Semper Solaris Construction

I chose Semper Solaris after looking at several other companies. The product they offer is top quality from what my research has shown. They back it up with a "bumper to bumper" warranty that includes labor. Other companies drop off labor many years earlier which drives concern of the reliability of the products.
A few items that I liked about their product. First, the inverter is part of each solar panel. Since this is covered for the 25 years as with the panel, I do not have to worry about failure. Second, individual inverter should help with overall power production throughout the year. Second, there is a single roof penetration for the power cables and a conduit is used internally as much as possible. This leaves a short external run of conduit on the exterior walls of the house. Paying attention to detail, they paint this external conduit to match your house color.
Setting up the contract was made easy by Mark A. He did what none of the other companies did prior to wanting you to sign the contract. He inspected my power panel and its location to ensure we would have no additional expense surprises later. Others expect you to sign the contract and then they perform this survey. Possibly leaving you stuck with large additional expenses.
Michael C was my project manager. He kept me well informed throughout the process from me getting my HOA approval to the final inspection by the city before SDGE approved permission to operate. He followed up after the project was complete to ensure I did not have any issues and informed me that I could contact him anytime in the future should I have any questions. He also provided me some photos of the installation preventing the need for me to climb onto my roof.
Beside the smooth installation and the expected quality of the system, I must state they were able to give me a comparable system and pricing as other competitors. I would recommend Semper Solar to anyone looking at buying or leasing a solar system to reduce their electric billing.

It took awhile, but that was due to SDG&E. I can't thank the team enough. From Genevieve Johnson to John, Dexter, Paul and Josh. We are so happy to finally have given the "Dear John" letter to the electric company. Semper Solaris is the only company in San Diego with general contractor, electrical contractor, roofing and solar business licenses. Highly recommend!

I recently had solar installed in my house. I had the pleasure of working with Rhami H and Michael C. I was worried at first because I had talked to a few other companies and they really did not give me a confident feeling that they had everything under control. I called Semper Solaris and the next day Rhami came out, after talking with him for about an hour he had explained everything, let us know the size system we needed. I was very happy with his sales technique. He laid everything out up front, there were no added costs at the last minute, no talk about we forgot about a piece of equipment and it will cost an extra $1500.00, everything was transparent and easy to understand. I also had the pleasure of dealing with Mike, he called to check in with me for every step of my solar install, making sure I had all the paper work that was needed, and to make sure that I understood everything that was going on. Talking to Mike was more like talking to a friend than talking to a customer service person. My overall experience with Semper Solaris was fantastic! I would recommend them to anyone looking for solar.

It's easy, all went perfect. Amazing project management, best panel on the market (made in USA!), great installation! Cannot be better.

After speaking with three different Sun Power installers, we selected Semper Solaris because of their very competitive pricing on their most efficient panels. We sized the system two panels larger than calculated because we wanted to come closer to matching summer demand; this turned out to be 18 panels. Once we got some old (unrelated) permit issues resolved, the installation crew did the install in a day and a half.
In addition, we wanted hardwire (ethernet) communication from the PVSupervisor to our modem, not WiFi, which meant another installation.
All of the installations were done very professionally by knowledgeable a crew. Production meets our expectations; we are VERY pleased with our electric bill. I was simply waiting for the first hard rain to see if we had any roof leaks before I posted this review.
All is good! Overall, very happy with sales (hi Bob!), crew, and results.

I would like to share a positive review for our recently installed Solar system.
Having recently relocated to the Southern California area, having solar panels installed on our house was a top priority. After searching many Solar companies and talking to as many people as we could. We chose Semper Solaris for our solar installation. Our project coordinator Michael L. C walked us through every step of the process. He and his team were extremely helpful in making sure our concerns were answered. The installation itself went great. The installation team did a wonderful job ensuring the conduit runs were as minimally visual as possible. While our system has only been in since December, we are happy and glad we chose Semper Solaris.

Every phase of our installation went as expected and was handled by friendly and professional staff. This started with the sales effort and continued through completion especially including the installing technicians and the quality of their work. Everything works and no damage, no leaks.

