Review: Purchased Cruise & Airfare from adventures 2 remember and then had to go through Travel Center for vacation vouchers. We had to call several times for clarification on how the vouchers work. It was a lot of back and forth mailing in money to activate vouchers within a set time (30 days). We mailed $138 to Travel Center to get cruise & airfare activation and they told us the vacation would be booked through one company ([redacted]) which we had to mail $200. We sent email confirming travel dates to Travel Center as requested and went over that we are traveling during peak season. The problem was that [redacted] was not offering our airfare that we had paid for. We are not sure how this happened the vacation then ended up being booked through [redacted]. We called Travel Center to find out what was going on and they made it seem as we were at fault for what happened and that we would have to pay [redacted] the $200 due to us not read the agreement. The rep that I spoke to was rude and said it was there for me to read and it was my responsibility to follow the instructions on how the vacation worked. I tried to explain how could we have booked with 2 companies unless they sent it to us? We would not have been able to do it on our own. I asked her to explain where the error was at and to help me book the vacation due to the process had been on going since February and becoming more and more frustrating. She said it was easy to understand and I must have a problem understanding the instructions. I told her it may be easy for her to understand due to it was her job to know the process but as consumers we do not know how their company works like she does. We asked to refund the $138 that we paid to Travel Center via a check on Feb 25th and she rudely said no. I have sent them an email on May 28th asking for the refund of $138 and they replied back saying no that they sent us documents with codes and sent to the booking company. In my email I indicated that [redacted] and [redacted] have canceled all associated vacation request with them and refunding our money and that is why we are asking for a refund. Please assist us on getting our money back. We are not taking any vacation through them or anyone affiliated with them. This has been an ongoing process for 6 months.Desired Settlement: for Travel Center to refund $138 back to me. Please assist us on getting our money back. We are not taking any vacation through them or anyone affiliated with them. This has been an ongoing process for 6 months. thank you for your time.

June 30, 2014Dear **. [redacted],After reading the complaint and pulling **. [redacted] file this is what was found. In the letter **. [redacted] touches on our email correspondence with him. On the Booking Information Sheet and the Customer Notice that he signed when he selected his bonus vacation it covers our refund policies. I am sorry that [redacted] had voided his vouchers I am glad to hear they are refunding him but the funds that **. [redacted] paid the Travel Center was sent to [redacted] to purchase his booking documents. That is why we put on the booking information sheet that once such documents have been purchased by the Travel Center per their request there can be no refunds. On May 15, 2014 we emailed **. [redacted] an online booking company’s website for him to go on line and book his reservation. We have not heard from **. [redacted] since our last email correspondence on May 28, 2014. if **. [redacted] needs the website sent to him again please have him contact and request instruction for him to follow to book his vacation.Sincerely,

Review: A free 8 day cruise and 2 airline tickets were awarded for attending a sales presentation with only processing fees and port taxes to be paid. Completed forms and sent within the time frame specified and this required a $69 per person (2) in money order only, activation fee. After several telephone calls received an email with another set of forms to fill out (just name address email and phone on both sets of forms). Returned 2nd forms within time specified. Received email informing that dates had not been requested and would need to be specified. Sent date range as requested. Received another set of forms wanting the same info, name, address, email and telephone, again no place for date request or which cruise. These forms have to be returned with money order of $200 ($100 each person). I have requested a list of the available cruises and dates as we must make arrangements several weeks prior for vacation from work and have not received anything but additional request for name, address, email and telephone.Desired Settlement: Just a return of the $138 sent originally. This has a been a total run around and the money order only payment is an alarm.

That is the Travel Centers policy. At this point no further correspondence is required or will be forthcoming from the Travel Center since a refund was offered but rejected.Sincerely

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Vouchers were returned in original condition. They were sent certified mail and were signed for by the company on 2 June 2014. I received an email from them dated 4 June 2014 stating they would not process the refund until I closed the complaint, which I will do when they refund the money.

