Review: I signed up for a vacation for 2 spending about $500.00. The vacation never happened because the certificate ran out before I could book. It sounded too good to be true and it was. I lost my money. The signup is long and complicated and hard to contact peopleDesired Settlement: I'd love to have a refund of my money, but most of all I want others to know that they may not get a vacation and lose their money like I did

Dear **. [redacted],

In response to a letter of office received concerning a **. [redacted] in pulling the file this is what was found. On October 12, 2012 **. [redacted] ordered her vouchers from our office. On September 3, 2013 we received an email requesting a refund and we responded with our refund policy. We will be more than happy to process their refund request. Unfortunately because we have sent out the vacation vouchers to the client the only way that the Travel Center can offer them a refund is if the vouchers have not registered, written on or used the vacation vouchers in any way and can return them back to the Travel Center in the same condition that they were sent to them. Please have the client enclose the name of the client that paid the Travel Center along with their contact information. All refund requests must be received in writing.

I have enclosed the signed document that was sent to our office back in 2012 from **. [redacted]. In the complaint **. [redacted] states that the voucher ran out The issue date for the vouchers was over 11 months ago back in 2012 how much time is needed to book a vacation. Since **. [redacted] has already started the refund process with our company and follows the instructions for a refund this case should be closed as satisfied.

The Travel Center cannot refund money that was not collected by the Travel Center. The refund amount that **. [redacted] is requesting was not paid to the Travel Center. The amount on file that was paid by **. [redacted] is $138.00. Please instruct **. [redacted] to request the other portion of the refund amount from the company that payment was made to.

Review: I received a fax about low priced vacation deals. I was interested in one (4 days/3nights Dominican Republic for two, airfare included- $179.98 per person) so I called the number that was on the flyer [redacted]. Agent [redacted] picked up. I continued to ask numerous questions about the deal and the prices. He assured me that after I paid $360 and $69 booking fee for each person, I would just be left with paying for the taxes which would come out to $150 altogether. This will total out to $648 for the whole trip. I was told that that day (September 18th 2013) was the last day that the "special" was available so I paid the $360 for the trip and received a receipt to confirm this to my email. I continued to pay the other amounts due ($69 per person for booking fee with a check). After paying the total of $498, I called [redacted] at his extension [redacted] back and he wouldn't answer any of our calls, he was nowhere to be found and their company named Reservations would keep forwarding our calls to his assistant. After this I became skeptical about this whole trip. I still haven't received any tickets, booking dates. I noticed that I was no longer dealing with Reservations, I was now dealing with The Travel Center. Everyone I spoke to after looking for [redacted] had a different story and nothing was set and stone. So I went online and did a search on The Travel Center, this led me to a website where this company was being called out for scams. Everything I read was exactly what I was going through. There were too many stipulations which led to more concern. Im tired of dealing with so many different people and not really knowing where exactly my money is going or if this trip is even real! I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: $498.00

Review: This "free vacation with air" was advertised as one of the options for listening to a presentation for Dream Destinations and we were told it could be used within one year. We sent in our refundable $138.00 after reading the email over to be sure we were doing our part correctly. Further emails would not give the amounts required in fees for this "free" vacation over and above the $138 already paid nor did we get any phone number to call with our questions early on…then when we finally had a phone number to call in an email, we could not get through. We discovered that not only could we not travel near holidays (this WAS divulged early on in the process), but we could not travel during peak season which we finally were emailed was 5 months of the year we were told we could use our vacation. Had we known this in the first place, we never would have gone to the presentation as my husband is a teacher and can only travel in the summer or during spring break (near Easter).

Then when we decided to move further in the process, still not knowing full fees, we could only find out the fees by sending in a "code" but by that time, we were told we could no longer get a refund. Soooo, we did not have full information regarding fees until it was too late to receive a refund. Totally deceptive practices and certainly not the first complaint of this kind, I am sure! Our "free vacation" would cost us nearly $1000.00 for two since we had to also travel during the week, missing days of work, which was not divulged in the first place either.

We simply want to get our $138.00 back so that we can put it back in our vacation fund and continue to save for a proper and honest vacation. We have emailed the company twice. They said that the agreement that we signed was that after the code was sent to the booking company we could no longer have a refund….but the earlier emails also indicated that if we found out that the vacation times we chose would not work for some reason (we were waiting to hear what the surcharges for travel would be for our chosen time), we could change it…..well, how can we know if we can afford our "free vacation" if they don't tell us fees until too late for a refund??? This kind of advertisement is so wrong and this company needs to stop its deceit and make this right….I'm sure we are not the first, but many will just give up the fight. We never would have gone to the presentation if we would have known of these fees well beyond the $138.00 deposit. This company is not giving anything away for free.Desired Settlement: Refund of $138.00 check and honesty in advertisement in future for others who are swindled of their deposits out of lack of full information up front.

