Semper Solaris Construction

My experience with Semper Solaris was less than anticipated, as a matter of fact it was down right disrespectful. Every aspect of the job was a disappointment. They did not inform me they had subcontracted the job to the cheapest bidder and it showed. No project manager showed up before, during or after the job. Main electrical panel installed crooked, panels damaged and it took the inspector 3 visits to pass the job and he reluctantly signed off on the job. The inspector said the sub contractor I was stuck with is the worst he has seen! Thanks Semper Solaris you screwed me over. I have been trying to resolve the issues for months, all talk and no action. No operating permit so I am delivering power to PG&E for free, no compensation for my investment. No interest on the part of semper solaris to respond, the check for the balance has been sitting on my desk for months, they don't seem interested in helping me or even getting the balance of the money.
The office in Hayward, CA was closed recently, I wonder why?

Just had my 12 month solar anniversary and my system has produced 8% over the annual guaranteed output. This is in spite of more rainy and gloomy weather than usual..
What a pleasure to no longer have to put up with SDGE’s nonsense.
Rhami is our sales guy did everything he promised was right on target. He followed up continuously and promptly returned my calls. My payback is under 5 yrs and I no longer need to yell at everyone to turn off the lights when not in the room. The installer are neat and efficient and a pleasure to have in my home.

They did a very good job. The roofers were professional and managers were easy to reach and transparent.

If you are thinking about going solar, look no further than Semper Solaris!
After some extensive research and a horrific experience with another company in the past, I was very hesitant to trust a solar company again.

From a very professional sit down, no pressure discussion with consultant Rhami H (needs a raise or promotion) to the team who installed our panels & equipment to the inspectors, nothing but extremely professional and efficient service!
-start to finish, less than 2 months to receive our Permission to Operate!
I review a lot of feedback on companies before I hire them and always wonder, are these comments genuine or made up.
Let me just say, I was skeptical about going solar till now!

We have had Semper Solaris Solar for many years and although have only had about 3-4 problems, their follow up is very sub-par. We noticed some roof tiles slipping down and even though we don't have leak problems, we are concerned and requested an inspection. If the solar panels did not cause the tile problem, there is a $199 charge just for checking. HOW CAN WE KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT WITHOUT AN INSPECTION? Terrible public relations!!!

Semper Solaris did a super job installing our solar system. Michael G our sales representative supported us all the way through the installation. We liked that they were veteran owned and managed as well as the fact that they are also a roofing company. Their bid was competitive with others and the installation took less than a single day. Our neighbors commented on how professional they were and how respectful of the neighbors during the installation. We had our installation done on Monday and were live the following Tuesday.

Just wanted to give a huge thanks to my sales rep Rhami for all his help throughout my solar project from start to finish he was very professional and very friendly throughout the first day to the last day. Thanks Rhami for making everything super easy and please continue doing a great job.

First- the process took about 8+ weeks, which seems very good.
Princess E is very responsive and very helpful. She either answered my question or found the person who could. She was the highlight of the process.
Billie J was helpful. Her voice mail was full one time. But every time Princess referred my email to Billie, Billie answered promptly.
The installation went well. The city building inspection had to be rescheduled when your company rep missed the city inspector the first time which delayed the process 3-4 days. Of course, the 8AM-12PM time frame SDG&E required makes it difficult for your company.
The city forwarded the paperwork to SDG&E quickly and SDG&E approved the PTO quickly.
So far, the process has been very good. I just need to see the panels work and produce enough energy for our uses but that will take a couple of months. I realize I new very little about solar energy. I am now anxious to see it work!

I reached out to Semper Solaris as a professional answering their ad for sales work. After much research about their products, services and their outstanding outreach to U.S. Veterans, I was very happy to accept a phone interview with a person representing the company at their corporate location in El Cajon California. I am very busy with my own business and wanted to sincerely explore doing something that benefits Veterans since my own dad was a U.S. Veteran.

After setting up a firm time in my schedule to speak with the representative of the company who asked me to set a certain amount of time aside, I waited for her call while working in my office. No call came in. I rearranged my whole Monday morning schedule for her call which we set up three days prior.

