At this time, I have been contacted directly by Spiegel LLC regarding complaint ID ***, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;" class="MsoNormal">Spiegel, LLC is still refusing to pay me all of the money owed to me They sent me a check for a portion of the refund due me I contacted them via email to let them know of the discrepancy and the amount owed minus shipping and handling An automatic email shortly followed stating they were opening a case, however, I have yet to hear from them I have not cashed the check they sent me Following is the email I sent to them on March **, 2014:
Good evening,
First off, let me say thank you for check #***for $for order number ***####, however, that is not the full amount that you owe me. I made two (2) separate orders. You only refunded me for one (1). I returned a portion of the second order to you, order number ***#### / invoice number **####. A total of $was charged to my credit card. I have copied and pasted the order confirmation below. I returned one pair of those pants, the: *** Pant by Newport News $
I realize you are not refunding the shipping and handling. I just want what's owed to me. I have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com in your area. I will gladly respond to them and say that it is closed and you have rectified the situation once I get the remainder of my money. I will forward them a copy of this email as well. This is taking entirely too long. This used to be a respectable company. I have been asking you guys for my refund since December 2013. Below is your return policy that I copied and pasted from your website:

I have done what you asked me to do, is it so hard for you to do what your policy says? I previously wrote to you regarding this order with all the other orders. You were originally notified of this order December ***, when you took receipt of the merchandise and again on Wednesday, February ***, (You can scroll down and see my original message). By my estimation you still owe me $(minus shipping and handling and I kept one pair of the pants and returned one pair). Please let me know when I should be receiving the remainder of my money.

This was dated on April *. At this time I have not received any correspondences back or resolution. I have two refunds which I have not received. This whole ordeal has taken over two months to have my refund forwarded back to my account
This company should not be allowed to operate this way. Not only do they not have a contact number where customers can contact them but they do not readily refund customers what is rightfully due to them. Even with your involvement in this matter they still continue to be non compliant in resolving issues pertaining to refund. I have sent the numerous complaints on individuals with matters similar to mine. I just wished I was aware when placing these orders about how Spiegel did business
I am requesting my total refund in addition to my shipping and handling costs I incurred when sending the items back. They should not be allowed to charge customers twice for these costs. I paid to have both items shipped and paid to ship them back.
I have never had to fight to have money refunded back to me, as most online companies refund with no hesitation, and also provide a telephone number in the event of questions needing a quick reply
I hope that you will please act on my behalf, as I am now unemployed and in real need of my refund

I have received a full refund it took 7 months and a letter to consumer affairs and several certified letters to Spiegel and two filings with Revdex.com

[redacted]to [redacted]Hello,Just wanted an update to this email thread.  I still have not received my refund to my account.  Most companies take less than a week and looking at the reviews, Spiegel takes months!  I am not sure what the problem is, but I have been more than patient.  Has a refund been credits?  If so, when will I see it on my account?  If its easier, just send a check!