Review: My husband and I attended an 90 minute sales presentation which we declined the offer, and was given a voucher for a vacation that we only had to pay $69 each for the fees. I sent a check for the $138.00 within the 2 week time frame and have not heard a word. I have called twice and both times get a recording saying they are having power outages and for you to call back tomorrow and they will be happy to help.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back

December 3, 2014Dear [redacted],I have read the second rejection letter from [redacted] and there are no questions for the Travel Center to answer. I have enclosed the email correspondence between [redacted] and our refund department. It seems we are at a standstill. The Travel Center has offered [redacted] a full refund once the case is closed with your company.[redacted] states she does not want the case closed until the refund is received. It is the Travel Centers company policy that no refunds can or will be issued until all cases are closed. [redacted] states in her email that she does not trust our company to send the refund if the case is closed. Our refund department attempted to insure [redacted] that the refund check would be issued.Since a full refund has been authorized and offered to [redacted] and [redacted] is unwilling to take my word and the written emails from the refund department there is nothing else The Travel Center can do for [redacted]. Since [redacted] wants to continue to argue the point it is our company policy now to request a written letter from [redacted] with her signature stating that no further action will be taken against the Travel Center for the refund to be issued. All of this could have been avoided if [redacted] would have just followed our simple refund policies. There is no further correspondence required by The Travel Center to your agency and none will be forthcoming from the Travel Center. Please instruct [redacted] to follow our company's policies to receive the refund [redacted] is seeking.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

Review: This is not a true business and vacation was not delivered as promised. Kept requesting funds for a free trip. Confusing paperwork and wouldn't answer questions and put on hold when contacted business.Desired Settlement: Refund of all monies ..total $188.00

Response:

November 17, 2014Hello [redacted],After reading the letter from your office concerning [redacted] and pulling his file we received the Reservation Center Official Vacation Booking form by at the bottom [redacted] was requesting a refund for $188.00. We attempted twice to email [redacted] concerning his request to explain that the refund requested amount was never paid to [redacted].I believe [redacted] has our company confused with the company that gave [redacted] our information. We do not advertise or sell anything we are just the booking company that assigned [redacted] the booking codes to go on line to book the vacation of his choice. Please forward [redacted] request for the refund to the company that those funds were paid to for his settlement.Sincerely, Donna

Review: I received a fax about low priced vacation deals. I was interested in the (4 days/3nights Dominican Republic All Inclusive vacation for two, airfare included- $179.98 per person) so I called the number that was on the flyer ###-###-####. A lady named Laura took my call. I asked numerous questions about the deal and the prices. She assured me that after I paid $360 to [redacted] and $69 booking fee for each person to activate to their merchant processor [redacted], I would just be left with paying for the taxes and gratuities and reassured me there was no additional fee for airfare, it was included in the price (which I found out later to be false). I was told that day was the last day that the "special" was available so I paid the $360 for the trip and received a receipt from [redacted] to confirm this to my email on Nov. 4, 2013. I was directed to pay the other amount due ($69 per person for the processing fee with a check) to the Travel Center. After paying the total of $498, I called Laura at ext. [redacted] and she was nowhere to be found and it seems the company [redacted] is no longer around. Each company keeps saying they are not responsible for what the other company is telling people. After this I became skeptical about this whole trip. I still haven't received any tickets, booking dates. I went online and did a search on The Travel Center, this led me to a website where this company was being called out for scams. Everything I read was exactly what I was going through. Now I am dealing with [redacted] who took more money and they continue to say the dates we chose are not available. Now our certificate is about to expire and we will get no trip because you have to give them 90 day notice (which we did) and they keep dragging it out by telling you the three dates you chose are not available until your certificate expires. I have paid the following: [redacted] =$360, The Travel Center = $138 and [redacted] = $198. I would like my money back from all three.Desired Settlement: To receive all of the money back that I have paid

Response:

August 18, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the letter and pulling [redacted]'s file this is what we have. On March 5, 2014 [redacted] called requesting an extension on the expiration date of her vacation booking documents. On March 13, 2014 our office mailed her the extension letter extending the date of her vacation voucher for December 31, 2014.This extension is for the booking process not the travel by date. [redacted] just needs to book her travel by that date not to have traveled by December 31, 2014. :Our last correspondence from [redacted] was on March 13, 2014. I would suggest that [redacted] contact [redacted] to apply for new date before her vacation expires on December 31, 2014. The new dates of travel can be in 2015 of her choice as long as it follows there booking date requirements. If [redacted] would like to request a refund from The Travel Center please have it submitted to TCWWCustomerService@ gmail.com. Since the Travel Center has provided [redacted] with the extension and the opportunity to book her travel I do not believe a refund can be issued since the funds were paid to [redacted]s to purchase the booking documents on [redacted]s behalf per her signed request and [redacted]s will not refund the Travel Center. Since [redacted]s has not voided her vacation and are just requesting [redacted] to submit new dates there is nothing we can do to help [redacted] with that process. Also on the signed document it covers that the Travel Center is not responsible for any advertisement of the product you purchased or verbal agreements made by the company you purchased it from.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