To whom it may concern, where do I start about this company Semper Solaris. I learned about Semper Solaris from our Nephew and Niece that recently had their solar system installed by the Company. As my Wife and I were researching many different companies to install our solar system, our Nephew told me to contact Mark Ivory at Semper Solaris. And I am glad we did. I contacted Mark and he set up an appointment to come to our house and discuss the options for solar. Mark provided a custom layout for how many panels we would need and how much energy we would produce. Mark was very thorough and explained how solar works and answered all our questions. And believe me we had quite a few of them. Mark left us with all the information we needed and with no pressure to use their services. My Wife and I took a few days to discuss what we had learned from Mark and how we could only benefit from solar. With that said, we decide to go with Semper Solaris.
The next step was to talk with the project manager Matthew Ward. Matthew provided us with the information pertaining to how the project would work. Before your project starts they design a template of where the panels and all the equipment will be located. This eliminates any confusion, and everyone is on the same page. There is no room for error as you electronically sign that you agreed to the drawing. I must say I was really impressed with how the layout looked. The panels were position perfectly on top of our roof in the drawing. Finding the location for the equipment was more complicated, but these guys are professionals and they knew which options we had. The reason finding a location for the equipment was complicated was due to the location of our gas meter. The equipment could not be within 6 feet of the gas meter. Matthew and his team came up with a brilliant idea and informed us we had an option to have it installed in our garage. Even though it would take more cabling to run the electrical wires to our electrical box, Semper Solaris did this with no extra charge. After the layout was agreed upon, the next step was to schedule the installation date. This is where I met Michael Cognetti our personal project coordinator. Michael set up the installation date and made sure I was aware of everything that was going to transpire. I did not have to call Michael to get updates, he called me. Yes, it still exists, as Semper Solaris is a company that cares about their customers. Michael was our main point of contact from here on out. As our project progressed, my Wife and I still had questions. Michael was able to answer every one of them in timely manner. At the end of every call that we had he never hesitated to say, “call me if you have any other questions”. Michael made this project and installation painless. So as a human you start to think this is probably too good to be true. But me as a witness their service is great, and it is true. These guys really know what they're doing. Now came the time for the installation. The day finally came, and Michael let me know what time the installers would be at our home and everything that was going to happen.
The day of the installation I met Alex and his crew. Talking about professional installers, these guys are it. The first day, their focus was installing the panels and getting all the wiring ready. With the panels they installed and the wiring they prepped, it was better than I thought it was going to be. Equipment installation in the garage came out superb. Installation of the panels on the roof was installed like they came with the home.
The second day was the running of all the wiring, cabling and connections to the electrical panel box. With our installation, there are no wires, cables or tubing visible on top of the roof. All the wires, cables and tubing are running directly through the attic to the main electrical panel box. When you look at the panels on our roof they look like they're not connected but they are. Only tubing you see with our installation are two tubes running down the side of our house to the electrical box. The rest of the equipment is professionally installed in our garage.
After the completion of the installation, Alex and his crew tested the system to make sure it was working properly. Alex informed me step by step what I needed to do once I had PTO (permission to operate). Michael also inform me of what steps I needed to take once I had PTO. Approximately two weeks after the installation I had the authorization to turn our system on. Semper Solaris provide so much information that I'm not going to go into details because it is so much to cover. For the great warranty and superb panels, you will need to contact Semper Solaris for that information.
Approximately two to three weeks after we had our solar system turn on, Semper Solaris came back out to the house to make sure everything was still working properly. Talking about customer service.
Our project is now completed, and my Wife and I are happy customers. Just the other day Michael called and ensured me that he will be our personal project coordinator for the full warranty of the system. Did I mention Semper Solaris has a 25-year warranty? A real 25-year warranty covering all parts and labor. All, if you do not have solar and you own a home it is worth considering. Again, you're going to pay your electricity bill somewhere, why not pay yourself. Semper Solaris is a company that can provide you with great service and a piece of mine.
I thank our Nephew and Niece for introducing us to Semper Solaris and I thank Semper Solaris and the entire staff for being a great company and providing a service that people can still Trust.

I have resisted doing solar for several years because I dreaded the interaction with a company that really didn't care about me as a consumer. That feeling was eliminated with my interaction with Semper Solaris. It really comes down to the people. From my sales rep, Mike W, who was honest and straightforward with me. To Jenny D who as project coordinator went out of her way to take care of all my concerns in a pleasant and respectful manner. Anthony M and the installation crew were efficient and extremely knowledgeable in the installation. I have never interacted with a company that I feel so positive about after the work was finished. I wish I could give them 10 stars they deserve it.

Semper Solaris is not just another contractor, they are an elite contractor. From the first phone call from Dustin, the sales rep, to the install team, Jeff, Tyler, Robbie, Jason and Kiril, and the last congtadulatory permission to operate call from my project managers Michael and Mark, the team was on it. I have never experienced working with a project team that took the time to keep me in the loop and let me know what to expect each week of the project. Love love love this company. This was our second experience having solar installed and the product and team were superior to what we had previously experienced.

They were the best price for the exact same product from 5 different contractors on Owens Corning Web site. Got the 50 year warranty included with my selection and can now rest at ease that the roof is in good shape.

Real professional job from A-Z. Mark Kravchak was the project consultant and was extremely informative throughout the process. I was kept abreast of all the guideposts and Semper completed the project before year-end as promised. I could not be happier that my solar system is humming along saving me money on my electric bill.