Thus, I wrote this letter to her, and even sent it to the company via their website. I will not accept anyone who takes my time without respect for me as a valuable person. I decided not to explore working for them. I am happy to see beyond this opportunity. There are many other opportunities out there where I can reach out to U.S. Veterans instead of working for Semper Solaris. Enjoy:

Having made myself very well educated on your products and services via you website, I looked up all of your ten locations and chose the corporate number to call. I spoke with (name withheld) who said she knows you and would get my message to you right away. Guess what happened?

Right after that call to your corporate office, I get a text sent to me from (name withheld) along with a link for me to reach out to "Semper Solaris" so that an appointment could be scheduled by one of your professionals to come out to my home and see how we could be helped with your products. (What? What happened to the interview. I'm not looking for solar on my home!)

Would you call this professional? I don't.

Thus, although I was ready to speak with you regarding the wonderful company that "Kelly Shawhan" and "John Almond" founded, especially being excited about the "Semper Cares Inititative"...I am no longer interested in speaking with you about the job opportunity.

In my business, Customer Experience matters from the first contact whether it is email, a text, a phone call or person to person. I am very disappointed in your lack of care for my time and interest.

Our experience with Semper Solaris was excellent from beginning to end. The process took longer than we anticipated, but that was due to the age of our home and the need for upgrades which had to be done by SDG&E. Throughout the entire experience Michael G was always accessible with an immediate response to any questions or concerns we had. Recently, we noticed that there was a problem with our monitoring system, and once again Mike took care of the problem right away. We have recommended Semper Solaris to several friends and they are satisfied also.

I Googled @SemperSolaris to get a bid for solar and liked the fact that they were a locally and veteran owned company. I chose Senior Energy Consultant @RobertA*** because of his laid back, no pressure selling techniques. I purchased 7.2 kWp System and (1) Tesla Powerwall 2.0. I also found their Operations Dept. very informative and professional. @LeticiaC*** always provided me with an update and I highly recommend @SemperSolaris.

Semper Solaris installed solar panels on our roof and we are happy to say it was a very positive experience. Mike was very professional and seemed to have a good working relationship with his crew. Rhami, the salesman, was quite knowledgeable, answered our questions promptly and explained everything in terms that were simple and easy to understand. One solar panel had been damaged in transit with the others. We were very pleased and impressed that they had a replacement here by 10 AM the following day. Semper Solaris is a first class operation which we would recommend to anyone considering solar power.

Semper Solaris installed solar panels on our home several months ago. We have been VERY happy with the entire process. Genevieve came to our home and explained in detail all about the various brands and types of panels, as well as the accompanying electronics which sync to cell phone and computer monitoring applications. The installers were efficient, experienced and courteous. We compared other companies and went with Genevieve and Semper Solaris. We are happy that we did.

I researched seven and met with four companies before hiring Semper Solaris to install our panels. They had top of the line panels, great financing and really worked with us, since I'm installing on my father-in-law's house (our sales guy Rhami especially went the extra mile to make that happen). I also chose Solaris because I felt respected, and never pressured or condescended when working with them. You'd do well to work with Rhami and Semper Solaris.

All went well with our installation. If I had a question, I didn't hesitate to call or email. Can't wait to see the savings.

Based on our experience so far and the run around they are giving us - no ownership / no project management - no follows through or communication. Just excuse after excuse. My husband as a Marine says this company should have no association with the a marine corps. They are passing the buck . We started this solar project the end of Q3 2019 and still have no solar. They have every excuse under the sun. as they will to this post also , we are tying to figure out how to cancel everything with them. We don’t want the pa ales going up / we want no association with this company . I have had friends family who started their solar project months after us with different solar companies and their solar is up And running and done!

Semper Solaris was one of 3 quotes that I received. Gavin P came out from Solaris to walk me through the process, and also provided a very reasonable quote based on the work needed. I chose Semper Solaris after reading lots of good review. After a salesperson came and signed the contract on June 28, 2019. Everything went downhill. Took a month for someone to do the measurement. After that, no one called or updated me unless I called them. In the past month, I kept calling them and they just did not want to give me a expected installation date.
I will suggest people thinking about Solar panels in Hayward area look for other installers to save you some trouble.