Review: A company called [redacted], located in [redacted], Md sent an unsolicited fax to my medical practice with great vacation prices. I called the company and after listening to the representative give information on who they were and what it was they were selling I decided to purchase a 4 da 3 night trip to Jamaica. I chose the [redacted] resort in Montego Bay for 380 for 2 people. I had to pay by check by phone. The representative said I would receive my vouchers for the trip by certified mail. The check was processed by a company called [redacted]. I did not receive a voucher, but a package from The Travel Center ( [redacted] MD) with terms and conditions and another form to send in with my information, the vacation I wanted and 2 money orders for 69 dollars a person. I thought I had already selected my vacation. I proceeded to send in the paper work and the money orders. I then got bombarded with emails with more forms to fill out with my information, when I wished to travel and where I wanted to travel too. I then received an email with an attachment for a company called [redacted] with a website address and customer service number (which was the same as The Travel Center, and the physical address is actually the same as well, which is a [redacted] store). The website is [redacted].com and is bogus. By personal code was bogus. You can click on the link that says book a vacation and enter any made up name and email address and [redacted] as the personal code and you will get into the next page. It then has a list of vacations, each one says you have to pay a 50 dollar deposit per couple and you have to print out yet another form and send it to them with a 50 dollar money order. I already paid for the vacation I thought. What was my 380.00 I paid over the phone to [redacted] for? At this point, I realized this is fraud and a scam. I believe it is one company operating under different names or a bunch of companies working together to rip people off. [redacted] will not refund my 380.00 dollars because it was passed 72 hours, however I didn't receive the initial package until over 14 days later. I sent an email to The Travel Center refund department ([redacted]) requesting my 138.00 back for the activation fee. I have not heard back from them. [redacted] customer service number is not longer working for me ( [redacted]).

There is a legit company called [redacted]) that is looking to sue the other company for using a similar name and it turns out that company is receiving phone calls every day with people who are having the similar experience as I am. They are taking the names and numbers of the indiviuals who are calling in and giving them to their attorney for record. These companies need to be stopped. It is criminal, deceptive, fraudulent, and against fair consumer acts. Please help.

Other companies that may be involved are [redacted] and the [redacted] Network

Numbers associated with these companies are also ###-###-#### , [redacted] , [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all money spent and that these companies stop their fraudulent activities.

Review: A group of 10 women purchased 16 voucher trips from a company called [redacted] out of [redacted]. They then gave us to a company called Travel Center to process our vouchers. [redacted] said the trips could be group trips and that they had a groups dept. However when we received the initial packet of information it clearly stated that group trips were not allowed. When we called travel center to arrange the trips they would not book a group trip. Therefore we filled out our prebooking forms indidvidually and sent them to Trave Center on Jan 22, 2013. Since then we have not received any vouchers. I have faxed my prebooking form in 3 times and have no answer. When I call they put me on hold or say [redacted] the manager is not in.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back as these 16 trips add up to almost $5000

Review: My husband works for [redacted], NY and received a fax regarding a vacation to the Bahamas. We called and they promised this was legitimate and after a long conversation, I thought my husband asked all the right questions, he gave them

a check for $380.00 over the phone. We received the application by e-mail filled out all information. We had never been out of the country and had to pay over $200.00 each for passports. With the travel application we had to submit another

$138.00. Then we received another application we submitted again with $50.00 and they sent a quote that the vacation would cost an additional $1500.00 each for this three day vacation because we choose peak time returning on a Saturday or

Sunday. We thought that was not a deal and when we went back on the site to choose a different time the site was gone. When I sign on to vacationsreservations.com the page is blank. I sent a email asking for a refund after trying for 6 months

unsuccessfully and we were told "Unfortunately once you have sent in the documents with your codes we do not provide refunds. I replied that I would like a telephone number to call for a refund and I received another e-mail "Unfortunately there is no number to call for refunds. We are out $768.00 and we are not going on vacation.Desired Settlement: We would like all money we paid for a service we did not receive.

