This was originally opened under Revdex.com Complaint ID: *** and then under Complaint ID: *** Both times the merchant promised to send a check but it never arrived and merchant wouldn't provide tracking to confirm a check was sent outI have doubts that any check was ever sent and believe the merchant is just stalling and using a deceitful tactic to thwart efforts for reimbursementBoth times Revdex.com closed the complaint even though the check never arrivedISSUE: Came into the *** ** location to do a 4-wheel alignment for a *** *** ***iI showed the salesman the sheet that the dealership had printed me indicating that I need a front camber alignment and a rear toe alignmentThe alignment was completed and I was given the before and after values for all adjustmentsLooking over the adjustments made I noticed (1) The front camber was not correctedI asked why and was told that they don't correct the camber alignment on this car because it requires a repair shopI asked why I wasn't told that a proper alignment couldn't be done at Town Fair before I paid and no answer was given even though I made it clear that the dealership told me that front camber needed to be adjusted when I requested the service(2) Looking over the adjustments that were made I noticed that they weren't done properlyFor example, the rear toe alignment spec says that it must be between and so I would expect a proper alignment to set a value somewhere half-way in between around (- = / = so + = 0.13)The alignment was set at (just barely in the spec)I asked the salesman why this is so close to the edge of the spec for my car and he said that if they tried to get it in the middle it would take a long time and they don't have that kind of timeI didn't like that their alignment job was crude and not accurateHad I known that their alignment process is to just barely get all the wheels in spec instead of accurately aligning the car and that they weren't equipped to do my alignment properly I would have not come here Refund Desired Outcome: I would like a refund so I can get my alignment at a shop that can do it accurately and correctlyThe amount I like refunded is around $It was $69+tax As per Revdex.com Complaint ID: 1*** * *** *** *** a check was supposed to be mailed to me but it never arrivedThis time: TRACKING NUMBER MUST BE PROVIDED FOR THE CHECK THAT IS BEING MAILED!!!

I am rejecting this response because:I responded through the Better Business email, requesting a specific resolution from Town Fair Tire I received no communication from Town Fair I have now had to spend another hour on this matter.I purchase four tires from Town Fair Free flat repair was included with all four tires I wish to receive my $back, plus free tire repair on all four tires for as long as those tires last I don't want to TALK with anyone from Town Fair I don't want to visit the Town Fair store and have to deal with their employees You can send the promised letter to me in the mail AND the refund check I would like to review the letter before you just send it out.this time I won't drop my complaint until the letter and check are in hand.I would also like to be compensated in some way for all of the time that I have spent to resolve this, in particular the time I've spent filing the second complaint due to the fact that Town Fair did notfollow through on the resolution that it offered to me

I am rejecting this response because: I had to make more trips to the Vernon Town Fare Tire 1st) to have the correct tires and different rims put on from the first mess up, however when I arrived, the wrong tires were ordered(the wrong ones were ordered,2nd) to have the correct ones put on after they were ordered by the store manager Chris, and 3rd)after having the new tires, the "service tire pressure monitoring system" lights were onWhen I brought it back to get fixed it took them a long time because they couldn't figure out how to fix itFinally after spending hours total in TFT different times, the tires seem to be goodI never received a refund and was also told by Chris that I would be getting a refund for the inconvenience of having to keep coming back which I have not seenChris was very good and I have no complaints about him or his staff, it's the rediculous amount of time, gas, frustration and stress of running back and forth that I hope no one else has to go throughIt would also have been nice to receive a follow up call after the last appointment to make sure I am satisfied with the new tiresHad they done that I would not have rejected this solution because I could have told them instead of writing this.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I tried to let you know that my father and I went into town fair tire with the original recipient and the clerk looked for the tire and it was found on the shelving unit and he said he would send the paperwork in for a refund he said that the other clerk never put it into the system that the tire was returned and apologizedso hopefully this is all resolved.
