services and eLearning company which provides study material and support to help its customers pass college equivalency examinations.  TCN has assisted many customers in obtaining their degrees at the Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
TCN has a 5-Day Cancellation Policy. [redacted] did not contact TCN within five business days to cancel her contract.
[redacted] signed her contract with TCN on July 12, 2014 for the purchase of Comprehensive Learning Modules related to the Associate of Science Degree in nursing offered by Excelsior College*.      
TCN would like to take this opportunity to remind [redacted] that her TCN program has a “Lifetime Guarantee”, including a testing guarantee**. In addition, TCN has developed the Academic Guidance Planner and TCN Resource Center.  Those features were designed to assist TCN customers in reaching their educational goals.  The Academic Guidance Planner offers resources to help TCN customers determine what type of learner they are and the best way for them to study, organize their studies, and have a point of reference for their degree program progression. The TCN Resource Center is a learning environment that allows TCN customers to access their Comprehensive Learning Module program in an online, interactive format. TCN also offers customers online practice testing and the ability to take examinations in the comfort of your home.

Additionally, TCN will provide me with specific study plans with one of its Academic Advisors and/or the use of an approved tutor in my local area.  I would like to defer again to directly what is stated on the contract that I signed.
 Nursing Transition Courses Refund Policy: “If I am current in my obligations and purchased TCN’s NTCs but was not admitted to ISU’s College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services, I understand that TCN will refund the total amount I have paid for the NTCs provided I show proof of non-admission. The refund will first be applied to any outstanding loan balance due to my lender and any remaining monies due will be paid directly to me.”
No where in the refund policy does it say that they will withold some of the money for educational credits in the future, If they see fit.  Instead it says "TCN will refund the TOTAL amount I have paid for NTCs(Nursing Transition Courses)" . I feel as though that is clear as day. I was not accepted to ISU and they have acknowleged that, I should be refunded the total amount I have paid. They did not originally honor their own contract, which was  signed by both mylsef and the academic advisor, why should I believe that if they keep $1000 of my money that later on if I decided to try and use it that they would honor that agreement. I am not interested in pursing publishing material from a company that misrepresents its self to the consumer.Also I have called TCN multiple times to reach Bernard Schrader with zero response to my voicemails. In addition I called friday after I recieved TCN's latest response , and left a voicemail, as well as today I called at 3:13pm Pacific time and again was told to leave a voicemail.
I would like the total refund of my money, as promised by the TCN Refund Policy.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me however, this response is dated 8/31/15 which is over a month ago and I have yet to see any progress on the resolution. I have had to consistently email Mr. [redacted] in order to get any explanations. He does not return phone calls and when I call the number provided in the letter its to the academic support department and none of those people are capable to forwarding calls to Mr. [redacted]. Additionally, in the release I signed, it was not indicated that it would take 10-14 weeks to put the agreement in place which is just in keeping with the unfortunate and irresponsible "customer service" TCN consistently displays. I did not agree to a 10-14 week waiting period, that was not indicated in any agreement. The only reason I was told it took that long was because I had to inquire by email and wait days for a response. That is not acceptable to me. I expect that the agreement be carried out immediately, that I stop receiving letters from lifeway credit requesting my payment and that I get a refund for my September payment due to the excessive and unreasonable amount of time it is taking to resolve an issue with this company. Until they complete their side of the agreement in full, I am not bound by it meaning I will continue the investigation with the State of Illinois Attorney General. I just received notification that they are in the process of investigation. I suggest Mr. [redacted] make a real effort to execute the agreement and resolve my concerns. He also needs to provide an accurate contact phone number or actually pick up a phone and communicate with people. That is called responsible business practices. I can certainly send all of the typed communications I have to the attorney general and indicate that the agreement is not being upheld by TCN. If the lifeway account is not paid off and closed and I have not received a refund for September payment by 10/31/15 and I have not been provided with documentation proving the account was paid and closed by then, I will submit the additional documentation to the attorney general on 11/1/15.

[redacted] signed her Purchase Agreement and all applicable documentation for her degree program on June 12, 2008.
 
However, as a good corporate citizen TCN is willing to grant [redacted] request for cancellation under the following conditions.
 
TCN requests that [redacted] execute TCN’s Release and Settlement Agreement.
 
TCN will attempt to recall and close [redacted] loan in the approximate amount of $5,300.00 with Global Acceptance Credit Company or it’s assignees.
 
Monies retained by TCN will be treated as an “Educational Credit” which can be utilized by [redacted] at any time in the future to complete her non Certificate TCN educational program using TCN materials.

the program at this time is worthless to me, not geared to my education objective of becoming a registered nurse in the state of California... ISU online program was canceled in Dec 2012 TCN never contacted to inform of any changes to the program to its students no did ISU... credits are not transferable so why is the need to continue with the materials which are taking no where. please all am asking is reimburse my money, TCN is will to waive the balance, for the same reason a refund should be issued. I signed up for LVN to RN program which is not available with no idea when this is going to happen again....am not interested in just reading information that's taking me nowhere.
I just want a refund of what I paid in.

If I have not passed the CLEP, DANTES or Excelsior College* Exam for a particular TCN Comprehensive Learning Module after two attempts, TCN will pay the future cost of re-taking the exam in question, up to the maximum attempts allowed (if any) by CLEP, DANTES, or Excelsior College*. Additionally, TCN will provide me with specific study plans with one of its Academic Advisors and/or the use of an approved tutor in my local area. TCN had a 5-Day Cancellation Policy. [redacted] did not contact TCN within five business days to cancel her contract. TCN will be sending out [redacted] requested Test Fee check within the next 7-10 days      
 
[redacted] enrolled with TCN on May 25, 2013 for the purchase of Comprehensive Learning Modules related to the Associate of Science in Nursing degree program offered by Excelsior College*.    
 
TCN would like to take this opportunity to remind [redacted] that her TCN program has a “Lifetime Guarantee”, including a testing guarantee**.
