Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. But I am sad it took so long and had to waste so much time to get this issue resolved.
Hello [redacted], Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns. We documented the experience and available information about this purchase and shared it with our Buyers for further...
review and follow up to ensure quality. Ms. [redacted] was sent a GiftCard to reimburse her for the product. As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target at ###-###-#### and reference case number [redacted]. Sincerely, Nancy The Target Team www.target.com
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. I do apologize for my confusion. I listed this mixer using all the information Mr. [redacted] provided, but I understand it was not the same model that he was interested in purchasing. For my error, I’m sending Mr. [redacted] a $5 GiftCard to his email address. Our holiday season deals go fast, and inventory may run out quickly, both online and in stores. I see that Mr. [redacted] has placed an order 9[redacted]967 for his preferred mixer, and as long as this order remains active, it will keep him in line to receive the item when stock is replenished. As it turns out we aren't able to offer any other options for this situation. Target considers this matter closed. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.Sincerely, RachelTarget.com Executive Officeswww.target.com
I am rejecting this response because:
I have spoken with a representative at my bank-they have stated that this is not a matter that has to do with them and the company needs to release the funds. Also, now you're saying it could take up to 30 days to release the funds because of the type of credit card I have? Yesterday the customer service representative, Marco, said it could take up to a week-which is already too long for my family to wait. I have ordered off of Target.com in the past. Quite a lot actually for the holidays and I have never had this happen with your company. So to state that this is your policy is not accurate. If this was your policy then I can promise you that no one would be ordering via your website. I have already spread the word about this incident-asking people if they have had this happen-and everyone agrees that if this is your policy as you state then they will never make a purchase using your website and have thanked me for letting them know that this is your policy. I am very disappointed by how this matter is being handled. I did not do anything wrong. I could have chosen multiple other companies to order the items from-but I chose Target. I have always had a great experience with your company and respect your values. However, I cannot stand by a company that would do this to this to their customers. This is not a matter of $5. This is a matter of feeding my family. I will no longer be supporting Target if the situation is not properly rectified-I am not asking for anything other than my money back that was double charged (and by the way-I am aware that it is not fully charged-but when it is pending it is still being withheld and cannot be used). I will ensure that people are aware of not only how online shopping apparently works now...but how the customer service works now as well with your company.
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns.I’ll be sharing the information the guest provided directly with my senior leadership team. As I stated in my previous email the BOGO free video game offer was an in-store promotion. Target store promotions can’t be stacked with a promotion on Target.com. If he wants to take advantage of the Target.com promotional price he’ll need to place an order for that item.As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.
I am rejecting this response because:thank you for the answer$25 off for next online purchase of $100 is not worthwhile due to customs regulations in Israel In addition, when I tried to buy the chair again I received the following message:"This item exceeds the maximum weight or size limit for products shipping to this country"I want the stuff that I originally ordered with free shipping. I'm willing to wait a little longer, if need be. I've been a long time customer of Target whenever I visit my family in the United States. When I spoke to someone at Customer Service, their explanation was someone hit Enter when they weren't supposed to and that seems a lot different from the answer I'm getting now
I am rejecting this response because:
Not having a purchase history to review is the definition of a "non-receipted return or exchange". Their promise on the back of millions of receipts clearly states "We promise to attempt a return on EVERY item purchased in our stores or on Target.com by scanning your receipt or packing slip, offering receipt look-up* OR A NON-RECEIPTED RETURN OR EXCHANGE WITH A VALID FOR OF IDENTIFICATION" (Capital emphasis added). It very clearly shows the non-receipted, non-documented, non-looked-up exchange or return is an alternative to scanning the receipt or packing slip or offering receipt look-up. If they were able to look up the receipts, we would have the receipts, and the entire discussion about non-receipted exchanges or returns would be moot. Either offer non-receipted exchanges/returns, or dont promise to attempt to do so on "EVERY ITEM PURCHASED IN YOUR STORES".
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].I understand that [redacted] had a difficult time getting an immediate resolution for her issue and I’m sorry to hear that although her physical gift card was shipped she wouldn’t receive it due to USPS delivery restrictions in her area....