July 11, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the letter it is clear that the [redacted] is upset with the company that they attended the presentation with after pulling The [redacted] file this is what was found. I have enclosed copies of the documents for your records. I have numbered the documents and high light in yellow the areas that the [redacted] stated was not disclosed to them. It covers the area that the Travel Center does not advertise, sell or do the promotion that they attended. All of the complaint issues are covered in the documents I have enclosed. The [redacted] also changed their travel date twice.#1. On May 15, 2014 we received the action form and fee of $318.00 from the [redacted]. Please note that our telephone number is on this document that the [redacted] underlined. This document also covers the fees, taxes that the client is expected to pay for the vacation. Nowhere on this document does it say FREEVACATION. It also covers that these vacations are for off peak season travel. Peak season travel is available at peak season rates. Certain day and time of flight restrictions apply. This document was given to the [redacted] at the time of the presentation.#2. This is the document that [redacted] sent to our office that covers the issues that were brought up in the complaint. This document was email to the [redacted] after their activation payment was received. As you can see they needed to know the surcharge for the April 2015 reservation request. They have also underlined the Monday and Tuesday departure date for the flight. This document also covers our refund policy. It covers that the Travel Center is not responsible for any advertisement of the product you purchased or written and verbal agreements made by the company you purchased it from. If you have any questions about the package please call that company. If the [redacted] had questions they should have called our office.# 3. This is the document that was emailed to the [redacted] concerning the Peak Season Travel.#4. Is a copy of the email correspondence to and from the [redacted].I am sorry that the [redacted] feels that they have been swindled by the Travel Center. Here at the Travel Center as you can see and read by all the attached documents we make every attempt to ensure that each client is aware of the fees and taxes that needs to be paid. This should have explained that the vacation is not FREE. Until travel dates are submitted for a quote there is no way to know what the cost could be since airlines, hotel fees change daily depending on availability. The Travel Center just cannot insure that the clients read the documents before signing them or take the time to call our customer service number to ask questions prior to requesting their booking dates. The vacation that the [redacted] selected was for a 4 day 3 nights, all- inclusive with air. Since the Travel Center is not the booking company we cannot know if any other request were made to upgrade the room or extend the vacation. We also cannot insure that the vacation will not be taken at their second date selection in November since we are not the booking company. That is why no refunds are given once the booking company is involved. The [redacted] stated the cost was nearly $1,000 dollars. This was for a 4 day 3 nights allinclusive hotel with round trip air is not a bad price since all their food, beverages alcohol and nonmotorized sports and entertainment is included. Less than $500.00 per person for an all-inclusive vacation is not a bad price since they are also taking a loss in pay in that cost of a vacation. So in reality the vacation is very inexpensive for what they are getting.I suggest that this case be closed. Since all of the [redacted] concerns have been address in thesigned documents I have enclosed and in this letter. If they have the advertising issues please have them contact the company that they attended the presentation with.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The Travel Center's response to this complaint is totally unacceptable and incorrect. My specific response to their letter is as follows:

Review: I talked to a [redacted] at the travel center at ###-###-####

He said I was paying for a cruise for 5 plus airfare. He quoted me a price and said this was a deal that I had only a few hours left on this deal to pay. He said we had to pay over the phone by check and make it out too the [redacted] Network. Paid by phone 1 thousand dollars. Then he said we would be getting our package in the mail and to pick what cruise we wanted. What we got was just some paperwork to fill out and request for more money to send in to the universal travel center. After they received there money they sent us more things to fill out to another agency along with more money to a fantasea cruise that we have to send in. I have called the travel center several times because I was lied to over the phone. What I thought I was paying for a cruise I found out I was paying into a program for a year and they give me a bonus vacation as long as we meet all requirements and they can accommodate our dates we want to travel.

Dear **. [redacted],

In response to a letter that our office received concerning a **. [redacted] in reading the letter and pulling **. [redacted] file the amount of the refund request was not the amount of the payment that The Travel Center received from **. [redacted]. It is possible that **. [redacted] has confused the companies that the refund request was to be sent to. Since we do not have a [redacted] working here and the 888 telephone number is not to The Travel Center the amount **. [redacted] is requesting cannot be refunded by the Travel Center.

If **. [redacted] would like to cancel her vacation voucher all **. [redacted] needs to do is send a refund request to our refund email address of [redacted] to start the refund process for the funds collected by The Travel Center. **. [redacted] will need to mail back the vacation voucher unused and unregistered, not written on or damaged the vouchers need to be in like new condition. This will only start the refund for the Travel Center payment received from **. [redacted]. Or if **. [redacted] would like to extend her vacation for another year **. [redacted] would need to request the extension from the same email address. That department will respond with instructions as to obtain that request. If **. [redacted] would like the $1,000.00 dollar portion of the refund request **. [redacted] must contact [redacted] Travel for that refund since she indicated that was the company that the payment was made to.

Since the refund process instructions have been given please close this case as satisfied.

