Mr. [redacted] electronically signed a rental-purchase agreement with Snap Finance on June 5, 2015. After signing the agreement, he obtained possession of the merchandise and began making biweekly payments of $[redacted]. agreement also, a copy of his agreement was emailed to him at the email address he provided Snap Finance during application. Snap Finance’s rental-purchase agreement is not a loan and does not charge interest. Mr. [redacted] is renting the merchandise he obtained from Mattress 1 One until the agreement completes, at which time he will obtain ownership. Snap Finance provides all customers options to obtain ownership early, a 100 Day Cash Payoff and Early Buyout Discount. Mr. [redacted] did not contact Snap Finance to set up payments to take advantage of the 100 Day Cash Payoff. However, he still has the option to purchase the merchandise early by paying 70% of the remaining balance on his agreement. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It took several days of calling and arguing to get anything accomplished. Even the dealer was frustrated with the amount of calls they received to get the same information about our transaction. It is over now thankfully. I will be sure to never use this company again.

Ms. [redacted] minimum payment is $[redacted] semimonthly and she did not arrange to adjust her payments or indicate that she wanted to take advantage of the 100 Day Cash Payoff Option. She can still take advantage of the Early Buyout Discount where she can get a 30% discount off the remaining balance. If she has any additional questions or concerns about her account or would like to take advantage of the Early Buyout Option, she can reach our customer service department at ###-###-####.

The email also provides customers important information regarding their payment information. We are sorry to hear about fees that she incurred from her financial institution. The group was very responsive and resolved my issue quickly. The adjustment was made to my SNAP account to show that I was in the 100 day same as cash program. I am waiting for the adjustment to reflect in my checking account for the amount overpaid to SNAP.

We are sorry to hear about your continued frustration. However, we would like to point out that we have not taken any additional payments from your account since we were made aware of your situation. We are sorry to hear the timing has not met your expectations. We have already initiated the surrender process. It is disappointing to hear these remarks from you, when we have been very accommodating to reach to a satisfactory resolution for you.

Before a customer submits an application they must read and consent to have Snap Finance pull a credit report.   Thanks to Mr. [redacted], we have alerted the merchant about their website and the language referencing “no credit check” and have requested them to make an immediate change. We are sorry to hear that Mr. [redacted] was denied. His application will not be overturned at this time, but he is welcome to apply again 90 days from the date of his last application.

We are sorry to hear about the experience Ms. [redacted] has had with Snap Finance. We have attempted multiple times by email and phone call to get ahold of Ms. [redacted] with no success. We are happy to provide her another copy of her agreement. Snap Finance offers 12-month lease-purchase agreements...

with a 100 Day Cash Payoff Option. Snap Finance lease-purchase agreements are a form of lease with the option to purchase. Ms. [redacted] does not obtain any ownership until all agreed upon payments have been made. If Ms. [redacted] has passed her 100 Day Cash Payoff Option she can still take advantage of our Early Purchase Option, where she only has to pay a percentage of the remaining payments to obtain ownership of the merchandise. Snap Finance does not offer any other type of loan product. We are happy to work with her on her account. She can contact us by ###-###-#### and asking for our Specialty Department.

I am rejecting this response because: on March 10th the day the payment was due I called and asked for the payoff amount and paid it in full.  There was no Miss payment. So nothing should have been reported at all.  Also they are showing that my balance started out as a thousand when it was only $434 and they threatened even for me to return the tires that I paid for in full so it does affect my credit and I didn't do anything wrong they were paid and I should have got a good start for that nothing more and that's what I deserve especially since they are saying I owed a thousand when I didn't finance that amount.   the whole thing is messed up and I want it all cleared up and on my credit report show that it was all paid in a timely matter in full on time like it was.
