For example, if your total purchase was for $100.00 and there was a $20.00 gift card with purchase, the transaction would be split into one charge of $80.00 and another charge of $20.00. The reason this is done is if you were to return the item, your refund would be less than the total purchase amount to account for the free gift card you received. However, please be assured that we are not charging you extra for receiving this gift card.

Please remember that under the terms of your Credit Card Agreement, a minimum payment amount is due each month. This payment is due on or before the same day of the month listed on your monthly billing statements; otherwise, a late fee and interest charges may be assessed to the account.
On your statement dated October 26, 2015 there were new purchases totaling $90.31, with a minimum payment of $25.00 due by November 23, 2015. We received a $90.31 payment on November 25, 2015. However, because this was received after your due date, a late fee and interest charge were assessed to your account.

This is not what I got from the young lady that I talked. She was clearly rude from the beginning. Never realized that payment was late. Nothing mentioned about the girl screaming at me or the worst customer service ever. Nothing said to her? No discipline ? I work I customer service and am not trying to get her fired. Didn't anyone listen to the recording of our conversation? Can't believe it is all put on me and not a word about discipline!

Late fees were added to your September, October, November, and December 2015, and January 2016 statements because we did not receive your minimum payment in full by your due date. We see that one of our phone representatives spoke with you on January 15, 2016. During that call you stated you would make a $20.00 payment at the store on January 16th, however, we have not received any payments towards your balance.
Our records do not show that your card or any of your statements were returned to us by the USPS. We sent them to the billing address you provided, which is the same address you provided in your correspondence to the Revdex.com. Please contact us at (888) 755-5856 to get a replacement card or copies of your statements.
As a courtesy we've removed all fees from the months outlined above. You'll see credits totaling $174.77 on your next billing statement. We've also sent a request to the credit bureaus asking they remove the record of late payments from your account for these same months. Please note the credit bureaus may take up to 60 days to update their records accordingly.

The representative did not address the fact that there was no previous balance on my account and that I was not made aware of the late charge by telephone call or mail. She stated that I had paid the balance late on other occasions. That is true. Those late payments were payed before they became 30 days late. It is not uncommon for people to pay bills a bit late. That does not show evidence that I was aware that there was a late charge on the bill at all. That shows that I paid d the bill without being 30 days late in the past and paid the late charge. I was unaware of the charge which makes it impossible to pay something that I did not know about. Target made no effort to contact me regarding this bill. I was not given a chance to pay this charge. They also claim that it would be unfair to other customers to remove this item from my account. It is not federal law to remove items because of a mistake or miscommunication. There is no reason why Target would be so uncooperative unless they would like to lose a very good customer by insisting that they have to leave this mark on my credit. I am sure Target would like that I and millions of other customers continue to use their credit cards. I will not close this account because this would negatively affect my credit rating but I will not use it again. I will not shop at target again. I know I am just one small person and that Target is such a big entity but their actions are affecting me on a personal level. I have no other late charges on my credit report from the 15-20 accounts that are listed. I am a good customer and I do not deserve to be treated like this. Please Target, reconsider. I have done nothing wrong and do not deserve this late payment to be on my credit report.

A payment made after your due date is considered late. Because these fees were added per the terms of your credit card agreement, and are not a result of Target error, we're not able to remove them.

This is exactly the response the person gave me on the account mail correspondences. It's very disappointing that you neglect to care that your system works properly. Like I said in the complaint, and to the other person, even when I haven't made an early payment, the payment and due date do NOT show up on my bill until the day it is due. If an alert is sent out telling me there is a payment due, the account should reflect that, THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT OF THE ALERT. If you aren't going to make your system function properly and work like any other company's system then you should put a disclaimer in the account agreement. This is an absolute joke that I would just have to assume the date and amount. If my payment amount due says $0 and my due date shows NO date, I should not have to go into a statement to verify this. Fix your system and stop screwing people over. I have always liked target and even worked at target when I was younger. This is an absolute joke and I will NEVER shop at target again or use the redcard again and the account will be closed when it's paid off. Despicable!

