attention.  We have investigated this matter, and our records indicate that we attempted to reach out to this customer on multiple occasions to get her loan payments back on track. The loan was sold to a debt buyer unaffiliated with Spotloan upon default. Although Spotloan is not responsible for the actions of the debt buyer, Spotloan will investigate and share the concerns of the customer directly with the debt buyer. Spotloan takes all customer complaints seriously, and we have reached out to this customer to address her concerns.

Spotloan takes fraud and identity theft very seriously, and we appreciate this customer bringing his concerns to our attention. As soon as we were informed of this potential fraud case, we investigated the situation as per normal procedure....


We found that all the loan account and personal information matched the information provided by the customer. When we attempted to verify the customer's bank account with a Bank of America representative, the representative confirmed that we had the customer's correct bank account and personal information. The representative also confirmed that there was a deposit and several payments drawn from that account.
We received a police report filed by the customer, but neither Spotloan nor Bank of America was mentioned in it and thus, it was not applicable.
Spotloan takes fraud and identity theft very seriously, but in the absence of further evidence from the customer, we are unable to verify the customer's allegations of fraud at this time.

Please see attached as I respond to the factual misrepresentations and negligence on the part of Spotloan. Spotloan seems to not take identity theft seriously and are doing the bare minimum to confirm my ID theft in an effort to collect on a loan I never took out. This is reprehensible.

Following this customer's initial outreach to us, this account has been the subject of a continuing fraud investigation by Spotloan.
We have worked with Bank of America's fraud department to explore this matter further, and have now confirmed that this was a legitimate case of fraud.
Spotloan takes fraud and identity theft very seriously, and we appreciate the customer's patience while we investigated this matter. We thank the customer for bringing this matter to our attention and can confirm that he has been released from all terms and responsibilities from this loan.

I have used them before with no issue so I am really glad they did the right thing for me and I feel it is fair: Spotloan has received a copy of the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com. We are sorry for your hardship, and sincerely apologize for the upsetting experience. Due to your unfortunate circumstances, we are willing to consider your loan paid in full. We understand that tough times can happen to anyone, and Spotloan strives to be fair and transparent throughout the loan process. Spotloan makes every effort to assure that all applicants understand exactly how much their loan is going to cost before they agree to accept the loan. At the time you applied for your Spotloan, we were up-front and transparent about the loan terms, including interest, payment amount and methods, and the duration of the loan. Our records indicate that on April 26, 2016, you received $800 in your bank account from Spotloan in exchange for your promise to repay that amount plus interest over your chosen loan term of eight months. At the time you accepted the lo an, you received and agreed to the complete terms and conditions of the loan, including a payment schedule and breakdown of principal and interest. This payment schedule assumed you would make all of your payments on time. We are happy to work with you to address your concerns. We would like to offer our sincerest apologies to the customer. Upon deeper investigation, it appears that our system did not pull the payments he mentioned. Because of the mismanagement on his account, we are buying the loan back and settling the account.

I am rejecting this response because:
I will not pay 30% interest.  These loans are illegal in the state of NJ.

Our records indicate that on August 3, 2015, this customer sought a loan of $700 from Spotloan. The customer was given the opportunity to review the loan terms, including interest, duration, payment amount and payment schedule. This was completed prior to the customer electronically signing the loan agreement.
We have contacted the customer directly to address her concerns.

We have received the response from Ms. [redacted] and strive to provide continuing good customer service. As of today, May 9, 2017, according to our records, a Spotloan agent and Ms. [redacted] came to an amiable agreement on taking care of Ms. [redacted]'s loan. We appreciate her feedback and are glad to be able to assist in taking care of her loan.
