Within a month of subscribing to their annual membership package (people for movies per month), they changed the plan and now require paying an additional $per person processing fee on any online ticket purchased This was not the plan when I joined and the cost is unavoidable for online purchases They have an option for a physical card (costs $more to get), but that only prevents the fee if you use the card at the theater before-hand, but that's not what I signed up for I could do that with Moviepass, the reason Sinemia seemed like a better solution was I couldn't do online ordering with Moviepass, so when I got to the theater the movie was already gone or seats were bad Sinemia offered a solution at a comparable rate, but then destroyed that when they forced the additional $per person processing fee So that's $extra I have to pay for people PLUS if I see a movie at a theater that I don't get free online transactions with, then I have to pay for that convenience fee as well, so that could add another $to the cost This was not what I agreed to when I signed up but you ***'t get out of it, no refunds, and they won't honor the original agreement I understand if they needed to change their cost structure in the future, but they don't honor the original agreement nowwhich apparently means they will change more or charge more in the future without repercussions Also, it's very complicated to use their service You ***'t just decide to go to a movie, you really have to spend time in front of a computer and look up times, locations, and then work through the Sinemia app to login everything, get their card numbers, transpose all their information and then login/checkin again later at the theater Pain in the ***

On May 2nd, I ordered a premium subscription for from Sinemia, at the time, according to their website, it would only take days to get their subscription cardAfter weeks of waiting, I used their support website to ask where the card was at and I got response back that it was delayed and to use their CardlessUnfortunately I don't think their cardless feature will work for me and after asking questions about it through the same site, I never got a responseA few weeks ago, they updated their site, saying that it takes up to months for the card to get delivered but I've been waiting almost weeks for the card and I still received no response on if the cardless feature will work for meI've sent a support message last week on July 9th, for how to end my neverused subscription and get a refund, they still haven't responded

I could not give any less stars The service started out as a good deal and with the physical card was somewhat easy to use No version of the app has ever been user friendly Then came the virtual cards, the service charges, & other hidden fees I cannot rate customer service as it was non-existent I emailed a question back in October and still haven't gotten a response No phone....that tells me they just want you to get frustrated and give up because they already have your money I am grateful my annual subscription is up this month

Sinemia has clearly taken advantage to moviepass *** to scam users into buying their serviceThey charge upfront for a whole year and there is no customer service and no way to get back your moneyThere is no phone number to call and they will not respond on email
They will not provide you with card like moviepass *** you pay $for itTheir auto-generated Master Cards keep getting rejected on all sites (including atom tickets )oftenIn short you cannot make a purchase whenever you want and have to try your luck

Sinemia is a ripoffThey took my money and I could not purchase tickets for the third time this billing cycleSupport told me to try again at a different theaterThe movie I wanted to see was only at one theaterI will be cancelling at the end of the billing cycle and disputing charges
To recap - I purchased a family plan for tickets per month for people on an annual basis and paid for accelerated approvalThe first time I attempted to use Sinemia my "cardless" card was declinedSomehow someone at Sinemia managed to get it funded after an hour or soThe second time the "cardless" card was declined at the theater's site and I was forced to purchase through movietickets.com (at higher advance fees)The third time, the card was declined and support directed me to go to a different theaterHowever, the film I planned to see was only at the one theaterThis service does not work - I want to cancel my subscription, get my accelerated approval fees returned, the balance of my subscription, and the unused 5th and 6th tickets I was not able to use before the end of the billing period

I have had nothing but awful customer service from Sinemia from day oneFrom signing up for my account (for which they signed me up for the wrong type and would not fix the mistake) until now I have had nothing but problems and confusion, and when I contact sinemia I either don't hear back or get a rude responseMultiple times I have asked for a refund and have not been granted oneIt is the most frustrating company I have ever dealt with

I'm extremely disappointed because not only has my monthly ticket been used for today, but because I cannot check in the theatre I believe you will charge my actual credit cardMostly, my plan for today has been ruined as I *** no longer go see a movie as I had planned toThere seems to be no way of contacting Sinemia outside of their support email address, so when there is an issue in the moment there is nobody to help sort it out

When I signed up for Sinemia, the cardless feature was advertised, but it also said I could expect a physical card in the mail in days They even have this listed in their FAQ still that you can expect your card in days Yet they are saying now that their service is only cardless and they don't provide a card
Cardless is great and all, but they don't tell you when you're signing up for the service that you're responsible for processing fees and you'll have to use third party websites to buy your movie ticketsThis is a shady business practice, and I want the physical card that I was expecting based off the information provided by your website when I signed up for this service

A complete and total scamAside from having a terrible interface and terrible customer service, they do very shady things like:
- Add a "service charge" to every ticket purchase AFTER you sign up for a membership
- Charge a "misuse fee" if you don't check in at a movie via their app (which doesn't work)
- Charge a "card fee" to get a card to pay for your tickets
