Membership price was changed by +$without any email indications, and without any indication it would be done, at the time of the initial sign up
When I signed up for membership (membership email: ***@hotmail.com), the price was Although it was a promo, they failed to mention that it was a timed promoAfter months they increased the fee by +$without sending any email notification regarding the changeWhen I cancelled my account and asked them to refund the excess charges, they said they never promised to keep the price the sameWhich is fine, if prior notification was given to me, and therefore I'd have had the chance to cancel before the price hike

I subscribed to Sinemia believing that I could use the subscription at a theater minutes from my house as their website indicated
I subscribed to sinemia believing that I could use the movie theater subscription service at the Batavia *** theater, as their website indicated The theater is minutes from my house Turns out, this theater is not honoring the Sinemia subscription service where movie tickets are booked through movieticket.com or atomtickets.comThis misrepresentation and their solution of driving to a theater minutes away does not fly with me
Additionally, I have sent several emails to their support email provided by their website over the previous months, but they never replied I only found out recently on reddit that they only respond to twitter and messenger(?!)Their customer service support is horrible
I have requested a refund and they will not comply

I never received the movie card that I ordered The business does not follow through or follow up on their practice
I ordered a movie card on 25May I was charged $on my American Express for a full year person/month membershipThe email that confirmed my purchase stated that they may have a delay up to days This delay was not listed on the website when I orderedI attempted three different times on their website to file a complaint to their customer service department Three separate times the website would not send my e-mail on their website The website would freeze
I then tried a few days later to file a grievance requesting a refund I have not received a response All I am requesting is a refund from the business

I love what Sinemia offers on paperHowever, the total lack of customer service is unbelievable and the dismissive and rude tone you get from their customer service when you get a response at all is jaw-droppingI have had so many problems with Sinemia, it's actually become weird
Most recently, toward the end of May I tried to check in and see the movie "Solo." At the ticket counter, my Sinemia card was DECLINEDWe tried twiceNo dice I did not see the movieThen when I looked at my Sinemia account online, it showed as having seen that movie and deducted one of my movies for the month
Moreover, Sinemia's big selling point is the ability to see premium moviesWhich they have recently changed to ONE premium movie per monthAnd now, they make it so you can only see one premium movie NOT per 30-day pay cycle, but days FROM THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A PREMIUM movieSo if your pay cycle beings on the fifth day of the month and you see your premium movie on the fourth day, you CANNOT see another premium movie until the fourth day of the following monthIf you're doing the math, you guessed it that means you would get ONE DAY to use that premium ticket and then it's gone at the end of the billing cycleIt's absolutely nuts
I have been writing to them about this over a month and even tweeted and facebooked and have been completely ignoredThe last time I did get a reply from them months ago, it was a terse non-answer that didn't even pretend to try to answer any of my questions or concerns
This company offers big things, but in reality, offers literally no customer service

I couldn't use the service and customer service is non-responsive Waiting for my refund, after cancellation
The company didn't send the member card as promisedMultiple emails sent to the customer service department went unansweredThe company-provided instructions to use the movie pass were unclear As a result, I could never use the service I've cancelled my membership, but have not received a refund Another email to customer support inquiring about my refund has been unanswered In fact, the only thing this company has done is process our credit card

The service I paid for rarely works and their customer service refuses to resolve the issues after repeated attempts
I signed up for Sinemia on October 6, for $for one year of serviceTheir claim is that you can use their cards to buy movie tickets at any movie theater at any timeThis is false, as their cards only work about half of the time (this is supported by hundreds of other complaints and reviews online)Also, they have a mandatory chefeature on the app that rarely works, which means they get to charge you a "misuse fee" that locks your account until you pay itWhen you contact the company's customer service (via their only option of e-mail), it takes weeks for them to respond and even then they don't resolve the issueThis company is a scam and I want the following refunded:

Additional fees charged with cardless service though no service fees were charged by ticket service provider
I subscribed to Sinemia.com end September with the below option :
Family plan, monthly movies per person, people fixed price for year, no initiation fee
Any Theater, No blackout date, Advance ticket option
Sinemia advertises carless and physical card option
Once started to use the service, I learned physical payment card is not an option, carless is mandatory and Sinemia forces customer to use advance ticket
Customer are unable to buy ticket at the movie theater and have to buy their ticket in advance only at preferred provider who most of the time charges processing fee
I manage to consistently buy my monthly ticket for persons at their preferred service provider Atom.com, using their cardless payment card to only buy the ticket costs, with $fees (facebook.com coupon), indicating in the buying process I am not paying any fee for this ser

