Dear Darren [redacted]. Target Financial... I am so sadden to learn after many and many of attempts to have a higher credit limit on my target red card and no limit increase, And not even a phone call from a live person that works for cooperate.
My income was updated back in August of 2015 and in the short time I have had the account in question I have made all payments on time, and today 11/20/2015 I even have paid off the entire balance in full of $238.00 and have told myself that My Target red card will be put in the back of my Wallette and not used until I see a more generous credit limit, the current limit on the account is a limit for a teenager in my opinion not a fifty year old man with a good credit bureau, and a good fico credit score, and very very established credit accounts on my credit bureaus, and very low dti. And good income. I could see this $300.00 limit for a teenager or someone that is trying to establish or reestablish credit. Please keep in mind Darren if you continue to drive good credit experienced people like me with good established credit, and good fico scores and good income away, that people will loose faith in target and its credit program. Also keep in mind Darren that if you don't lend people money that are worthy of it, than Target don't make money, I will be overnighting a very detailed letter and copy of my credit reports to the ceo of this Target cooperation for review on this matter Darren. And trust me when this man sees my excellent credit and very established credit on my bureaus, and the excellent way I handled the red card I believe he will not agree with your position, at least I hope not. Daren you are turning people with excellent credit and good income away. I don't need Target,, Target needs me.

We just purchased the tablet once and it was for $292.01 and when we returned it the recipe showed $302.09. When we notice the difference in the amount we contacted the target store and we were told that they are not sure why the amount is different. We also told them that we never got the money back in our account we were told to wait for 14 days. After 14 day we contacted the store and told that money was send and cleared from target side and we need to contact bank of America to see why it is not showing in our account. After going between Bank of America and Target store couple of times, we were told that since we purchased the tablet with my husbands red card and returned with mine, the money went so someone else (I thought that my husband and my card is under same account and it wouldn't create any issue, but now it seems like we lost our money). Bank of America is saying they can not help we talk to the manager in Target store they told us they can not do anything, we need to call red card, we contacted red card several time and they seem to be not able to help either. I am not sure why the red card system is so weak and vulnerable that ended up giving money to someone else for our return. The only mistake we made it we purchase with one card and returned with another (under same account), we were not even aware of that until all this happened. It is very frustrating!!!

We're sorry for your frustration with late fees on your account. We have reviewed our records and see your account had a zero balance for your May 2015 statement. There was a charge of $16.54 made on your account on June 3rd. Because of this charge a payment of $16.54 was due on your account by July 1st. Your July statement had a $6.83 charge made on June 20th, and a $1.00 interest charge, bringing your balance to $24.37. A payment of $24.37 was due on your account by August 1st. Another interest charge of $1.00 was assessed on your August statement making the total balance $25.37 with $25.37 due by September 1st.
No payments were received for your July, August, or September statements. Because of this your September statement reflects a late fee of $25.37 and a $1.00 interest charge bringing the balance to $51.74. Since we also did not receive a payment from you by October 1st, another late fee of $35.00 was added giving you a current balance owed of $86.74. At this time a total amount of $87.81 is due on your account by November 1st.
While we sympathize with your situation, we're not able to credit any fees at this time because the fees were assessed per the terms of your account agreement and were not a result of Target error. We're sorry for any disappointment or frustration this may cause but we must remain consistent in our policies in fairness to all of our accountholders. I did not authorize anyone at my bank to place a stop payment on anything. I asked my bank for an explanation as to why the payment I made back in December (the payment was for $25) didn't get withdrawn from my account until 1 month later and neither Target nor my bank could answer the question. The bank blamed Target and vise versa. The call to the bank about the December payment was made in the early part of January 2016, which doesn't explain then why the $84 went thru since this was made after my call to the bank in early January. If what Target is saying about the stop payment is true then I would think the $84 payment would have been returned by the bank as well.

Our store terminals are set up for chip and pin or magnetic stripe transactions only. Store team members are not able to key in account numbers to process a payment for a transaction. They also do not have the capability to look up an account. We're sorry but we are not able to offer the 5% discount towards purchases made on a third party card.

We have reviewed your account and see that on your statement dated May 10, 2015, there was a new balance of $60.13. The balance consisted of a $20.56 merchandise return made on April 13, 2015, a purchase of $10.00 made on April 14, 2015, and a $70.69 purchase on April 22, 2015. Your card was present and used for each of these transactions. Copies of the receipts are included for your review. If you feel these transactions were fraudulently made on your account, please contact us at (800) [redacted].
Please know that under the terms of your Credit Card Agreement, a minimum payment amount is due each month. This payment is due on or before the same day of the month otherwise; a late fee and interest charges may be assessed to an account. Because we did not receive a payment by your June 7th due date, a $25.00 late fee and $1.24 interest charge were assessed.
We received your $86.37 payment on July 1, 2015 which brought your account to a zero balance. As a guest courtesy we've credited the $25.00 late fee assessed on June 7, 2015. This created a $25.00 credit balance which was sent to you in a separate mailing.
At your request the account was permanently closed on June 30, 2015. We're sorry to hear that this has affected your relationship with Target but we hope to see you in our stores again in the future.

Please remember that under the terms of your Credit Card Agreement, a minimum payment amount is due each month. This payment is due on or before the same day of the month listed on your monthly billing statements; otherwise, a late fee and interest charges may be assessed to the account.
On your statement dated April 4, 2015 there were new charges of $110.57. A payment of $20.00 was received on April 20, 2015 leaving a statement balance of $90.57. A minimum payment of $25.00 was due by May 1, 2015. However, the next payment we received was not until $94.74 which was made on June 5, 2015. As a result, late fees and interest charges were assessed.
Our records indicate you have been enrolled in our online account management system since 2009 and enrolled in online only statements since October 23, 2013. Statement alerts were sent to you via your email account [email protected] each month. This email address was updated to [redacted]@GMAIL.COM on June 5, 2015.
As a guest courtesy, we have removed the remaining late fee and interest balance of $87.40. This has created a credit balance on your account which will be sent to you in a separate mailing.
Your account was permanently closed at your request on July 7, 2015 but you are able to reapply in store or online at target.com/redcard if you are interested in a new card.