October 13, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the letter from [redacted] and pulling the file this is what we have on record. The desired settlement that [redacted] is asking for was not paid to the Travel Center. The Travel Center only received $138.00 from [redacted] on April 18, 2014 so there is no reason [redacted] should be asking for $768.00 from the Travel Center. The complaint is about Advertising Issues. The Travel Center does not advertise or sell anything. This complaint should be sent to the company that did the advertising, selling of the product.I have attached copies of [redacted]'s file for your records please note the highlighted area of these documents. This will clear up our policy of rerunds and restrictions. [redacted] was aware of these policies prior to requesting the booking codes to go to the online booking company to book the vacation. These documents were signed and faxed to the Travel center prior to our office providing [redacted] the access code. It also covers the issues of peak season. “This promotion is for off peak season. Peak season travel and room or airfare upgrades are available an additional cost.” “Please remember 90 day advanced notice is required for these promotional vacations.” “Once travel documents and booking has begun by the Reservation Center at your request, there cannot be ay refunds”. “The Reservation Center is an independent travel booking service and is not responsible for any advertisement or sale of the promotional vacation you have received or any written or verbal agreements made by the company you have received it from. If you have any questions about the package please call that company. Please note that the price quoted to you by the company you have received your package from may not have included fuel or seasonal surcharges that will be charged at the time of booking. Due to the constant fluctuation of promotional prices all vacations and pricing are subject to change prior to confirmed booking. By signing this document you acknowledge to all the above terms of use.” Please not the documents were signed by [redacted].We contacted the booking company and requested a copy of the vacation quote that was sent to [redacted]. Please not on the quote provided by the booking company email it covers these factors in red. Please go to the booking company's web site at www.[redacted].com to view all the terms and conditions, restrictions as to peak season flight days. This is where [redacted] went to book the vacation it was [redacted]'s choice not to follow the guidelines of the promotional vacation. It cannot be held against the Travel Center that [redacted] either did not read, comprehend what was signed and faxed to our office or that the documents were not read at all and just signed and faxed in.With all the documentation that I have sent you it covers all the issues in [redacted]'s letter. The Travel Center will offer [redacted] a partial refund of $50.00. Most of the fee that [redacted] sent the Travel Center is paid to the booking company to cover their cost that is why the Travel Center covers the no refund policy prior to sending any customer to the booking company. Also on the booking company's web site it is covered. Please instruct [redacted] to send our refund department an email at [email protected] and mention my name Donna and accept the partial refund of $50.00. Once the email is received and the file pulled a refund will be issued to [redacted]. Please close this case accordantly.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

Review: The Travel Center is involved in a scam with [redacted], Inc. whereby [redacted], Inc. sent me a postcard inviting me to a presentation, saying that if I attended, I would receive 2 roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S. Once I attended the presentation, they have given me the run-around. They required a $58 payment to The Travel Center which I paid. I have never received my tickets.Desired Settlement: I have also filed a complaint against [redacted]. My desired outcome is that The Travel Center sends me a refund of $58 and [redacted]. sends me the $50 I paid them along with the tickets they said I would receive for attending their presentation.

Review: I had purchased a vacation package for a 6night 7 day stay in [redacted] with air for 299.98 per person from [redacted]/Travel Center. I sent the money in and had gotten a confirmation back on my package. My contract # is 22061262 in which I was suppose to be contacted by the Travel Center to set up my package. I had to send $69.00 per person for the agent. When I spoke with [redacted] from the [redacted] Ext. [redacted] I asked him what this package consists of and what I would have to pay. He told me I would have to pay $540.00 for 2 of us going on this trip plus a $69.00 each agent fee plus when we arrived in [redacted] we would have to pay the tax on the condo. We would be able to use this for 12 months. It has been 4 months now and still have nothing.

I did get an bonus vacation in which I had to pay another $389.00 up front but I did get a confirmation on this but I do not want to pay more money.

I want my 6day 7 night package with air honored. I did contact customer service but they tell me all agents are busy and hold which I did yesterday. I finally spoke with [redacted] and she gave me an email to send to a [redacted]. I have not heard from him.. I think this is a scam in which these faxes go out to business to purchase a vacation. I hope you will be able to help me out.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the money I paid out for the total of $ 678.00.

