Sprint Now Part of T-Mobile Reviews (%countItem)

Been a Sprint PCS customer for over 20 yrs. Last year they started requiring you to have a special passcode sent to your cell phone before you could login to your account. Not just your usual password and user name but an additional passcode that you were required to have each time you logged into your Sprint account.
This is their new security protocol.
On the customer service chat line I was told this would only be a onetime requirement each time you tried to login from a new device. But that was wrong. Even on the same device it requires a new passcode to log in. This, to me is ridiculous, even my bank doesn't require that.
All in all, I think they are an incompetent company at several levels.
Highly NOT RECOMMENDED.

I've wasted a cumulative 40-hour work week on the phone with this company-- to no avail. I am despondent at this point and cannot believe they have employed such bad-faith abuse of the system.

If I could give Negative stars to Sprint, I would. I am writing this on behalf of my fiance Melissa M. Who has been a long time customer of Sprint. Melissa had damaged her phone and requested a replacement from Sprint, which had been denied although she had insurance coverage. After putting in another request for the replacement phone, she was finally approved for it, and set up the replacement charge in such a way so that the charge would be spaced out amongst her monthly bills, as she could not afford the replacement phone in one sum. Sprint charged her upfront a total of 460 dollars for the replacement and did not notify her, which sent her account into overdraft and incurred 35 dollars worth of overdraft fees. They violated the agreement of spacing out the payments as an addition to the regular monthly charges. When Melissa called she requested a refund for the money minus the charges agreed to for the month. A claim was processed for the request and she was told a refund would occur 3-7 business days later. On Wednesday of the next week she had checked her bank account and had not received the refund. When she called Sprint they notified her that her refund was cancelled...and she was not notified...They have violated two agreed terms with a customer, and have caused nearly 70 dollars of fees to incur to my fiance. Upon speaking to the service rep (who was incredibly uncaring and apathetic) she was told to fax a copy of her bank statement over as proof that she did not receive the refund so that they could process a new one. Needless to say Sprint has shown a complete apathetic view and disregard for a customer's well being and has no cares of violating company and customer agreed terms. Luckily for us a good friend of ours has agreed to provide us with legal council and pursue action against Sprint. Needless to say she will be switching companies.

When I see that Sprint has 470 negative reviews to their 10 positive reviews and almost 30,000 total customer complaints, I am no longer surprised.
If you have another option instead of Sprint, take it.
I have spent 2 months trying to get a solution to a problem. I have literally - not exaggerating - spent easily over 20 hours (ten alone on 8/28) trying to fix a customer service issue. I've been transferred from department to department for two months just for the next department to not uphold and honor the promise of the department before them.
Every time I get transferred, I have to explain the entire process over to the next person, and then I get a completely different answer.
I have never had such horrible customer service in my entire life. The only person who ever seems to have an answer to my issue has to transfer me, and then that person says that the first one's resolution "can't be done" and "I'm sorry that they told you this, but..."
Their final resolution? "Just pay it (something I should not be charged for) and move on".
This is a freaking game. Once these issues are resolved, I'm turning in my five phones and never looking back. Absolutely disgusting how I have been treated. If I could give zero or less stars on this review, it still would be more than they deserve.