Sincerely

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The Travel Center was the ones that took the check by phone for [redacted] travel. And it was a [redacted] that took the check from [redacted] and it was at a number ###-###-#### at ext. [redacted]. Im am requesting that they get that thousand dollars back from [redacted] because the Travel Center was the ones who took the check by phone and also lied about the vacation what we thought we were purchasing. I have all the paperwork that was sent to us, phone numbers we were initially calling, bank statement when the check was made out and to whom. Whether or not they fired this person [redacted] who took the check by phone, he said he was employed by The travel Center and at the time I could reach him at that number and ext. So who ever was working for the [redacted] Center at that number at that time is responsible and he was employed for the Travel center. I'm getting a little frustrated with this whole matter saying they dont know any of us, what kind of business are they running. If I have to I will take legal action. I want a full refund of the money we sent in for this vacation we thought we were purchasing. The whole thing started with the travel center, I expect them to refund the money we paid into this. We never would have know about [redacted] or [redacted] if we didnt go through The Travel Center first.

Review: I paid for a trip advertised for one price but it a different price.$149 per person +$69processinf fee. But its+ $99 processing fee + hotel and taxes.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is [redacted]. I am a middle school teacher in [redacted] I purchased a vacation from [redacted] aka [redacted] on Dec.31, 2012. I told the agent [redacted] that I would be traveling on May 17th to [redacted]. The gentleman [redacted] ext [redacted] explained to me that I would receive my package in the mail in about 2 weeks and that May 17th is fine. When I receive the package I then will call and pay an additional $69 per person. This indeed happened.... then it went downhill from there.

1) When I called the Travel Center and paid my $69 per person they informed me that I would be receiving an email from them.Once I sign and fax or mail back the form then I would receive my vouchers certified mail.

2) It took so long to get the email that I had to email and call the Travel Center twice. ([redacted]-Supervisor) After a nasty email and a call back to [redacted] aka [redacted] I finally received my email.

3) I signed and faxed the paperwork the same day and called to see if it was received. It was and then I was told that my certified letter would be mailed off on Feb.14. I asked "Is this the last step to receiving my vacation" The agent said yes! She told me that my vouchers would be in the package and the number to call to make my reservation.

4) I received the package on Feb.19. I was planning to call the agent right then to book my trip and hope that 2 days would not matter. But when I opened the package there was no voucher just a "Romantic Getaway" for $99 per person.

5) I called the Travel Center and [redacted] and they both told me that the $99 was the taxes and hotel fees. I said no one said anything about taxes and hotel fees and there is nothing in my paperwork says anything about more fees. She said I'm sorry no one told you but that's what it is. So that's what you have to pay.

6) On the form that I received from the Travel Center was a business called "[redacted]" so I called. The agent explained to me that that $99per person was a processing fee and not taxes and hotel fees. She said it would be another 2 months before I would receive the paperwork for taxes and hotel fees. So before I payed them I should contact the Travel Center and [redacted].

My Certificate Code is [redacted] she said the PF stands for Processing Fee.

7) So I called Customer Service at [redacted] aka [redacted] and the Travel Center. They both told me that the $99 was for taxes and fees. When I told both agents that is not hotel taxes and fees and I was told it was a processing fee they began to argue with me So I told both agents that I want my money back. $450.00 from [redacted] and $276.00 from the Travel Center. I am a middle school teacher and I do not have any extra money to give away to these big fraudulent companies. I was able to speak to and correspond via email with [redacted] at [redacted]. He said that he cannot refund my money unless the Travel Center refunds my money. [redacted] from [redacted] informed me that if I do not receive a refund from the Travel Center that I will not receive an refund from him.

I really hope that you can help with this matter. In today's economy it is very difficult to save money. I sacrificed to send my son on a trip, not to give it away to big fraudulent companies working together to cheat hard working people.

PS

I have also been in touch with [redacted] and she advised me that her comany does not sell their vacations they are won. So she had no idea why I paid the Travel Center money for a trip that is not supposed to cost anything. She informed me that she would be looking into this also.

Thank you,

(Less)Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of $267.00

To whom it may concern,

I am writing in regards to our refund that we are asking to be issued. When I originally purchased we bought three couples vacations with Check # [redacted] on 2-24-14 in the amount of $800.00. I purchased 3 due to two of them being gifts. I did submit a letter to ATTN: Katie on March 25, 2014 (faxed to ###-###-####) to let her know there was 6 in our group. And that they would be gifts and we would like to be together as a group.

Then, To the travel center I sent $414.00 to be for our reservations. This was sent by using United States money order on 3-19-14.

Lastly, $600.00 was sent into [redacted] Attn: [redacted] by money order on 4-16-14 and now they are refunding this amount with a money order due to me purchasing 6 tickets. They would not accept this due to them all being in my name Helen Nash. That is why in the beginning I was asked to write a letter notifying them that they were gifts and not all my own tickets.

So, now I am asking for our refunds as we cannot use this vacation for the 6 of us. We were originally told we could book and go as early as June 1st and now it is past that and we are unable to book our trip due to our money being rejected. In total we need the $800.00 and $414.00 that was submitted so we may proceed to book a trip elsewhere.

Thanks for your attention in this matter.