April 30, 2014Dear [redacted],In reading your letter and in pulling [redacted] file we have not received a refund request from [redacted]. In [redacted] complaint it is clear that all of her conversations have been with Adventure to remember not our office the Travel Center. Since we do not have extensions or any one employed with the name [redacted]mentioned. I have enclosed a copy of the signed document that [redacted] faxed to our office requesting the booking documents and the receipt from the post office that those documents have been delivered. On the signed document it states that the Travel Center is not responsible for any advertisement of the product you purchased or written and verbal agreements made by the company you purchased it from. If you have any questions about the package please call that company. Since [redacted] has the booking company information and their terms and conditions for the vacation requested. [redacted] will need to contact that company to make her vacation reservations. If no contact has been made to the booking company I do not see how the reservations can be made otherwise. The Travel Center cannot make her travel arrangements [redacted] has all the information needed to book her vacation that she is requesting in her letter to be honored.[redacted] is requesting to have the vacation honored and a refund? [redacted] is requesting a refund for 678.00 this amount was not paid to the Travel Center. If [redacted] would like to request a refund from the Travel Center an email needs to be sent to [redacted]. We will be more than happy to process the refund request. Unfortunately because we have sent out the vacation vouchers to the client the only way that the Travel Center can offer them a partial refund is if the vouchers have not registered, written on or used the vacation vouchers in any way and can return them back to the Travel Center in the same condition that they were sent to them. On the signed document it states that any changes or cancellations made later may result in a small administrative change fee. Once travel documents and booking codes are ordered and purchased by the Travel Center at your request, there cannot be any refunds of any fees collected by the Travel Center. Please instruct [redacted] to move forward however she chooses. [redacted] will need to contact the other company that the other fees were paid to if she chooses the refund option.

Review: Not sure of the date when I got the flyer from my jobs fax machine, but I continue to break down the details on how this Travel Center got over on me big time and I will do what ever I have to do to get my money back. On 3/05/14 I talked to a lady name [redacted] ext.[redacted]. When I had my conversation with her about the trip myself and four other people I was planning I informed her of the dates that we had decided to leave for our trip. [redacted] asked what were the dates of the trip, I told her we are going to [redacted] these dates Aug 22nd through the 25th. This lady told me the dates were find and that this is what I need to do so I could lock in our price. I told her many of times that this is the dates we needed booked for our trip, she even put her Supervisor on the phone and he insured me that the days were good and we were our are way. I also have and email that is save that also says this "You are only steps away from your dream vacation. Keep this email as it serves as a receipt for your purchase. Remember, until you activate your travel vouchers, they are 100% transferable. Once you have activated the travel vouchers in your name, you will be asked yo select your vacation dates. After this is done, you will receive written confirmation of your vacation plans. Their is still more to this email that I saved. In regards to this email when I discussed to her about the dates when we were leaving I have a copy of the 480.00 I made out to [redacted], this check was cleared 3/7/14. A few days later I sent them some more money don't have that on me at the moment, but my bank do have the copies. I then received two envelopes from Travel Center, which I still have copies of with the trip details on it. By the way before I got the envelopes this is were the the company got me with the scam, on the Romantic Getaway card, as I read the Ter** and Conditions this was some of the things the struck me. The Offer was for only two adults must me 21 and up, the offer is non-refundable.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back because these people lied to me in my face and used God as an excuse to make it seem as though this was a great deal, I was also informed that we could Travel one week before or after a holiday...the list goes on. But I informed this company the days of our trip and I was cleared buy a Fake Supervisor who refuse to talk to me after I complained about the issues after I received this [redacted] card with the ter** and conditions.

July 17, 2014 Dear [redacted],Our office received a letter concerning **. [redacted] after reading the complaint and pulling the file this is our response. Here at the Travel Center we do not advertise, sell or do promotions. We do not have extensions in our office nor do we have a [redacted] employed here. The conversation as to the dates of her [redacted] trip must have been with the company that the vacation package was purchased from. None of our documentation have the heading “You are only steps away from your dream vacation”. Please ask **. [redacted] to check that email it was not from the Travel Center it was from the company she purchased from.I have enclosed documents for your files. One is a personal letter from **. [redacted] asking us to mail all the vouchers to her address and thanking us for being kind and answering her questions. This is why I believe she has the two companies confused. The second document covers the issues of the sale, advertisement of the product that was purchased. Please note this was signed by **. [redacted]. The third document covers the booking companies requirements and refund policy. The last document is signed by **. [redacted] as well this is the document that was sent in to order the vacation booking documents. Please note the highlighted portion. This should have made **. [redacted] aware that no date is guaranteed until the booking company gives confirmation. “Please remember that 90 day advanced notice is required for all of these vacations. Please remember that no destination or date is guaranteed and re vacation is booked until you receive official travel documents and itinerary from the booing company. The bonus vacation you have chosen is separate from the Travel Center and is not a Travel Center Product. This bonus vacation will be handled by the chosen vacation provider. The Travel Center is not responsible for any advertisement of the product you purchased or written and verbal agreements made by the company you purchased from. If you have any questions about the package please call that company. Once Travel Documents and booking codes are ordered and purchased by the Travel Center at your request, there cannot be any refunds of any fees collected by the Travel Center. As to the desired settlement that amount requested that amount was not paid to the Travel Center this is another reason I believe this complaint was sent to the wrong company. Since the travel documents have been received the Travel Center has no idea if travel was arranged since we are not the booking company. Since the Travel Center has fulfilled our part this complaint I believe it should be close and forward to the company the purchase was from.Sincerely,

