Again this response is symbolic of the lack of verification of accuracy of cases accepted by the collection agency. Hanger business confirmed by phone twice the account balance was zero. I appreciate your actions to assist in resolution with credit reporting agencies. Compounded errors create serious errors for consumers. Rudeness and the obnoxious Tek Collect agent phone behavior will not be forgotten and an apology would be welcomed. I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me. I will follow up to make sure that the business follows through on their statement regarding notifying the three major credit bureaus of the error.

The creditor, [redacted]  [redacted], DDS of [redacted]t Lane, Watson NC 27896, placed this claim with TekCollect on 06/30/2015. The address that the Dental  Practice provided for the consumer was [redacted] Rd., Wilson NC 27893. We sent letters to this address on...

these dates: 06/30/2015, 07/30/2015 and 08/14/2015. The Practice also provided a telephone number with the account,  ###-###-####. We have placed several calls to that number without making contact. We have contacted the  Dental Practice and request validation of the debt. Upon receipt of this information, we will forward a copy directly to the consumer and provide a copy of the same to the Revdex.com.

Today, we notified Experian, Equifax and TransuUnion to delete this from [redacted]' credit files. Below is a copy of email transactions between myself and [redacted] concerning this account. account is in the name of [redacted] with an address that is different
from yours. What may be contributing to the confusion at the credit reporting
agencies is that it appears you and [redacted] have had common addresses at some
point in the past and that some search engines appear to show the same date of
birth for each of you. Regardless, we are deleting this from your credit files
today. It should be completely removed within 4 to 5 business days. Due
to what we have found, there is a possibility that this may occur again in the
future with some other creditor. My recommendation is that you contact
Experian, Equifax and TransUnion and bring this to their attention. You may do
this online and once you make your report, these credit reporting agencies
should document it. This should help to avoid a repeat of this situation in the
future. Also, you are entitled to one free credit report annually from each of
these agencies. I suggest that at your convenience, you pull a copy of your
credit reports from each of the agencies to see if there are any other errors. Here

We have provided the documentation from the creditor for Mr. [redacted]'s overdrawn DDA account including copies of documents that he signed. Moreover, our CMS system is fully automated. Every transaction performed on an account, letters sent, calls mad and skip tracing are date and time stamped. Even if he did not receive the letters, he still owes the debt and is fully liable for it. It is completely legitimate to report defaulted accounts to credit reporting agencies. Mr. [redacted] needs to pay the debt, When that happens, the account will be reported paid to the credit reporting agencies. Our Client Services Department contacted the Chiropractic Practice concerning this debt. We are attachment the validation of the debt that was provided by the Practice. On the EOB’s in the box noted Payment Summary it states the Patient Responsibility for each date of service.  The first date...

of service being 5-27-14 for the amount of $65.52 and the second date of 6-3-14 in the amount of $40.52 combining for the total amount placed with TekCollect of $106.04.  A $20.00 collection fee was added to the account by the Practice and [redacted] made a payment to TekCollect of $25.00 on 12-8-14 bringing the balance to $101.04.  The signed documents are also included in the validation of the debt, which we have attached for the Revdex.com.  This debt is due and  owing by [redacted] to the Chiropractic Practice. I am not disputing that I owe the bill, I will pay the bill to [redacted] Water District DIRECTLY, I want absolutely nothing to do with TekCollect.
I am disputing however; that TekCollect did not contact me at all, via telephone or mail. I do not feel that they should have placed the "collection" account on my credit report without my knowledge of them even trying to collect the bill. I'm not disputing the claim that I owe the water company, after speaking with them via telephone. I am saying that I will not pay one penny of the money owed to TekCollect, and that I want their negative reporting off of my credit report. Had they called or mailed me anything, as they say ( I never received anything from them) I could understand them placing it on my credit report. As I have previously stated, they have not done either of the two aforementioned things, therefore I feel that it should be removed.

As the solution is acceptable, All THREE credit bureaus, Experian, Transunion and...

Equifax are NOT included in the response received. If the response contained all three credit agencies then I considered this closed and pleased with the action taken. This response given could have been a typo or memory lapse by the company not to include all three agencies.

I am rejecting this response because I never received any information from Tek Collect regarding this debt I spoke with [redacted] 2 to 3 times each time they tell me they have no record of that information. I am yet waiting for the information Tek Collect claimed they mailed in July, also I spoke with [redacted] he was suppose to have information sent again that's been 3 weeks ago.

The total amount outstanding on the account was $116.80. On several occasions, when we spoke with the consumer, we advised her that if she paid the account, we would report it paid to the credit bureaus. On March 22, 2017, the creditor, [redacted],  reported to TekCollect that...

the consumer had paid them $101.80, which left a balance of $15. Today, we contacted the creditor and asked them if they were willing to settle for the $101.80 and they agreed. We then asked if they would be willing to have this account deleted from the consumer's credit files and they agreed. Today our agent notified Experian, Equifax and Transunion to delete this account from the consumer's credit files.

Please see the file attachment. It contains validation of these two debts, which we received late in the day on August 9, 2016 from the creditor [redacted] Clinics. The consumer owes these two debts. As I explained in my last response on August  9, 2016, it takes 4 to 5 business days for the deletion to remove the account information from the consumer's credit files. Today, our agent called Experian,  Equifax and Transunion to confirm the deletions and these deletions have been applied. Tomorrow, we shall call Equifax again just to be certain that these accounts have been removed. Because these are valid debts and the consumer does owe them to [redacted], we are willing to give the consumer until September 10, 2016 to pay them. If at that time, these debts have not been paid, we will again report them as outstanding collections to Equifax, Experian and Transunion. This complaint is against the creditor, Internet 2000 of [redacted] email [redacted] telephone ###-###-####, FAX ###-###-####. After reading the consumer's complaint, we have suspended this account and marked it as disputed. Our  Client Services...

Manager will contact Internet 2000 and review the consumer's complaint with them and get their side of the story. Internet 2000 placed this account into collection with TekCollect on August 19, 2014.
Once we have the response from Internet 2000, we will respond back to the Revdex.com. If the consumer's dispute is valid, we will close and return the account to the creditor. On the other hand, if Internet 2000 can validate the debt and properly refute the allegations made by the consumer, we will notify both the consumer and provide all detail and documents and share this information with the Revdex.com.