June 30, 2014Dear [redacted],In reading the complaint letter and pulling [redacted] file these are the documents we have on file and the answer to her questions. On or before March 25, 2014 we received [redacted]s activation fee of $414.00 for 6 people for airfare vouchers. One of our customer service reps called [redacted] to go over the guide lines of our bonus vacation vouchers. The note from our agent states [redacted] fully understood and is faxing a letter. Once we received the fax letter stating that the 6 would go together and that the other vouchers would be gifts we processed the activation fee.On April 1, 2014 we received the booking information needed form along with another letter stating that she understood that the Travel Center could not guarantee that all travelers could travel together. She once again asked for all the vouchers to be sent to her address so she could give them as a gift not to use them all together. On one of the signed document it goes over the booking company's very explicit instructions on the terms and conditions of the vacation vouchers. Also covers payments requirements and if they are voided due to customer error you cannot be reissued another voucher or any money collected by the Travel Center cannot be refunded. The other signed document covers some vacations are for two travelers only. Additional passengers can be added at the time of booking for some vacations. This is why a customer rep from our office called and we have two letters from [redacted] stating that she would give them away as gifts not have combined them.We made every attempt to explain the procedure to [redacted] to have all three vouchers in different names and addresses that each voucher is only good for two travelers and additional travelers can be added at the time of booking, but if she attempted to submit them all together we could not insure the booking company would allow it. That is why we requested this in writing the terms and conditions were signed and faxed in with her booking needed form.[redacted] has been sent to another booking company. [redacted] cannot continue to request travel documents from different agencies and get a refund.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: The company you paired us up with now gave us two propositions. First one we asked to add on an extra day since we didn't figure it would be that much. It was an additional $341 PER person to stay. No options of hotels this is what they assigned for us. We told them that is way to expensive as we have so much already invested. The 2nd option was the 3 days and two nights which is what it should be. It was an additional $241 a person. (Again this trip was not supposed to cost this to begin with.) They had us leaving [redacted] airport at 11:00 at night the first day, staying that next day, the third day we would leave there at 6:30 am. This is giving us 24 hours there. Would you or anyone else spend that much money to stay a day. NO! Why are we paying over $200 additional dollars. Where is all of our money going. We were told we could go as early as JUNE and we still aren't set up.

July 17, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the rejection letter your office sent it does not cover any new issues. We are not the company that sold [redacted] the vacation package. We explained our procedures to [redacted] in writing and over the telephone. [redacted] was aware of the additional costs we just could not give them the actual price since we are not the booking company. I will once again refer you back to the signed documents enclosed in my last correspondence with your office. It covers all the issues also the letter that [redacted] sent that she was aware of these terms.I feel that [redacted] needs to take these concerns back to the company that sold the package. Since we are not that company we do not know what fees were paid and what they were for nor do we have any knowledge of their conversations. All of the questions that [redacted] has need to be answered by that company.Since the Travel Center has provided [redacted] with two different booking companys. The first company voided her documents because she did not follow the instructions given. The second provided her the vacation dates requested. I am sorry that [redacted] did not agree with the travel times of the flight. I feel the Travel Center has fulfilled our requirements to [redacted] and that the case should be closed. [redacted] can book her vacation with the company that provided her the quote or request another one with specific guide lines as to the time she would like to travel. Since the Travel Center has completed [redacted] request no further correspondence is required.Sincerely,Donna Comptroller

I am rejecting this response because: We mailed The Travel center on 3/19/14 $414 to [redacted] Maryland [redacted]. We did send this by check so we have proof you did receive it. We mailed this along with $800 to another company then another $150 to the reservation center. I know you are not responsible for the last two but you are responsible for the $414.00. Yes, this is the second travel center you referred us to and we were not supposed to pay another 245.00 per person for a trip that was supposed to cost $133 a person. So you are wrong. We are not happy that your reservation center wants another $240 a person. We are not happy we have been lied to. We are not happy that you all will NOT stand behind your sale. You are beating around the bush with your responses that it is not your fault. We are not paying 800+414+150+(243*6)=$2804 to pay for a trip to [redacted] that was supposed to cost $798 for 6. If you refund out money OR send us on a trip with the money we have already paid we will be happy. But we will not be paying another 240 a person. How do we know they arne't going to take that money and do what your doing. We cannot take any more chances. We don't have money and this was supposed to be a family thing that has turned into a family nightmare. This is wrong.

