When I signed up in July/August, I was informed I would be receiving a debit cardNo, not only did I not receive one, but they never told me I wouldn't receive oneI waited and waitedI contacted them and they never repliedI found out by searching online that I would never receive a cardI was upset because I have to pay $each time my son and I see a movie (we have the two tickets for two movies per month plan, paid for a year in advance)So that ended up being $a month on top of what I already paid forThat was bad enough and I resigned myself to itThen last month, the $processing fee showed upI lost it$a month extra nowThis was no longer the great dealI *** see movies for cheaper every Tuesday at my local theaterSo I'm livid, post several bad reviews and complaintsBut I'm elated when I receive an email stating they are bringing back the debit card (I was promised for free originally)Now it's $per person on the accountSo $for meWhile definitely not good, this sounds like a better deal than $a month and I almost bought the cards todayAlmostBut the tricky contract wording popped upAh yesThe terms that state they *** change the terms at any time, for any reason and you ***'t do anything about itWell, they do CHANGE the terms whenever they feel like itSo I ***'t buy the debit cards knowing they will probably cancel all the debit cards in three months and take all the money I paid for them, leaving me with an even worse deal than I'm already dealing withSo my options now are checking with my credit union on filing a charge back for fraudulent practices or signing this off as a loss...like I dropped my wallet with $160+ on the streetAnd telling everyone I know on FB, Twitter and Instagram to stay far away from SinemiaAnd I'm not going to lie, I'm a little worried my account will get locked out for posting this reviewI few people have posted that they have been completely blocked from using their Sinemia accounts for writing a true review and complainingDon't get fooled and if you have an account already, don't buy the debit card until they change the contract wordingI will never again spend money on something that *** change it's terms on a whim

Sinemia failed to provide me with physical card and is now forcing a $per transaction fee to use the cardless option
I purchased an entire year subscription in April The subscription was to include a physical card to be used to purchase movie tickets, and they promised to mail this in business daysSix weeks later, after receiving nothing, I emailed to ask on the status of the cardThey advised me there were longer than usual delays, but said the card was still going to be sentThey told me to activate Cardless in the meantime

Please avoid this company at all costsI've never felt the need to leave a negative review for a company until my experience with SinemiaThey're representatives are, or are forced to be, very dishonest and the company has incredibly questionable business practicesI signed up and paid for an annual plan in April, and since then, they have made changes to their service and terms and conditions in their favorUsers are now being charged a "processing fee" for every transaction which increases the cost of the service by quite a bit (30% in my own case, but varies depending on the plan you've signed up for), and we don't have any option but to pay this extra fee or not use the service and have our pre-paid amount go to wasteAdditionally, their customer service (when you're lucky for a reply) consists of repetitive general FAQ responses based on statements that go in circles until you are able to prove their dishonestyFor example, I requested an update for my physical card (already been a month wait) and asked if Sinemia was still sending them outFor one whole month, the customer service representative confirmed that they were still sending out physical cards but that he is unable to provide an estimated shipping time, then after I pointed some information out to him, he finally admitted that Sinemia stopped shipping out physical cards to members who signed up after June 21, I signed up before that date and still haven't received my card, and I read a reply on social media directly from Sinemia that the services is completely cardless nowMost recently, I received an e-mail stating that my account has been terminated because I was abusing the serviceThere was no warning, I ***'t log into my account anymore, and the claim was completely with no justification/proofApologies for this long-winded review, but I'd really like to warn other consumers thinking about signing up for this service to reconsider as I've personally (and I *** see I'm not alone) have had nothing but a frustrating experience with this company

Company provides movie passes at a monthly rate and charges full year with no option to cancel or a grace period
They offer a plastic membership card that they send by mail so you can use in person at the location of your choice to purchase movie tickets Since this is the only way to pick up tickets by discount, you would assume they send this card to you as soon as possible as the annual charge is implied when you open the account I did not receive this card, rendering the service useless I tried to reach customer service, no phone number only email, to which no answer I disputed the charge with my provider, they came back days later explaining the charge is valid I reached out to customer service with my complaint They reply that they need documents, which I provided only asking for this card and my login/password since it was disabled due to the dispute with credit card company