Review: I [redacted] and [redacted] sent $150.00 ea.for 3 days 2 night trip. August 9 thur 11.

They keep asking for more money for Hotel and Air Fears. This is not the agreement. We would like to get the money back. It would be to late for the Family Reunoin.([redacted] and the [redacted] Family Reunion) We wound like to be reimbust.

Review: I was faxed an offer for discount trip from [redacted] Travel on 1/9/13. I was promised a trip to San Antonio for $150.00 per person.. I paid $300.00 for two to [redacted] Travel. On 1/21/13 I received a packet from the Travel Center. To activate the program, I was required to pay an additional $69.00 per person for a processing fee to the Travel Center. On 1/28/13 I returned booking information to the Travel Center. On 2/15/13 we received a registration and a terms and conditions packet from the Travel Center asking for an additional $99.00 per person for processing fee. There was also a $350.00 limit on the airfare. These additional fees were not disclosed when we first booked. We were also promised two evenings and three exciting days. After reading terms and conditions I discovered that most flights depart between 3:00p.m. and 10:00p.m. and return between 500:a.m. and 1:p.m. The trip promises" two evenings' and"three exciting days." Arriving at San Antonio at a late hour and leaving at a very early hour is not receiving the two evenings and three days vacation as was promised. I appreciate any help you can provide.

August 18, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the letter and pulling the [redacted] file it is clear that there is a problem with the booking company receiving the correspondence to start the booking process. I have personally contacted the booking company and requested them to send an email to the email address provided in the letter of [redacted] to start the booking process if it has not been started. This should take care of the problem I know sometimes if all the boxes are not checked and all the information is not filled out the reservation is not submitted to the booking company as quickly or if the client has specific requests as to the hotel, airline or cruise ship rooms. With the online booking company contacting the [redacted] party this should resolve the issue in the letter.Sincerely,Donna

Dear [redacted]: Thank you very much for your prompt response about my complaint.

I got a rude message from Travel Center that my travel arrangements stand null and void.

Review: I purchased a trip for Hawaii with airfare included from [redacted]. Once I paid the $600 to them, they sent me documents to activate my travel voucher with The Travel Center which I paid $138.00. Once this $138 was paid, I was sent information that I needed to pay $398 to [redacted] so this company could book the resort. I sent the $398 for the taxes and resort fees and the dates I requested. I had to send 3 dates and the first one was rejected. I got an email that Infinity is looking at my date of May 25, but have not heard anything else in the last two weeks.

I was never told I would have to jump through 4 different agencies to get this travel.

I feel they are not honoring what I was promised and that I was grossly misinformed on the trip information.

I'm requesting the refund of $138 from the Travel Center.Desired Settlement: Refund full amount

Response:

Dear Traveler,We will be more than happy to process your refund request. Unfortunately because we have sent out the vacation vouchers to you the only way that we can offer you a refund is if you have not registered, written on or used those vacation vouchers in any way and can return them back to us here at the Travel Center in the same condition that we sent them to you. If you can do this, we can offer you a partial refund minus the cancellation fee of $25.00 per person which will bring your total refund to $88.09. Please keep in mind our refund response is only pertaining to the funds given to the Travel Center. If funds were given to any other company you would need to contact that company pertaining to those funds.Unfortunately if you have used these vacation vouchers or tarnished them in any way, we cannot provide you with a refund because as it states on the form that you signed and sent to us, in order to receive those vouchers, we do not provide refunds once the vouchers are sent out. Please let us know what you would like to do.Thank you.