Review: Was promised over the phone and then received what started a whole different set of rules that involved contionous asking of money to fulfill the original promise and none of it was refundable and did not find out it was misleading and incorrect until after nearly $300 into it. The company does not give you any idea of what is need to make a decision before sending money and than offers nothing for it except failed promises and a cost that is far more than what could be obtain without their services. Response:

June 5, 2014Dear [redacted],After reading the letter to your agency from [redacted] and pulling her file this is the steps that need to be taken. In [redacted]s Letter she stated that she was told that the Travel Center was a booking agency. This leads me to believe she is upset with the fist company that sent her to our company. I have enclosed copies of documents that [redacted] signed that will clear up her concern. It also covers our email correspondence to and from [redacted].1. On the first document that [redacted] sent in with her activation payment it clearly states to activate your vacation program. This is for the activation and processing of the vacation program. The Travel Center is only responsible for providing you with the proper vacation vouchers and is not responsible for the advertisement of this product.2. On the second document that [redacted] signed it covers that the customer will need to contact the booking company. This promotion is for nonpeak season travel with Monday and Tuesday departures. Travel times and departure dates may be bypassed with the knowledge that this violates your promotional offer and will subject you to a possible surcharge. [redacted] choses to book during peak season and not to travel on the Monday or Tuesday departure dates she chose July 25 thru July 28, 2014 which falls on a Friday. On the two signed documents it covers our refund policy.3. On the third document provided it shows our conversations and email to [redacted] and the outcome of her concerns. We attempted to assist her with. Once the customer is dealing with the booking company the Travel Center cannot help. [redacted] stated that the booking company had not contacted her form a week ago. On document 4 is the correspondence that [redacted] had with the booking company they are still waiting on her reply for the new travel dates to lower the cost. We requested these from the booking company in an attempt to assist [redacted].5. On our email correspondence we covered her refund request questions. Please instruct [redacted] to respond to the email form the booking company further assistance. Here at the Travel Center we make every attempt to ensure customers know the steps that are involved in booking their vacations. Review: In March of 2014 we received an invitation to hear an hour long speech concerning vacations. We were told we would get a free cruise. We placed a $100 deposit and was put in touch with [redacted] ( I am going to file a complaint concerning them as well ) They ask for a deposit of $138 and were told someone would contact us with reservations on booking a cruise. That was April and I waited a week or so and called and was told someone would call me back. That never happen. So I called last week and spoke with a lady who offered us a booking for a cruise and told me it was going to cost $1,000.00 or more, yet we were told all we would have to pay is just taxes, not anything else and it would be free. This is false advertising.

I am rejecting this response because:

My Husband and I were scammed, we were told that if we sat and listen to an hour sales pitch, (which we did) we would receive a FREE cruise and that never happen. It

turned out to be something that would have cost a $1000 or more. Nothing of what we were told was free! I want the total amount of $138 that we sent to them by money order because we never received a free vacation cruise. I can return the paper that I'm sure didn't cost them $25 to make the voucher, yet I expect the full amount to be paid back because we were lied to.

I am rejecting this response because:What they stated in this letter is not true, they told us that all we had to do was pay the taxes and that's why I sent a money order. They mis-lead us in to thinking that's all we would have to pay. This company is a scam and again I expect my full refund of $138 that I gave in good faith expecting to go on a cruise that was told to my husband and I that it would be free and again they lied it was never going to be free. Please don't close this case without this party giving me my $138 that I stated I gave in good faith hoping to have a nice vacation but instead was lied to.

Review: The business sent an advertisement to my company via fax. The deal was for a trip to Hawaii with round trip airfare (it also included other information regarding other trips, but I wanted Hawaii). I called to reserve this deal. They stated I had to pay them 635.35 to reserve the deal and receive information on the package. I paid them this amount with two check numbers over the phone from my checking account. I received the package information giving me all these additional ter** and additional charges for the trip package and different companies information. I completed the package information and sent it in. All of a sudden I was getting the run around on trip details when trying to complete this trip package by several different people and then I was told I needed to send even more money to get the trip. I sent another 138 (check). I never got any trip out of all this money. They told me that I would be getting a trip to Hawaii. Then I was told that the trip did not exist and needed to pick a different island on Hawaii. So, I picked Maui. I have not received any trip and they have kept my money. If the deal didn't exist why did they cash my checks. They then proceeded to ask me for more money. The trip was only supposed to cost 299.98 per person. They constantly switched me to different people/different companies and nothing happened. I have paid all this money have not received a trip. This company has scammed me out of money. I believe it is a bait and switch company. One company offers you this deal for a trip and then you pay and they switch you to another company that gives you the run around. There were tons of secondary people. I could never get a straight answer out of any of them. Everything was time sensitive. I kept sending stuff to them and never got anything for it. All the additional ter** included these time sensitive stuff. I kept sending them the stuff they wanted and NEVER got the trip.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for the amounts I have paid them to date. 635.35 plus the additional 138.

I am rejecting this response because: The Travel Center is in fact the company in which I spoke to in regards to the trip I wished to book. In fact they are the ones that informed me that the trip I originally wanted was not available. Also, The Travel Center is the one who endorsed one of the checks that was cashed on my bank account. The Travel Center is the company who has continuously given me the run around in regards to the trip. They have continuously given me to different representatives with out ever resolving the issue and just wanted more money with out any assurance or documentation that I would be receiving a trip. I find it ironic that The Travel Center is familiar with all the policies that relate to this transaction, but fails to take accountability. I never changed trips prior to The Travel Center sending me my vouchers. In fact they made the process so confusing and continuously gave me the run around that I want a refund. The services you have promised to offer do not exist. If they did the complaints that are also on the Revdex.com website wouldn't be there. I just wish I would have seen them before I even got involved with this scam. Also, the only thing I ever received was more and more paperwork that I would turn in and receive brochures to places in return.