Our records indicate you opened the Target Credit CardTM on August 3, 2015. On your statement dated October 25, 2015, there were new purchases of $56.80 with a minimum due payment of $25.00 by November 22, 2015. We didn't receive a payment on your account until a $56.80 payment was received on January 8, 2016.
We see that you enrolled in our online REDcardTM Account Management system on August 31, 2015 and chose paperless statement delivery. Notifications were sent to [email protected] each month letting you know a statement was ready to be viewed. Per your request, alerts were also sent to this email address 10 days prior to your due date. In addition, an alert was sent on November 26, 2015 letting you know your account was past due.
Your Target Credit Card was closed at your request on January 2, 2016. As a guest courtesy, we have credited $64.54 in fees and interest, bringing your account to a zero balance.

Our records show that on November 30, 2015, your Target Debit CardTM was debited the amount of $78.91 as a result of you disputing this transaction with your bank. This amount was credited to your checking account by your bank but it created a balance on your Target Debit Card account.
In addition, on February 11, 2016, we processed a credit to your checking account in the amount of $34.99 for an item that was left at the Target store. However, a balance still remained on your Target Debit Card for merchandise that you purchased but we did not receive payment for.
We can see that a payment arrangement was set up on February 11, 2016 for the balance of 78.91. After that payment your Target account no longer has a balance.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was already told this already, I have already updated my income numerous times over the past year and are continuously told the same thing. I would like to know when my account was reviewed for an increase? What factors are the issue as to why my limit is not being increased? As a consumer I have the RIGHT To know what needs to be done to increase credit limits and why I am being denied a credit increase. I have not received anything in the mail because my account is not being reviewed. This is a known issue with target and there are several complaints about target not increasing credit limits. I have great credit and I pay this card on time every month! And I utilize the card. this card is no help to me the consumer so I will be cancelling it.

Thanks for looking into the issue and responding back. However I do not agree with the resolution for the following reason
1. I did not made the additional payment but it was a payment due amount after the target card statment was generated from my new bank account using online banking .
2. I am using several other credit cards and all of them have a auto pay set up but in the event when I make the payment myself after the credit card or store card statments are generated, then despite having set auto pay they never debit my bank again.
3. It is very disappointing from customer point of view, when a customer already made the statment due amount even well before the store would have debited the bank account, why the business is again trying to debit. It is definitely a system issue and should be rectified and should not happen when the balance is already paid why it should be debited again.
4. I am not sure what disclosure you are referring to, but this is not the way other card works and would appreciate target to relook into the matter and as a curtesy , credit me back $21.23 which was charged to me.

Please also know that while store team members are able to guide you through the application process for a new REDcardTM account, they do not have access to enroll guests in Manage My REDcardTM.
Our records indicate that your account was opened on February 3, 2013. On September 19, 2013 you enrolled in Manage My REDcardTM online and elected to receive online only statements. Alerts advising you that your statement was ready to be viewed were sent to the email address of [email protected], which was provided to us on the date you enrolled in online only statements. We sent email alerts to this email address and we received timely payments until your March 2015 statement. Because we did not receive a full minimum payment for the months of March and April, late fees and interest charges were assessed in accordance with the terms of your account agreement.
Your statement delivery method was changed on May 19th to receiving both paper and online statements. The email address on your account was also updated on June 3rd to: [redacted]@verizon.net. You'll receive paper statements starting with your July 2015 statement. However, you can continue to view your statements online through Manage My REDcard or call us at (888)[redacted] anytime to find out your minimum payment due amount.
We were able to credit the finance charges that were assessed on your March, April and May statements. Those credits of $1.20, $1.00 and $1.40 posted to your account on May 28th. In March of 2015 when I visited the Target store in Malvern I stopped at the customer service desk to pay the bill and the representative encouraged me to change my target account. We agreed to do so, but he never asked me or verified with me my current email address. I am very disappointed with Target's policy and lack of communication about the account. This appears to be nothing more than a way to generate more revenue and I feel like the victim. If nothing can be done about this, I intend to close my Target account. There must be a better way for them to improve their bottom line.