We talked with three different solar companies and are very glad we went with Semper Solaris. Mike B, sales rep was thorough at explaining everything. Was not overly aggressive and very knowledgeable. John R was our customer service contact and kept us up to date along the way. Mark K PM called and also walked us through turning everything on. The installation crew were on time and very clean and neat with the job, even painting everything to match our house. Would definitely recommend Semper Solaris. A job well done

1. Knowledge of the sales and project team: Genevieve J provided exceptional sales consulting -- she was thorough and totally professional in explaining solar systems, how it would affect us and the differences in the Semper Solaris solution and program. Very top notch and closed me for the deal. 2. Our project manager, John R was also very professional and super responsive. not only the follow up, but in resolving any questions or issues (they always come up), to our satisfaction. 3. Quality of the installation and after installation support is outstanding! Semper Solaris is a team focused on the client -- timely and they exceeded our expectations! You cannot go wrong selecting this company -- they are there for you and take deep pride in their workmanship and follow through!!!

We are very happy we chose Semper Solaris to install the solar panel system on our house. Nicole, John, Mike, and the installation team were quick, professional, good at their jobs, and great to work with. They took care of everything -- the whole process was just really easy.

We were just allowed to initiate our solar system and I am very happy with the experience we had with Semper Solaris. Their installers put up 28 panels in one day and even beat the estimated completion time the foreman had set by 30 minutes. We could have been up and running a month ago except for our city and SCE dragging their feet but Semper Solaris did all they could to get us producing. My customer care contact, Laura V, was fantastic, responding quickly any time I sent her an email, even late on a Sunday night.

We had a great experience with Semper Solaris and would definitely recommend them. We interviewed and got quotes from several companies and they impressed us from the beginning. Genevieve J was our sales rep and she was great - very professional, no pressure, super prepared and took time to educate us about solar and answer all of our questions. We wanted a quality product with a great warranty and after a lot of research and comparisons and a great price offer from Genevieve, we made our final decision. Getting started was easy and all paperwork was done online and they got us going with financing as well. Their customer service is awesome, John R. was our rep and Trevor was our PM and they did a great job. John was always available to keep us up to date on the process and answer questions, even via text, which was awesome and super convenient for me. We really wanted it to get done by the end of the year and they moved pretty efficiently. We had one small hiccup with the pool guy not coming on the day they were supposed to (we had a variable pool pump installed through Semper also) but that wasn't Semper's fault and they were apologetic. Installation went well and we are just waiting on the final inspection to turn it on. (there was a small typo in the plan that was noticed during the first inspection that needed to be changed, so that delayed it a little unfortunately). We will definitely recommend Semper Solaris to anyone!

When I decided to have solar installed, I met with several companies that were highly recommended online. I also did my homework because I have a fairly large home, but numerous pitches in the roof, so I felt that I would need to have efficient panels and opted for *** or ***. Semper Solaris offers *** and also had a large rebate, and a free panel for every 12 purchased but moreover, their representative - Bernie - is a true people person. Not only did he answer all of my questions on day one, but he was readily available via text and/or email to answer questions that arose during the process. Questions that didn't involve installation or sales but were associated with understanding Net Metering and Renewable Energy Credits, filling out forms and agreeing to a variety of contract options with the utility company. He went beyond his "job duties" to read through a few contracts I sent him, and give me sound advise. Billie is the other solid contact that Semper Solaris has on their team. Considering that I spent quite a bit of money on this system (22 panels), it was important to me that someone was giving me regular updates, making sure Semper Solaris and I were on the same page about my project integrity, completion, and deadlines for rebates and Net Metering. Billie kept me informed and went well beyond the designated "job duties" over the Holidays to make sure that everything was up to my expectations and all deadlines were met. Billie answered emails and text almost immediately. Absolutely an amazing individual to work with who genuinely cared about my job! It is extremely noteworthy that Bernie and Billie are both trustworthy and honest individuals. In a world where making the sale is coupled with lies and deception, I for one truly appreciated finding honest people to do business with. If I had to do this all over again, I would definitely go with Semper Solaris. The crew always called me in advance to keep me informed of their scheduling and worked with the fact that I couldn't always be at home when they were installing. I will say that the crew was so competent that I felt very secure with them completing the project while I was at work. I knew that they would handle my job with the professionalism that I expect when I hire and pay a contractor. I give Semper Solaris my highest recommendation without any reservation whatsoever.

We got our solar done about two months ago and love it! The sales Rep (Dustin W ) was great to work with. No BS talk and was very friendly and no pressure. He spent time listening to our concerns about going solar and addressed them. He gave us great detailed info about the products and the pro's and con's about solar. He didn't bash other products, but just assured us that Semper uses the best product on the market. Signed that day with Semper.
The point of contact person that contacted us the next day to get the project started was Jenny D. She was a fantastic person and good at her job. She kept us informed step by step about how the project would go and answered any questions we had. She made us feel very comfortable with the whole process and was very professional and friendly.
The install crew was a great bunch of guys. Set up a time and they were there right on time. Got the job done fast, clean and ran the conduit piping the way I wanted.They even painted it to match the roof and the house!! Brian P, Jared G, Caro S and Miguel C were a stellar crew.