We have worked with our fulfillment center to understand what went wrong and have since corrected the issue on our end. I’m happy to hear she received the egift card replacement and was able to purchase a new physical gift card in store. As a token of appreciation for your loyalty, we’ve sent a $50 Target eGiftCard that will arrive in a separate email, shortly after you receive this response. I understand that our apologies may not completely eliminate your frustration, but I hope you will continue shopping with us and that we provide you with the great service that you deserve in the future. We always want to provide our guests with a consistent Target branded experience and appreciate the time you took to let us know about yours. Sincerely, GiftCard OperationsCase [redacted]
Thanks for contacting us on behalf of our guest [redacted]. I’m sorry to hear about the disappointment this online experience caused our guest. I realize the pricing on Target.com changes once the item was placed into the shopping cart. This normally happens when the sale price of an item has...
changed or is no longer available. We try to keep our website as accurate as possible but we may experience lags in uploading updates throughout the site. With that being said, the price provided during checkout is the accurate price. Since this is a busy time of the year, we’ve offered several different promotions for this same item. I realize he wasn’t able to take advantage of the previous sales but all promotions are only valid during the time-frame advertised. Currently, the Power-Beat Earphones are $159.99 and the purchase comes with a $25 Target GiftCard. I appreciate the time he’s taken to share his concerns and I’m sorry we’re unable to provide the resolution he’s looking for. As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####. Sincerely, Shanetra Target.com Guest Services www.target.com
I am rejecting this response because:I did in fact purchase the plan and told the cashier to do so, If she in fact did not put the requested plan into the register it is not my fault. I have a witness to the purchase and in fact asked for the plan like I always do in these purchases. Please exchange this tv for the same tv or we can go to court for the item. Thanks[redacted]

Please accept my sincere apology for any disappointment.I’m sorry our team members at the Sacramento Riverside Target store weren’t able to return your TV. I understand a used Emerson TV is being presented for return wasn’t sold by Target and you state this is the TV purchased in the Vizio 60” Plasma TV box from Target on May 1, 2016. Per our conversation to review your experience further the serial numbers on the box and the TV were to be provided. We didn't received the serial numbers in your email response.I have included some helpful information about Target’s return policy. We promise to attempt a return on every item purchased in our stores or on Target.com by scanning your receipt or packing slip, offering receipt look-up, or processing a non-receipted return or exchange using a valid government-issued photo ID.With a valid receipt, packaging and accessories, we’ll issue a full refund for most new, unused or defective items returned within 90 days of purchase. Some items have a modified return policy that is less than 90 days. For example, all electronics and entertainment items have a 30 day return policy. Please note the “return by” date listed under specific items on the packing slip or receipt. All gift cards, prepaid music, game and phone cards cannot be returned. For more questions about our return policy, visitwww.target.com/returns. Hello [redacted],
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted].
Upon receipt of your contact, we reached our guest to address their concerns. The guest returned to the Davie Target and was offered an accommodation for...

Thanks for contacting Target regarding the experience of our guest [redacted]. I have attempted to reach [redacted] by phone this morning around 9:45 AM CST, and was able to leave a voicemail. The replacement treadmill was ordered on 6/27/16. Based on the information I have received from Jasmine at our shipping company EFW, [redacted] can expect to receive a call between 7/1/16 and 7/5/16 to schedule delivery. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####.
