owed to the customer at this time

The customer has been issued a refund directly back to their card as of 7/9/

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the tolits and facutts were not the complaint sent complaint was on ac/heating unit which is covered undetr the home warranty planthey just did not want to send out a technician to do the routine mantaince as stated in the warranty this has happen on two request from them in the spring and this winter but that is alright I have not deecided to rewew my contract with them as requestred from them providing that this would be the terms before they would send out a person to service the unit and they do make up rules to suitrte their rejections no where in the contract did I see these terms if simeine nstall a part The entire unit was install by someone else home warranty did not install this unit nor did Carrier, this unit was given to me through a citizen sitizen program and they install it, but home warranty still allowed me to take out a warranty with them it was not an issue then??? let the public know of this matter and caution them about ther terms they also flaged my computer with their ad which I deleted and blocked them from using me as their genniepig thanks $lost Regards, [redacted]

Correct it has two zones but one primary heating system, even if we go with what you have specified in earlier response to this complain which I have cut and past below, it mentions primary heating system, it does not specify first zone on the primary heating system or first zone or first floorAs I mentioned, this is home warranty which means it covers entities in the whole house, such heating system in the house or cooling system in the house, separating first floor from second floor when they are all in one colonial home and they have nothing to separate them makes no senseDown stairs is living room, kitchen and dinning room and upstairs is bed roomsHow can you separate them?Below statement was part of your response to in earlier response:This Agreement covers the primary heating system of the covered home only, provided that the heating system does not exceed a five (5) ton capacity

Both of the customers claims are currently in progressThe customer has been offered to secure their own technician for both claims to expedite the processPlease confirm if you accept to secure your own technician for both claims so that I may advise of the process

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This was not a Freon issue - the Compressor failed and blew the end of the Freon line out - causing the Freon to escape only after the Compressor failed and blew out the capacitors This was the same response I received from them when discussing all last year Unacceptable They stand protected behind their clause of Freon, to save them from any payouts I sent them a clear picture of the compressor blow out and at the connection of the Freon line to the compressor where it failed and Freon escaped only after the compressor failed and they dismissed it just like they are doing now Compressor was working fine for many months, with no issues and then one day all of this happened Loud noise and then no more airUnacceptable answer Anyway - you know my side and the Technicans were two on my side - that in a series of events for this incident:Step 1: Loud noise from outside, the Compressor Blew Out -Safety features kicked on and sent air system into an error mode/lock mode, would not runStep 2: The Freon then slowly escaped the line (you could hear the gas slowly escaping the line after the compressor blew Step 3: I called the home warranty people to send someone out, they shared with them the compressor had failed and no Freon.warranty people said no, because of no Freon I then called a second Tech Service - my own money - he too agreed - that the compressor failed (blew up) and then the Freon escaped - however, they dismissed it as they are doing now Regards, [redacted] ***

We did speak with the customer and helped him make an appointment with the tech

In the event of future claims the customer can request to hire their own technicianHowever, there is procedure involved with doing so and when the time comes the secure your own technician procedure can be thoroughly explained to the customer

We have dispatched a tech and the customer has been approved for the policy limit for the claim

Customers cancellation request has already been processedAs soon as the check is issued it will be mailed out

I am writing to tell you that select home Warrenty is not complying with the agreement that was made back in MarchAfter they refunded the $in question they have blocked my credit card company from refunding the original $that my credit card company was going to get for mePlease help me with this situation thank you