I paid a years subscription They promised I could see two movies per month for only $and I could go to any theater in my area This is a lie - it's false They are limited to only a couple of movie ticket apps, most of which charge online fees On top of that, they add a processing fee on top of each ticket purchased This is wrong It makes the service not really worth it On top of everything else the process for getting a ticket is EXTREMELY convoluted They only have one place online to contact them They never respond (I've been sending multiple complaints.) I've asked for my money back and they will not respond It is a rip-off and other consumers should be warned of the advertising

I'll keep this brief as I can with everything bad about the service:
They promise you a card you use at theatresThey don't advertise they discontinued the card, forcing you to use the app and pay "convenience fees" when you book through Fandango, Atom, etc
The app is a horrible UI and experienceI won't go into detail here, but if you're not an app-savvy tech person, it will get annoying, fast
Bait and switchI'm an annual member, prepaid a year for around $for tickets a monthTwo months in, they began charging everyone an extra $"processing fee" every time I reserve a ticket, which I essentially already paid forNote this is on top of the "convenience" fees most of us already didn't know we'd be payingAfter contacting them on Twitter (which took days to figure out since their phone number is dead and their inbox returned as "full"), we were pointed to the terms and conditions where it left room for them to start charging me this fee
They didn't know I printed out the terms when I initially signed up, and they CHANGED the terms I signed up with without telling me, literally the part that says they can't change my terms in the middle of the plan! They refused to refund a cent even after I called them out on it...they simply don't care
I have to go through the hassle of a chargeback for my full membership through my credit card, and heed my warning, so you don't have to, as well

The service did not work for meI paid for the year up front to avoid the additional fee they charge if you don'tIt takes weeks for the service to be "activated" (if you pay another additional fee you *** shorten that wait) and once it was "activated" I tried several times and the payment would be declined by the ticket vendor with the exception of one matinee showing that the fees ended up totaling half of the ticket price so after the yearly charge the value is eliminatedFees that were not disclosed when I signed up and one of which was charged to my card despite me being unable to purchase the ticket due to the declining paymentThe company just does not respond to emails so no assistance was offered despite many attempts Finally I gave up and I disputed the charge with my bank since I did not receive the advertised service or responses to my emails asking for assistanceI then of course received a response from them in response to the charge-back and they stated the service was non-refundable but for an additional fee the could send me a physical card that may help with the issues I had in regards to the payment decliningI sent emails in total asking why I was having the issues with their service and why the felt a physical card would resolve those issues and no one responded to one of themI was unwilling to pay for the card since no one answered my emails because I fear it will just be more money spent with the company for no services in returnThey have since canceled my account (which would be fine if a refund was offered) and disputed my charge-back so in summary I spent $on a service that over months time I was able to purchase one ticket that cost them $and I paid a total of $in fees for the ticket out of pocket I *** not use the service now even if it decided to work so buyer bewareAlso keep in mind a lot of fees and processes were not disclosed when I originally signed up although I do believe they have since addressed that in response to lawsuitsVery unhappy and would not recommend to anyone under any circumstances and from the reviews below I am not alone

I have signed up for premium subscription on 1/08/and signed up accelerated service for immediate activation

Sinemia is a subscription service that for a fixed amount allows you to see a fixed number of movies in theatersI recently purchased a ticket through Sinemia to see a film called Mary Queen of Scots at the Angelika Film Center in New York, NYI had to cancel the ticket, and the movie theater kindly refunded the amount to SinemiaI was not present at the theater, but the manager did send me several screenshots that proved a refund had been issued to the card number given to me by SinemiaSinemia refused to reinstate that movie credit, stating that my proof was insufficient, though it was all I was able to obtain from the businessAlso, I was charged a "misuse fee" related to the same filmThis was because I did not "check in" upon arrival to a film for which I canceled the ticket (and for which Sinemia received a refund