I am rejecting this response because:
First, there is a picture of the first phone call I made to target about this issue attached. I have also made dozens more phone calls and the issue was never resolved. Still this response does not address my issue rather it just is about something that has nothing to do with the current problem. I have not been refunded for the iPad mini [redacted]. Also my complaint requests that a corporate manager call me, that has not been done and This issue is not resolved until I receive that call. A $20 gift card is not suffice compensation for this matter as I also have not been refunded for the order. If you re read everything I wrote the issue will be easier for you to understand.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/01/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The problem I had with this issue is THEIR website directs the customer to the local store to purchase the item. Had they listed a caveat on the website that the price of $42.70 was not the store price, then that would be fine. They listed the item for sale on the website and then directed the customer to the store to purchase the item. When the website says $42.70 and directs the customer to the local store to purchase, then the customer should have a reasonable expectation that following THEIR directions is the way to make this purchase at THEIR price listed on THEIR page according to THEIR directions. Instead, I get to the store and the item is over $140. The local store management and target customer service all state that they can not price match THEIR own prices, because in the exclusions they do not price match clearance items. I can understand not price matching clearance items with their competitors, but THEIR refusal to match the price on THEIR products in THEIR stores leaves me dumbfounded. So the resolution is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to purchase this product from Target according to THEIR instructions at the advertised price. Target has repeatedly told me that Target.com and the Target store are really two separate entities. If that is the case, then there should be a real separation between the stores and online sales. I'm thinking that profits from Target.com and the Target stores all go to Target Corporation, so I'm not really convinced of the two separate entries gambit. I am convinced that Target really doesn't care, and their response to my complaint is very much a non-response. What is Target doing to fix the disparity between on-line sales and prices when the on-line directions are to purchase the item in the store? Seeing as the store only had ONE of this item, how much money has now been wasted denying a purchase when, from a business perspective, it would have been much better practice to correct the problem by honoring their price and keeping the customer happy? This obviously is NOT an isolated incident, so how many other customers have fallen prey to this scam? In essence, their response to this complaint is very much, "We don't care, Target has a customer base such that your complaint is essentially background noise. Thanks and have a nice day."
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/01/12) */
Hello Mr. [redacted],
Thanks for taking the time to share your additional comments with us. Again, I am sorry for the disappointment and frustration this situation might have caused you. I understand you are unable to buy the advertised Braun Shaver Men's Series 3-350cc System online because it is not available and our stores can't honor the price.
We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention because we work hard to make sure that your store and online experiences are pleasant and efficient.
Since the item is on clearance, our stores can't price match the item. This is excluded from our price matching policy, therefore this price will not be honored. Our site states that prices, promotions, styles and availability may vary by store and online. In addition, you can't order this item online because it is currently out of stock.
At Target, it's all about having what you're shopping for at a great value. With your needs in mind, we'll keep working hard to bring you the unique merchandise that fits your lifestyle.
Thanks for writing.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I am still very upset over the whole ordeal but at least my money was refunded in a manner that I can choose where to buy the merchandise again.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I was able to purchase the Southwest gift cards in store. I'm surprised that nobody I spoke to at Target (3 customer service representatives) told me that this was a solution, as that's all I was searching for. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. I understand Ms. [redacted] has some concerns regarding the way she was charged for her order [redacted], and I’m happy to assist. During checkout we make every effort to show our guests the closest possible estimate for...
their final total. However, we clearly mark during checkout that the taxes listed are estimated rather than final.Target does not charge our guests until their items ship or are picked up. At the time of shipping, we are able to verify which warehouse the order is shipping from. Depending on the shipping location as well as where the products are shipping from, guests may see an additional charge for the verified tax amounts in effect at the time of shipmentThis is stated in our Terms & Conditions: “You agree to pay all charges that may be incurred by you or on your behalf through the Site, at the price(s) in effect when such charges are incurred including, without limitation, all shipping and handling charges. In addition, you remain responsible for any taxes that may be applicable to your Transactions.”As it turns out we aren't able to offer Ms. [redacted] the resolution she is seeking for this situation. However, I’ve sent her the $10 GiftCard we originally offered her for the experience. Target considers this matter closed. As always, I appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. Thanks for contacting Target on behalf of our guest [redacted]. I’m sorry to hear about the disappointment our guest felt after finding out the Power Beat Headphones wasn’t on sale for $59.98. throughout the site. After reviewing the product in question, I confirmed the sale price was truly $99.99. As of today, I verified Power Beat Headphones are no longer on sale for $99.99. I understand this isn’t the resolution our guest was looking for but thank her for taking the time to share her feedback and experience. As always, we appreciate the assistance you provide us with our guests. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Target.com at ###-###-####. I am rejecting this response because: the website clearly states a price and clearly directs you to pick up from the store. There is no clear indication that the store price is not what's shown on the website. They should change the website to show price at store is $______. Or perhaps an asterisk stating price shown on website is not the same as in store price. I saw the website and I drove to the store expecting to pay the price advertised.
