I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In all actuality the response is not a solution to the problem.  The problem is that SIC metals still has not sent the refund. [redacted] promised he would send a refund in December and here it is March and I still don't have the check.  [redacted] would like me to somehow believe he has had email issues, as well as phone issues.  All of my call, emails, and text messages  just simply didn't reach him? To get straight to the point it might take five days for a check to get from ** to [redacted] so what is the hold up?

This letter is in response to the complaint ID referenced above. We have contacted Mr. [redacted] and informed him that we are working to complete his trailer as quickly as possible. At the time of purchase Mr. [redacted] agreed to the acknowledgment per our contract...

that there could be possible delays in the construction of his trailer since it is a custom built product based on his requirements. As he has been made aware via e-mail conversation on 10/20/14, his custom built product has been delayed due to metal supply issues. He replied to this email and informed us to get it done as quickly as possible. While we are doing all we can to complete his order we do not have control on delivery of the required materials to complete his trailer since we do not own or operate the mill that produces these materials. We will continue to work with Mr. [redacted] to complete his order and do all we can to resolve the supply delay. We will continue to work with the Revdex.com to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I’m not satisfied withthe response to my complain.  In response, SIC Metals inform me, they can’t refund mymoney, because material to build my trailer was ordered. This is news to me.SIC Metals never said, material was ordered. If this really happened, they should be able to provide concrete completiondate. My original order should be completed in timely manner.  It never materializes forcing me to opencomplaint. As stated farther in response to my complain:” You agree by signingthis contract that you accept the terms and understand that delays are possibleas this is a fully customized, built to your order product, and is not astocked, mass produced or retrofitted product. You also agree that yourdeposit/payment will not be returned to you if construction on your product hascommenced or materials have been ordered for your product.” Yes I understandsuppliers can delay delivery. I don’t believe suppliers delay deliver as longas six months. Now about commenced:” Commence is a fancy way of saying begin atthe start of a formal event such as a meeting or war” . Here is my proposal :instead using fancy language, refund my money. I don’t believe SIC Metalsstarted work on my order.  There is noproof  they did.  In previous  letter,SIC Metals stated:”…. These delays can be a factor in the production of saidtrailer of this order. Delays can be longer than anticipated by SIC Metals& Fabrication, LLC., these delays can effect estimated completion times upto twelve weeks……” TWELVE WEEKS PER CONTRACT. Please explain this. I read many complainsonline abut SIC Metals.(I should read before I placed my order) My case is not individual case. It is sound like commonpractice by SIC Metals: taking money from costumers and not completing work on time. My trailer was late and emails and phone calls went unanswered as many complained. But my trailer was delivered and it's great. Built very well and was a great price. I had never meet Bruce in person. All contact was via phone and email while ordering. My image of him wasnt good when I tried to contact him, but when I met him it totally changed. He is a nice guy with a lot on his plate. His company is small. Just him and a couple helpers . Almost a one man show. Unfortunately being small and placing smaller orders of supplies it dose make it difficult to get some needed products for completing a custom trailer. After meeting with him I understand the delays. The trailer they built me is great. I would recomend them on the premiss that it may take 6 months to get your trailer. Thanks bruce.

Fabrication for warranty repair will be done at the customer’s expense. I ordered a custom trailer in August 2014, signed a contract that stated a 12 week delay could happen. SIC asked for the full amount be paid upfront, I agreed to half. 1 year later I do not have the trailer. I asked for a refund when they told me two weeks ago that they had not started on my trailer. They said no refund but they would offer me a discount and promised they would supply me with a delivery date. I have heard nothing since.
I sent them an email saying that I would take one of the trailers that the company is advertising on EBay but no response. Do I have any recourse?

I recently purchased an aluminum dual axle utility trailer, a more than fair price for the quality of the trailer. I picked up the trailer which was ready one week early compared to the two weeks noted in the purchase quote, I left the shop and before I was even ten miles from the shop I had to stop, one of the wheel bearings was nearly seized, hot and smoking. I called the shop, which was ready to close for the day, they said to bring the trailer back and they'll check it out. Bruce and a couple of his technicians stayed late, night before Thanksgiving. They tried to get the wheel and bearing off and it wouldn't budge. I suggested leaving the trailer there and picking it up after the holiday. Their answer was no we'll just put a new axle on. I agreed and in a little over an hour I was on my way. Their attitudes and professional service was awesome.

Nice trailer at a fair price. Only change I would make is to relocate VIN and tire info. stickers to another location as any storage container added to tongue of trailer covers them up.