Dear **. [redacted],

In response to a rejection letter our office received concerning a **. [redacted] in pulling her file this is what I found.

I have enclosed signed copies to prove that **. [redacted] did in fact change her vacation destination. In the letter **. [redacted] claims not to have done. If she would have read the documents prior to signing and sending in the request twice all of the question and complaints **. [redacted] has is out lined in these letters could have been avoided.

The signed documents I have enclosed clearly state that the Travel Center is not the booking company. Once travel documents and booking codes are ordered and purchased by The Travel Center at your request there cannot be any refunds of any fees collected by the Travel Center. The bonus vacation that you have chosen is separate from the Travel Center and is not a Travel Center Product. This bonus vacation will be handled by the chosen vacation provider. The Travel Center is not responsible for any advertisement of the product you purchased or written and verbal agreements made by the company you purchased it from, if you have any questions about the package please call that company. All vacations and pricing are subject to change without notice prior to confirmed booking.

The only payment that the Travel Center received is the payment that **. [redacted] mail to us. We do not give our customers the run around we make every attempt to answer every question in complete detail and we did not offer or sell **. [redacted] the vacation she said was purchased. As I stated in my other responses to the letters **. [redacted] sent your organization **. [redacted] is confusing two different companies or is just not wiling to go back to the first company.

There will be no further correspondence from The Travel Center. This case should be closed since ail of the questions and concerns have been addressed. Please advise **, [redacted] to go back to the first original company to ask them the questions.

Sincerely:

Review: The Travel Center sent me a bonus vacation package for 2 roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S. They required a $58.00 payment which I paid in order for the vacation provider - [redacted] - selected by The Travel Center to process the tickets. After 6 months waiting, no tickets issued to me.Desired Settlement: I complied to The Travel Center's conditions and requirements, but the paperwork was mishandled/lost by its own vacation provider, The Travel Center shall refund $58.00 to me.

Review: On October 28, 2014 I started the process of booking an all inclusive vacation and 2 months later I was STILL waiting to even BOOK the vacation!! I was asked if I was able to give a 90 day notice back in October and I said yes, we were looking to go in February for my parents 30th Anniversary. Here it is 2 months later and I have yet to here from any travel agent to book this vacation. Below is the breakdown of fees paid to the TRAVEL CENTER:

On October 28, 2014 I paid $420.00 for 2 adults with check #[redacted].0 (This was an over the phone payment).

On October 31, 2014 I paid an additional $210.00 for 2 more adults with check #[redacted]. (This was an over the phone payment).

On November 7, 2014 I paid $276.00 for the activation fee of $69.00 per person with check #[redacted].

On December 12, 2014 I paid $100.00 with check #[redacted] for the $50 per couple deposit.

THIS IS A GRAND TOTAL OF $1,006.00. MY VRC # FOR TRAVEL CENTER IS [redacted]

I called several times over the past 2 months and kept getting the run around. I eventually told customer service that I just wanted a refund since they clearly were not going to honor my purchased vacation. I was told they only process refunds via email, which I did on Friday, January 2, 2014. This afternoon I received an email stating that had no record of my payments for check [redacted] and [redacted] totaling $630.00 and that if I was was granted a refund it would only be for check #[redacted] and [redacted] in the amount of $376.00. I told them I paid over $1,000 and expect a full refund. When I assured them I would be contacting the Revdex.com, they told me this:

"A complaint with the Revdex.com will be resolved before a refund is issued, or the conversation continued about one. Given this information, we will not be in contact with you until the matter has been resolved. In order to find out who you paid, you would have to locate the information in your paperwork, as we are unable to assist you".

So here we are......I am out $1,006.00 and they pretend they don't know who I paid so they don't have to refund my money.

I should have looked up this company BEFORE giving them my money, but now that I have researched the company, I see that they have 88 complaints against them, 42 of which were just in the last year for the SAME issues. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK!!!

Thank you,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: My Desired outcome is to receive my total monies given to The Travel Center in the amount of $1,006.00 Even more so, to hopefully put them out of business with letting the world know via social media and other outlets how shady, untrustworthy, and corrupt this company is.

Review: We received vouchers for two "FREE" domestic airline tickets, having only to pay taxes and fees, which we were aware. We had to pay [redacted] vacations $49/pp to get to the next step. We did that via personal check. Then we had to send the Travel Center another $50, which was supposed to be a deposit towards the taxes and fees we would pay for our "FREE" flight. I was skeptical. I emailed a Mr. C[redacted] at [redacted] Vacations and he made me feel slightly more confident. I also spoke to two different women at The Travel Center. One went so far as to tell me I could pick specific flights that I wanted, so I purchases a $50 money order and mailed it in. I was then sent the instructions to request a quote, online. After filling out the online form, requesting the flight, destination and dates, following all of their rules to a perfect T, we were sent a quote. The quote came in at $341.50/per person. The flight I requested, at the time, was less than this, including all taxes and fees. I called the Travel Center and I was told to email the company who sent the quote. I did so. To date, I have not gotten any response from them, but I have gotten a response from the Travel Center telling me I cannot get a refund once I request a quote. Had I known that the quote would have been so ridiculous, I would not have sent this request in. Also, I was told that if I want another quote, different from the first one, it would cost me another $25. This is a scam.Desired Settlement: I believe this company should give their clients what they were promised. Whether it be a vacation, airline tickets or whatever. If they promise something, that is exactly what it should be and provide all written proof.

