TERRIBLE - In short the app did NOT work properly I have made multiple attempts to get a legitimate response from this company for over two weeks I'm now having to dispute this with my credit card company because they will not issue a refund for service that was not adequately provided
Here's my experience:
1) I bought their lowest cost account as a "tester" account to ensure that I liked how Sinemia's service works before buying even more accounts for the rest of my family as holiday gifts
2) I paid the extra $advance activation for the ability to use the online app that day plus another fee for booking
3) I checked with the theater to find open seats (I had to check multiple different websites/apps to find a movie to reserve)
4) I did the ticket reservation with the Sinemia app - note that it took at least a dozen times before it would register my correct timeslotit kept reverting to midnight every time I would submit the correct movie time
5) I drove a separate car to the theater over an hour early to give myself plenty of time to make sure this worked correctly before the rest of my family arrived
5) I patiently waited until the check in window and followed the prompts to check in At this point in the process, the app should have issued a ticket code for the theater to scan - instead it asked for permission to access my camera functionality and social media accounts This was NOT part of the diagrammed check in process
6) I showed the app to the guys at the counter - they poked around with all the tabs, read the instructions, and settings, but after people attempting to help me, nobody could figure out how to issue my ticket to check me in because the steps indicated were not happening Major Glitches We went back multiple times through the step by step check in process diagram, but the photo function was not part of it, and the numbers that were supposed to display to be scanned by the theater, did NOT appear
7) We escalated this to the manager who then went into his accounting records to see if they received the funds for the movie - they had not He too spent nearly minutes trying to troubleshoot the app with me - he couldn't figure it out either
8) By this time the movie was close to starting and the kids had arrived The app had my reservation accounted for, so I could not start from scratch I had now created a line of impatient customers who were waiting for me to get my tickets There was no way to chat or call Sinemia in the moment to get help
9) After sitting down, I wrote the Sinemia, hoping that by the end of my movie there would be some level of support or a refund for my troubles I just got an auto responder telling me that I didn't check in on time Clearly I had tried in vain to check in but could not I later got a generic reply from "Jeremy" who did not seem to read my emailI got the same exact canned response after writing Sinemia a 2nd time
By the 3rd and 4th time I wrote the company requesting a refund I got NO RESPONSE
At the end of all this, I had spent over $for a disfunctional app, paid extra fees and had to buy full priced tickets to boot My family lost out on having this service as a Christmas gift
Other services like AMC Stubs provide far better customer experience, are reachable when things don't work and provide a reliable way to have a discount movie going experience Even the Moviepass *** functions better than Sinemia, although after all their new limitations, I do not recommend them either
Simply put, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! The app may not work as instructed and if you have problems, good luck ever getting customer service to help you in a manner that is timely or effective I have not got a single legitimate response that addresses my concerns in over weeks and I'm upset enough to continue sharing my horrible experience until I am FULLY REFUNDED It seems that they only reply if you escalate matters publicly into Revdex.com or Social Mediaand even then people claim that the response is not satisfactory
I've never written a negative review of any company on Revdex.com and so that should tell you something PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I've had bad customer experiences in the past, but SINEMIA IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!

This business is a total SCAMWhen I first joined their membership in August they advertised that a physical card will be delivered to me at no costs, after waiting months with no result I had to contact their customer services (which is horrible) several times via Twitter and emails and I was still told to wait patiently for it to arrive because the card processing takes longer due to increasing demand, which is a total lie, because months later they have officially changed the policy to charge anyone who wants a physical card for $So I guess there was no card being delivered to me at all when they said it wasWithout the card, my only option is to pay a processing fee of $every time using their App to book movie ticketsAgain, that fee was not disclosed when I first joinedAnd guess what, now they face a class action lawsuit against them for hidden fees and advertisement

