Kirk,The breakdown in communication started with my agent. Which I explained to EVERYONE that I spoke with. I even spoke with him from the accident scene, he also called me once I arrived at my place of employment that morning. Where he asked for details of the accident, where it took place and for the report number from the accident. For all intent and purpose, I believed was for filing the accident claim. I did not speak to my agent at any point after that.In fact, I did not know that the claim had not been filed until I heard from Ashley. Stating that when she attempted to contact American Family about the claim, they knew nothing about it. At which point, I began the process myselfFrom that moment on, I tried to keep track of the process through the app on my phone, during my business hours. At which point I believed my claim was being handled by Jonathan ***. I had received voicemail messages from Damian ***. That I did return when I was able. I REPEATEDLY made it clear to him in both email correspondence(in which he was not good in responding to) spoken conversation and voicemail, that it was easier for me to communicate via email because of my work schedule and my inability to take personal phone calls while I am at my place of employment. The fact that I took my car to the repair facility as soon as possible, I was unaware of what all could be wrong. It is a leased vehicle, I didn't want to cause more damage by driving it. I was not anticipating to be in a rental car for a MONTH! I thought it would be taken care of with in the week. I thought I had paid for coverage on my insurance that I have had for YEARS! That would cover the rental. Not only that once the claim was filed, there was foot dragging on getting the approval to the repair facility to get the repairs done. So, regardless of how long the amount of time it took to do the work on the vehicle. How long did it take to approve it? Besides the fact, I was lead to believe all along that I would be reimbursed for the rental. Even received an email from MrDamian *** himself with an exact amount. Of course that was prior to the "investigation" where it was determined that I was to blame for the cluster of this ridiculousness. Where the reimbursement of my out of pocket expense of over $was knocked down to $120. So, stating to me the "obvious" by repeatedly serving me with the declaration page of my policy of where it shows the coverage, means nothing to me. It basically shows me exactly what insurance companies are known forCharging the customer for coverage that would make sense in a "perfect world" but when it comes down to having to use the coverage, and for pay outthe customer is left empty handed.Respectfully.....Rebecca ***