November 21, 2014 Dear [redacted],In response to the letter dated November 11, 2014 from the Travel Center, I disagree. [redacted] vacations was the first stop on the scam tour they are running. We paid them $98.00 via personal check #[redacted], a copy of which is attached. Fun Time Travel, which has the same address as the Travel Center, we paid $50 via money order, a copy of which is attached. This $50 was supposed to be a deposit towards my taxes and fees. Yes it is a different suite number, but it’s all the same company.I am completely upset by this entire process. Someone needs to take responsibility for this scam. [redacted] vacation promised two FREE airline tickets. All we had to pay were any government fees and taxes. Now, the quote I received was for $683. That is an awful lot of taxes and fees. I have since purchased my tickets to Las Vegas. The total I paid for tickets, fees and taxes was $584.00 for two people. So how was their quote legitimate? Of course, the Travel Center said they didn’t understand how that is, but if I would like another quote, just send in $25.00 more for a second quote. SCAM. Below is the actual fees and taxes we paid on our upcoming trip to Las Vegas. One WayTotal for 2 traveler(s) in US DollarsBase Fare (x2): $243.72 Federal Tax $48.28Domestic Taxes and Fees:Passenger Facility Tax $9.00 Security Fee $11.20 Segment Fee $8.00 U.S. Customs User Fee $0.00 Travel insurance Fee $0.00Fare $290.20*Special Service Requests $0.00TOTAL $290.20If you total this round trip, it comes out to $92.96 in taxes and fees, which we would have been more than happy to pay. We followed all of the rules, traveling on the days in which the Travel Center told us. It is much more than 90 days in advance, as we are vacationing in August. So I am completely baffled as to how they came up with $341.50/person.I originally gave these companies the benefit of the doubt. Now all they have done is screwed me out of $148. I would like my money back. Honestly, I do not care which of these companies gives me back my money, but I want it. After all, it is only fair. I did not get what I was promised. Therefore, I should be entitled to my full refund. I believe, [redacted] and The Travel Center to be all one entity. Please do what you can, with the evidence I have given you, to get my refunds please.Sincerely,

Review: This company is in with the [redacted], they have scammed me out of $846.00. What started out as a nice Jamacian vacation for our (2) graduating seniors has turned into a terrible fiscal and it has been 3 months and I still do not have the trip booked and these people knew along about the 90 day window I was trying to stay in before our seniors start college and now I have been surcharged for being out of peak season etc.. it has been one thing after another and each step that do not disclose everything, want your payment and then you still dont receive the confirmation and you call them and you stay on hold lengthy times and then they hang up on you or you call and get a recording. It is clear I have been scammed.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $846.00 for the $570.00 that was given to [redacted] and the $276.00 given to the Travel Center for the (so called activation fees)

Review: I purchased a cruise for my family based on an offer that was faxed to our office. It indicated the Travel Center was having a Spring Liquidation Sale. I purchased was advertised as a 8 day/7 night cruise to the Bahamas with round trip airfare included. I had to give them a check over the telephone for over $700. After I received their paperwork, I then sent in another $70 per person to activate our cruise. I know come to find out that our airfare was cancelled and we are not eligible for roundtrip air because we did not indicate we were traveling on a Tuesday. The cruise will cost me an additional $1500. The people at the Travel Center will not allow me to speak to anyone in charge. They are rude, evasive when I call and will not provide me the name of their company. They would not even give me the email address to their legal department. I am not getting the product that was advertised and I feel I just gave $700 away to a scam artist. I spoke with a lady named [redacted] at extension [redacted]. She did not tell me that what I was really purchasing was a membership in a travel club. She is now unavailable to speak to when I call. [redacted] assured me that I would not have to pay any additional fees except for taxes and port fees. She also assured me this would not be more than $250.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded in full. Review: I attended a 90 minute sales presentation by a travel club (not Travel Center) and received a promotional gift voucher for attending.

The voucher is from the Travel Center, and offers a cruise. The offer terms state the cruise voucher is for an inside cabin, and I am responsible for port fees and taxes approximately $55 per day. It also requires a $59 registration fee.

I paid my fee and submitted a cruise request. I received a price quote for the full fare; same $ as pricing I got from [redacted] and other online cruise pricings. No discount, and much more than 'port fees and taxes'.

I researched port fees. They are the costs imposed by the port of call by the port; the cruise line does not establish port fees. Any travel agent can tell you what the port fees are for a particular cruise.