FYI- I have contacted the below for a refund and they have never responded back. They are lying and have no intention of refunding my money!!!

Review: I went to a presentation here in Dallas for a travel product. My wife and I were told we will receive a 3 day 2 night plus airfare any where in the US. We got the travel brochure and instructions. We followed the instructions which was to send $98 for fees and processing. After about two weeks I did not hear anything. I called and they sent me an email with a form that I completed saying where I wanted to go. I completed that and faxed it over. After about a week I received a certified envelope with another brochure for a getaway for two. I was then told to pick a location from a list in the envelope. I also was asked to send in another $98 per person. I contacted them by email. I asked why can't I go where I want and they said I had to choose from the list. Also I questioned the additional fees and they said the fees were for taxes and processing. I then requested them just to send me back the money I already paid because we were not aware of additional fees and the selected destinations on there list. I also stated we felt they misrepresented the travel package. We were specifically told we could go anywhere in the US and It would only cost the processing fee. They said they would not do refund our initial fee. They said it was against there policy. My wife and I were lied to about the package. We would have never agreed to paying a total of at least $300 to go to a place we have no desire to visit. This company is a FraudDesired Settlement: We just want our money back and for this company to be up front when advertising free travel packages. They are very misleading and dishonest. They never told us how much they fees were. Also they lead us to believe we could go anywhere we wanted. Also when I asked why the additional fees. They said taxes. Who pays $200 just for taxes on a travel product.

Review: This company passed out flyers that you can buy a vacation, that they have so many booking by big cooperation that don't use all of their bookings, so the bookings that are left over you will be able to buy a certificate to take a trip. Then you send the money to them, they send you a certificate to you to send more money to [redacted], and when you call them back and tell them the company they gave you is not giving you a trip that was promised and can you get a refund from the money you sent them for this packet, they say they can't refund it. This seem to be some kind of scam that they are running to take the initial monies that you send in, and tell you they are not responsible for the other company failure to comply. We were a group of six, at $285.00 per couple. Not one of us has gotten a trip yet, just ripped off. This company is robbing people without a gun. They are promising this great trip. But you get nothing out of it, but broke.Desired Settlement: Refund cash to [redacted], and [redacted] is the one that sent the money to them from her account. We have tried to be patient, but this problem has being going on since February 2013. We would like our money back, so we can take a trip with a travel agencies that is not trying to scam people.

January 31, 2014Dear **. [redacted],In response to a letter our office received concerning a **. [redacted] our record show that **. [redacted] never paid the Travel Center any money. In her letter she mentions a [redacted] we do have her on file but no correspondence from **. [redacted] since her documents were sent on May 3, 2014.In **. [redacted]’s letter she states that we passed out a flyer. Here at the Travel Center we do not advertise or hand out flyers. Our records do not show any payment received from the names she listed in her letter in the amount of $285.00 per person. **. [redacted] must be speaking of the company that provided her the flyer. In our records we have an email from **. [redacted] on September 23, 2013 stating that she can no longer go on vacation because she has no one to travel with and no travel time since it will interfere with her classes. In our response to **. [redacted] we out lined our refund policy and the procedures to receive the refund. If the product we sent her has been filed out or damaged we cannot provide a refund. As of this date we have not received the product back to process the refund she has already requested. The other problem is that we have not received any funds from **. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: I'm writing in regards to a package I purchased from [redacted] travel in March 2013 because I had to fly to Texas July 17, 2013. I'm positive that they told me I had time to receive, activate the package and make travel arrangements so I can travel in July. When I received the package around April 14 ,I called the travel center at ###-###-#### within 14 days of receiving the package to activate it by giving them my promo code [redacted], I was asked to pay $138 total at $69 per person. Afterwords When I try to book my trip they told me they could not help me because July 2013 was too soon to travel. I requested a refund and they referred me to customer service to cancel my activation and request a refund. When I contacted customer service requesting my activation fee. Customer service wrote me back stating I can only received a partial refund and I have to pay a $50 cancellation fee at $25 per person. I think that was very wrong and dishonest of [redacted] travel /// the travel Center. If They had told me when I was activating my package that I would not have enough time to travel in July,I would not have went ahead and activate package.Desired Settlement: They have to be sincere and upfront to the customers before collecting the activation fee:-(