I must admit, I was a little skeptical of Cargomaxxx with some of the reviews out there but Bruce quoted a good price and Curt made sure my trailer was shipped fast and on time. The trailer exceeded the quality I was expecting and overall I was very pleased with my experience with SIC/Cargomaxxx.
If you are looking for an aluminum trailer, I would highly recommend these guys. Fast delivery and good pricing with one of the nicest trailers I've seen on the market. They even set up delivery to my house.

Review: My complaint seems similar to many others posted. I ordered 2 trailers on 9/11/14, paid in full $4,650.00 at time of order. Check was cashed immediately. Target delivery date was January, 2015. To date, I have no trailers. I've contacted the business many times, he keeps saying he's waiting for parts. I asked him recently to send photos of the work in progress, no response to that either. This makes me suspect that work has NOT started. I've now had to rent trailers for my work since these have been delayed for so long.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund.

After a long delay in building, my trailer arrived this week! I know there were some deliver issues from SIC Metals in the past but Curtis Snell has been working with SIC to get current on all their backlog of orders. The communication was awesome and the trailer was even better. I am a perfectionist and my trailer exceeded every concern I had. I specifically order this trailer from SIC Metals because I did not want to order another out of the box trailer and get it home only to do 6-10 modifications to suite my needs. I even added and changed the order during the build and they met every one of my requests. I could not be happier! Curt and Bruce are good guys and stand behind what they promise! If they get their current backlog current I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

My trailer is everything I expected and more. It is extremely well built, quality everywhere is evident. I know this because I am a highway contractor who has bought a lot of trailers. This is a personal unit and I wanted a lightweight aluminum trailer capable of carrying my own 4000 pound tractor. I am extremely pleased and I was lucky enough to have it delivered. Even with that fee, the price was far better than I could buy locally for a much better price. I do know they had some production issues so I waited a lot longer than I expected, but I believe those issues are solved. I am a happy customer.

Review: I have contacted Sic Metal & Fabrication, LLC to build me a trailer and received an invoice on 6/15/2014 for $2450.00. Invoice #[redacted]. I sent them half the total which they received on 6/23/2014. I have called several times without anyone returning not one of my calls. On August 11th I relceived an E-mail stating they were waiting for axles to arrive from [redacted] and my trailer would be readey in a few weeks. Here it is 8 weeks later and no trailer. I have sent several more E-mails and also called with no response. I need some help.Desired Settlement: I would just like to receive my trailer.

The CargoMaxxx trailer is excellent! It took a while for the order to be filled but it was worth the wait! It is hard to find an all aluminum trailer this size that can haul A ton legally! The bifold ramp and the aluminum wheels make the trailer look even better! SIC Metals even delivered the trailer at 3 o'clock in the morning before I went to work! Now that is Great service!!

Review: BUYER BEWARE. This is the all-time worst business I've ever dealt with. I sent a deposit on 2/19 with a delivery date of 5/6. The trailer is now over 5 months overdue and I do not have an expected delivery date nor can I reach the business. Most Emails and Voice Mails were/are never returned and the ones that are returned are filled with excuses & blatant lies. This has been an infuriating experience and I'm completely fed up. I've demanded a refund of my deposit ($1475) by phone and e-mail but have been unable to get a response.Desired Settlement: I no longer wish to do business with this business...I just want my deposit ($1,475) returned.

This letter is in response to the complaint ID referenced above. As per a letter sent to this customer via USPS mail on 8/14/14, his trailer had been completed and was awaiting his reply for scheduling delivery of said product. This custom built product has been completed and this customer is refusing to take delivery of his custom built product. Under the terms and conditions of the signed contract of this customer, we have full rights to not refund his deposit. It is our recommendation to the customer to simply complete this transaction. This customer still owes: $1375.00.

I was looking for a 5x10 aluminum trailer with solid sides... Nobody makes one except for Bruce. Sure, you can add on some sides to already expensive big name trailers, but they aren't as strong as an actual welded box & you'll spend more. Also had Bruce fabricate a really strong removable cross brace to attach j-cradles for my kayaks. He also beefed up the light brackets, so they could be used as a step. Tows so nice, you can forget it is back there sometimes.

Bruce, I want to let you know how happy we are with the 35 foot aluminum bridge you built for us. The footer you added and your engineering provided extra value. The 2 light poles are great, along with the electric outlets. If any of your contacts want to see a sample of your work, have them give me a call and they will be welcome to visit us. I have looked at several of your trailers and the quality adds to the brand image of your customers. If I needed a trailer, I would want you to build it.