I changed my membership from a two person to one person on their site and they charged me for both instead of refunding me
On 5/2/18, I signed up for a Sinemia subscription via their website The subscription was for two people and they charged me $ After signing up for the service, I had some questions and emailed them They never responded The next day (5/3/18), I went on the website and saw there was an option to change my current subscription for two people to a subscription for one person I clicked on that option and saw they immediately charged my credit card$(the correct amount for a one person subscription) They never refunded me for the two person subscription and I sent an email asking about the refund, but they never responded They also do not have a phone number for the public to call for questions I filed a dispute with my credit card company Sinemia's position is that it was a legitimate charge and are not willing to refund the money with the

I purchaed the "Sinemia for Two" annual plan for $on May 8, Sinemia messaged me that they had received my payment and that I would receive a physical Sinemia card in about daysBy May 31, no card had arrived, and I followed up with the company via their customer service email No response On June 21, Sinemia sent us a mass message saying that the "Sinemia Cardless" app was now availableSince we were promised a physical card by Sinemia, I considered this a violation of our purchase agreementIt is also the case that there are many, many complaints that the Sinemia app simply does not work It appears that a majority of customers will activate the Sinemia app, but then are unable to use it to access movie tickets The subscription clock keeps ticking while Sinemia effectively denies customers access to the product

I was never told about the additional $processing fee per ticket How can a company make a change without telling their customers?
How can I plan for more than one movie at a time?
Why does no one ever respond to my inquiries? I have tried contacting through the website, through email, and through Twitter

I wish I could give a zero star These guys are crooks I signed up for a year family plan and now every time I purchase a ticket they charge a $processing fee on top of the convience fee I pay So I am still paying over $every time I go see a movie per ticket The $just happened without any notice Absolute crooks Please stay away at all costs

The cardless feature rarely ever worksThen they added the processing fee without notification, which you may know about by now if you are reading thisAnd yes, it was without notification - if everybody using the service is blindsided by the same thing, that is probably a failure on the company's partHence the lawsuit

Because the app wouldn't let me che(twice now this has happened) my account is on hold and it won't let me watch any more movies until I pay a misuse fee that is more than the cost of the full price ticket! This is one of the most dishonest companies I have ever dealt withThey sign you up with their planBut once you start your plan, they will start adding all these hidden fees, giving no proof that they are incuring theseThey will say its covered in their terms, but you also have "You won't make change until next billing"Yet they don't understand their own terms and condition that you can't add a fee in middle of a subscriptionI was told initially that I would be getting a physical card they keep on delaying that saying, you would soon be able to order itThis is a useless service which I recommend staying away fromBetter give that money you won't get back to charity

Failure to provide promised services
I purchased Sinemia on May 31st, To this day, I have yet to receive my Sinemia card to go to the movie theater and purchase tickets under their service
I am forced to use an alternative "advanced purchase" on the mobile app which has the following issues plaguing it:
- The "virtual" credit card will not work at times
- The service is usable due to server issues
- I am unable to attend other movies if I use advanced screening to pre-order ticketsMeaning that if I use advanced screening to get a ticket a couple weeks out, I can't purchase another ticket until that two week period has passed

I have been using the service for months, this is my 4th month The first three months were okay, as I was waiting for my physical card in the mail (they said it could take up to months to be delivered) I have been using the "plan ahead" feature to buy tickets costing me an additional $per ticket that I don't want to pay, but figured it would be fine for just a few months I reached out to them twice last month (September 2018) through their website to see where the card was and they never responded I just wrote them again today ( 10/14/18) and will hope for a response I also went to buy tickets and was told I would be charged an additional $per ticket that I have never been charged before Between all of the fees I am being charged to use the service, there is almost no savings if I just drive to the theater and buy a ticket myself I will gladly update this review if I hear from sinemia as I had been relatively happy with the service up until this point

I have nothing but non stop problems with this company and cannot seem to get anything but an automatic replyNothing has been resolved for several months in the even closed my ticket without anything being resolvedI then went online to cancel the subscription but I was still charged for January.
I have been contacted when I say something on social media, but then I email them are they are still not replying to my emails and following through on their promise to refund meThey then asked me to update a review and leave a nicer one, but they still have done nothing to resolve my issues- in which I wasn't able to see movies(while standing at the movie theater trying to purchase for over an hour online but had technical difficulties) and they have the audacity to ask me to update my review