I told the Travel Center that I know what the port fees and taxes are for the cruise, and that I was willing to pay that amount. To no avail. They said "The price quote stands as-is"

I sought help from the travel club that gave me the voucher, [redacted] To no avail. They defended the reputation of Travel Center, a company with a D- Revdex.com rating.

I understand there are fees but they want free then exspect me to go when they want and pick 3 dates for them to choose . Its my trip so I should be able to use it / go when its good for me not them. And I feel I ask for my refund in a timely matter and feel I am being taken advantage of. And for these reasons and the reasons in the first letter I ask this not to be closed . Again there response doesnt address my concerns . Again I requested a refund or a set date that works for me no them to take a trip . I can not pick 3 different dates .I can only pick the dates my company allows me to take vacation . This is surpose to be my trip my free trip not theres so its when I can go not one of 3 different dates. I have asked for a refunds do to the fact that its surpose to be free when all they do is ask for more money and they want to tell me what dates I can go not what date iam free to go. So again to fix this would be a full refund or a trip now for next year for the date I want not 3 dates for them to say which one they say is good. But as off now I prefer a refund.

The letter also states that funds were paid to [redacted] to purchase the booking documents on my behalf. Two hundred dollars was taken out of my account and as per the booking company, myself and a friend were paying for 2 roo** for a cruise. We then were told that the only remaining fees left would be a $69 processing fee per adult and then $125 for port taxes per person. We were ok with this. We received the information from The Travel Center requesting the $69 processing fee. My friend and I sent in the $69 a piece fee. We then received information from a company named [redacted] for one room only. Confused, I called The Travel Center and started asking questions. The lady I spoke with told me that when the vacation was book, only one room was booked. The lady told me that she could not help me that I needed to call the booking company. Dear **. [redacted],

in response to a letter our office received concerning a **. [redacted] in pulling her file this is what we found. In the letter to your office the main issues are with the advertising company that the $200.00 was taken out of her checking account. Here at the Travel Center we do not advertise nor do we take our activation fees over the phone all payments must be mail in. In the documents that **. [redacted] sent to our office with her payment it states that double occupancy is required we only received payment for two travelers this entitles them to one room since double occupancy is required. On the booking information form she mailed to our office indicated only two adult travelers and one child the child will be added at the time of booking. All the documents that are in her file she

has signed.

**. [redacted] will need to go back to the company that gave her the information that two cabins would be provided. Here at the Travel Center the information we provided was correct that only one room would be issued since there were only two adult travelers and double occupancy is required per room. Since the booking documents have been used no refund is possible from the Travel Center as stated on the document that was signed by **. [redacted] when requesting her booking documents. The product that **. [redacted] requested and paid for from the Travel Center has been used per her statement in her letter. The terms and conditions were mailed to **. [redacted] from the company that advertised her selection options this was done prior to sending in the payment to the Travel Center.

Please refer **. [redacted] to the company that she is having the advertising issues with. This information can be found in the documents that were mail to **. [redacted] from that company. Please close this case since the Travel Center is not that company and we made every attempt to provide the current terms and conditions for the items she requested.

I am rejecting this response because:

No terms from the booking company was received before the check for $69 was mailed to The Travel Center. I had originally emailed The Travel Center asking about booking fees per their information that was sent to me. I was assured that no additional fees would be required by the booking company, who was not them, via email which I am attaching. Per the booking company, I could not even look at travel dates without sending $100 in processing fees. Upon calling Adventures to Remember customer service, I did discover that they did in fact book us 2 rooms, double occupancy with one adult and one child in each room. The Travel Center is refusing this and saying that only one room was booked. I would have NEVER sent the $69 fee in had I known that we had to choose vacation dates with the booking company that were 30 days apart, no guarantee of of preferred sailing date and have to submit more money. I have the envelopes that show dates received of all information and the booking company information was sent 3 weeks after the $69 was sent in, thus making The Travel Center liars. I have not responded to the booking company, nor sent them any money so the statement they are saying is also false.

Review: Received a fax for what sounded like an awesome vacation package through the Travel Center. I followed and agreed with everything to be able to take this vacation. It has been a year and still no vacation. I have been filling out paperwork for almost a year now just to take this vacation and just received yet another form to fill out with yet another 90 day clause before booking this vacation. The booking agent agree to refund the portion of many that was paid to them so why is it that The Travel Center is not cooperative in returning a refund for a product they advertised. I don't understand why these companies can not be upstanding and refund the money back especially since I have not received a product. I request a refund but they told me that I only could be refund within 72 hours of purchase and that since I filled out the voucher that I was provided a product. The product I was paid for was a vacation not just a voucher to say I want to go on vacation. I was waiting to receive a vacation....so where is it? Well, if I had known that this was gonna be the worst experience then I would not have purchased the package at all. This company is flawed and they need to be stopped for the bad services they are providing. Not to mention when I call to request a refund they were rude. I was told things that just did not make any sense. I just want my refund back for not being given a product.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of $438.