Their customer service is very difficult to work with They do not have a telephone option and they are very slow to respond to emails, and responses have little, if any helpful information The service is complicated to initiate and use I gifted the service to multiple family members of various ages and technical ability, and all were frustrated, and none were able to actually use the service Luckily, my family was unable to even use the service, so they did not run into the numerous hidden fees I have read about in other postings on this site They're marketing and product descriptions are misleading, at best For example, when I purchased the memberships, the website stated that members received a card (in my understanding, similar a pre-paid Visa) to be used to purchase movie tickets When the members attempted to initiate their accounts, they were not offered a card, only an app (again, not intuitive to use), and upon further, frustratingly difficult research, found that a simple card would cost an additional $ Unfortunately, it is a non-refundable purchase, according to the "terms of use" so the only way to rectify the situation was to dispute the charge with my credit card company When speaking with the call center assistant for my credit card company on the phone, I found that person was familiar with Simenia because she had multiple similar calls in the previous days!

After pre-paying for a year of Sinemia service, the service stopped working over two months ago Despite multiple attempts to resolve with Sinemia, they have still not corrected The result is that I've not received the service for which I've already paid for over two months now, so am left with no other recourse but to contact the Revdex.com for assistance The details of the situation are below I'd appreciate any support the Revdex.com *** provide in effectively and fairly resolving
9/1/18: I purchased Sinemia's movies per month plan by paying the annual $fee in advance as required by Sinemia
10/10/18: I was able to use the service as advertised until 10/10/when I used Sinemia to purchase a ticket to see a retrospective screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" Afterwards I tried to use the Sinemia app to "check-in" for the movie, but the app didn't offer "Psycho" as an option under "check-in" I don't know why the app malfunctioned, but perhaps it wasn't configured to recognize an older movie like "Psycho"
10/20/18: Sinemia emailed me that they had cancelled my account because I didn't checked in for the movie, and offered no recourse on how to resolve
10/21/18-To-Date: I made numerous attempts to contact Sinemia (first via email, then via Twitter) to clarify and resolve the situation, including providing a copy of my ticket stub and other supporting evidence that I had in fact attended this screening As with other complaints posted to the Revdex.com site, Sinemia's response was simply to site their policy and claim that I failed to check-in, so had "misused" my account In the various communications, has Sinemia continually ignored the evidence that it was the shortcomings of the Sinemia app that made it not possible to "check-in", and not some attempt at "misuse" on my part
All I seek is that I receive the service that I paid for To accomplish this, given that Sinemia hasn't provided the service for which I've paid for over two months, I respectfully request that my account be reinstated for months from the date in which it is again active and working Failing that, it would only be fair that Sinemia provide a pro-rated refund of $(10/of the annual fee that I initially paid, since it only worked for months)

Sinemia is a disingenuous bait and switch company with extra fee traps
We purchased two 1-year memberships which allowed us to watch movies per month at any theater of our choice The costs of the 1-year membership was a flat $per membership
About months into our membership, we were informed that Sinemia would start charging $ticketing processing fee for each movie to cover They say its to cover ticketing processing fees charges by 3rd party ticketing services like Atom and Fandango, but we're Arclight members and we don't pay ticketing fees Even though we let the system know that we pay $ticketing fees, it (Sinemia app) still makes you agree to pay the $fee in order to complete the transaction That's an extra $a year if we use our allotted movies per month So our 1-year membership is actually $219, not $as agreed to
If you fail to "check in" (I'm not sure why this is even necessary probably just a fee trap) at the theater they charge you an extortion fee of $to unblock the use of the advanced ticketing In their Term & Conditions they tell you they will charge you a fee, but not how much
If you want a physical card to make it easier to buy tickets in advance or at the theater, they charge you $for the little plastic credit card
If you have questions about their policies, they never respond
This all sounds like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen to me
