I did not get miles on the tires I got less than on the tire and in all honesty they should have been changed long before thatBecause at that point they were showing wires through the tireI have never had a tire on one my my cars wear out that quicklyI had the tire changed out with new ones on 11/07/As I had mentioned previously the tires were a danger to me and my familyFurther more the gentleman I spoke with at the nicholasville location *** did not offer me 1/off he offered me $off per tire which only covers the installation fee of the new tiresIf *** had offered me 1/off I would have taken it as that would have been fairHowever he did not so I had the tires replacedAt this point I do not need new tires anymoreI even tried to take the old tire back up to tire discounters just in case they needed them for a warranty claim with the manufacturer but *** refused and said he did not want them*** had a very hostile attitude and was very rude at this point. So I loaded them back into my car and disposed of them

Our Director of Operations and Regional Manager have investigated this complaint. Approximately seven months ago our Insurance Company, State Auto paid to have the transmission of the customer’s car replaced. Recently the customer experienced transmission issuesThe vehicle was taken to
the repair facility that replaced the transmission and they determined the transmission fluid had engine coolant in itFurther investigation determined the transmission cooler, which is part of the radiator had failed, allowing the two fluids to mixThe contamination of the transmission fluid with coolant is what caused the transmission to failWhile we are sympathetic to the customer’s frustration, there is no negligence on Tire Discounters partLet us know if you need anything further to update this ticket. Thank you for alerting us to this matter

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I do not accept Tire discounters offerThey do not want to correct their technicians poor workmanshipMost likely the technician over torqued the nut that holds the tire to the studHe could have most likely caused a crack in the studIt then may have broken after it left their shop. I know that it was not broken when I took the vehicle for the tire repair to their shopThe vehicle did not have any repair of any type between the time I took it in for the original repair of the tireand I took it back to show them the broken stud. The only way I will pay for the part is if they pay for the repair at the auto repair place where I want to have it repairedI will not allow them to pick the place where the vehicle is to be repaired nor will I trust Tire Discounters to do the repairI will get the labor cost from the auto repair where I want to have it repairedI will then provide that repair cost to Tire Discounters and I want the money for the repair paid to me before I take it to the auto repairThat way I will be able to pay the bill in full when the repair is complete. This is the only way that I will pay for the part. This is my only offer. Here is my Proposal. I will pay for the part under these conditions: They must pay for the labor at the auto repair shop that I useI will get the labor cost from the shop on their shop repair sheetI will send that information to the Tire Discounters Corporate Office or wherever they want it sent. I want the Money for the cost of the Labor sent to Me *** ** ***That way I will have the money to pay to the auto repair shop that I use for repairs. 3. I will not allow Tire Discounters to do the repair nor will allow them to pick the place to do the repair after the poor workmanship that they produced. This is my offer!

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Because the offer is very poorly worded, it can be read as purchasing tires (using whatever payment method you choose), or spending $or more with their credit cardPer the rules of grammar, the comma should be placed just before the word “with” to properly link participlesIn fact, I explained that I very rarely engage in rebate offers because they are such a hassle and I never would have participated in this one if I read this with ambiguity to begin with.I explained this to a Tire Discounters representative who was courteous and did not dispute my argumentShe called me back last week and offered a free oil change, which I declined because I choose to change my own oilI offered an alternative resolution and she said she would call back again later, but I have enough heard again from her
