Tire Discounters, Inc. Reviews (288)

I have spoken to the store manager and regional Manager concerning this complaint. Tires were originally purchased on 7/15/and the customer has had vibration issues with them. It was pointed out to the customer the rims were the cause of the issue with flat spots and out of round
wheels. This type of damage can only occur with time and use, most often on roads that are not well taken care of. It is not possible to duplicate this type of damage on a tire install. On 8/5/(see attached invoice), this information was reviewed with the customer and in an attempt to work with the customer on it, we changed out all four tires at no charge to the customer. There was no change in the ride. We have discussed with the customer the possibility of changing the rims and working out a special price for him. At that time, he refused, but the offer remains open. Let us know if you need anything further to update this ticket or take care of Mr***

Tire Discounters acknowledges the damage to the brake system, which as the customer has stated we repaired at no charge to the customer. Unfortunately, when the previous Regional Manager made the offer of an in-store credit for the amount of the tires, it was not within his authority to do
that. As a result, it was voided by his supervisor. That decision has not changed. However, in a recent discussion with the current Regional Manager, he proposed a $TD Gift Card as customer good will. He has the authority to make this offer and we would like to propose this to the customer. Let us know if you need anything further to update this ticket or take care of MrBowen

The refund was processedWe just need to confirm with *** *** that it appeared back on her statementWe called and left a message, but have not heard back. Thanks!***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Tire Discounters’ response failed to address all the issues raised in my complaintMy complaint consisted of multiple parts and was not limited to the $refund that was promised by *** ***, my Sales Person on the date we agreed to exchange my silver rims for black rimsThe agreement to reduce the cost of the rims was due to the fact that Tire Discounters could not install the silver ringsI was believed Mr*** was operating in good faith, honest and truthful, especially when he stated I would have $refunded to my Credit CardAt no time did he or Tire Discounters state the document I had to sign to receive my refund was a Request for a Refund rather than an approvalHad it had made such a statement I would not have agreed to the black rims and demanded silver rims.In addition, prior to my car being taken to Tire Discounters on August 22nd the front end of my vehicle was not shakingOn that date Tire Discounters installed tires/rims and performed a 4-wheel alignmentApproximately four days later, August 26th, it replaced my rims as the new wheels required more offset to clear calipers. The shaking continued even though Tire Discounters continued to replace my tires with higher grade tiresBy now it was obvious that shaking problem was not being caused by the tires, rather the shaking was the result of the initial installation and apparent caliper adjustmentsThe shaking/vibration continues to this date in spite of the numerous return visits to Tire Discounters in hope of having my car returned to non-shaking/vibration condition prior to its initial repair.I have lost confidence in Tire Discounters workmanship and I am uncomfortable having it continue to experiment on my carHowever I am open to allowing Tire Discounters the opportunity to perform a complete inspection of the front end of my vehicle and provide me with a rental car, at its expense, during the time my car is in its possessionI am also agreeable to permitting another Shop perform the inspection and repair at Tire Discounters’ expense to include the cost of a rental carMy car has been out of service for too many days due to Tire Discounters’ inability to diagnose and repair my car after the problems that I believe it caused.Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I wanted to added a few things before settling on this agreement. This was only deemed mechanical failure, not improper install, by Tire Discounter themselves. A certified Kia dealer, and a picture taken less than hours after original repair, and a phone call asking why the grease was all over my car indicate this was improper install which caused all my rear differential fluid to leak out and lock up my rear end while my kids were in the car driving through the mountains!! My wife is not happy I am willing to settle for this offer but being a family of and one income we can not afford a lawyer to pursue this negligent work any further. Thanks Revdex.com for attempting to hold Tire Discounters accountable for their work but this time the bigger business wins unfortunately! In closing, I accept the $2,offer but only because we financially can't afford any additional expenses! This case will be considered closed once I actually receive the money offered

From time to time we install tires on wheels we do not sell. Occasionally there is a potential that unexpected cosmetic damage may occur due to the design of the wheel and/or the equipment we use to install the tires. When that is the case it is important to point this out to the
customer. If they would still like the work done, we have them sign a Release of Claims. Such was the case here. Please see the attached Release of Claims signed by MrPrivett. Let us know if you need anything further to update this ticket or take care of the customer

Mr*** *** has put in a complaint with the Revdex.com claiming Tire Discounters improperly lifted his girlfriend's vehicle (*** ***) Jeep Liberty The actual customer, *** ***, has been involved but complaints are being filed from her boyfriend *** ***.Tire
Discounters put four customer provided tires on November 15, at Tire Discounters in AmeliaGuest returned back to TD#Amelia months later stating that we improperly lifted his vehicle, or his girlfriend's, and caused damage to the underbody TD explained that we would not have lifted on the lift he was stating to install four tires He was adamant that it was done on a specific type of lift that every automotive repair facility, including *** ***, where he had the vehicle in between re-visiting TD in Amelia, stating that he is certain we did the damage RM met with both concerned customers at the location (#26) to look at alleged damages Vehicle does line up with lift pads, as would any automotive location, and explained to the guest we would not have lifted the vehicle as he is stating due to safety of the associates working on the vehicle Mr*** became very irate and stated he had appointment with his attorney if not paid for We explained that TD cannot claim responsibility due to the fact it had been almost months since we serviced the vehicle and the vehicle had been somewhere else that we can verify, let alone any other place not listed on Carfax (attached) Customer was upset with RM response and escalated to corporate office where *** *** (Operations Manager) began contact with customer to try and resolve *** *** was scheduled on 5-18-to meet with owner at Store in Amelia and she failed to show up for meetingCustomer also called about weeks ago threatening to protest in front of store in retaliation to this issueCustomer is verbally abusiveTo close, we do not claim any responsibility for this damage due to the time delay, other store(s) visited and miles driven in betweenPlease let us know if there is anything else we need to provide to show good faith in investigating this claim

The Regional Manager, Steven, researched the matter and contacted the customer. We examined the video from the time the vehicle was at the shop Video indicates the technician used the outside door handle to open the driver’s door. The technician also documented on the Preventive
Maintenance Analysis form (attached photo) that the door didn’t open from the inside. Steven contacted the customer and explained the results of his investigation. He also offered to repair the door for the customer at no charge to Mr*** as a good-will gesture, but the customer declined to have this service performed. Let us know if you need anything further to update this ticket or take care of Mr***. Thank you for alerting us and allowing us the chance to resolve the matter

When we dropped off our car to be fixed at the Tire Discounter lot we did not expect to come back to find it even more broke. I'm sure most people would react the same way if they were put in our situation. There is no reason our ignition lock would have "worn out" when it has never acted up for us, and because we overheard the employees asking about a key for our car we are suspicious that someone used a wrong keyWe would understand if a wrong key was used and jammed up the but, or begin a new sentence.">ignition as long as the company agreed to fix the problemIf the Tire Discounter company does not take responsibility for this incident that happened on their then is usually preceded by a comma, e.g.: I went home, then I had a nap.">lot, then we will have to contact a lawyerI have tried to contact the company multiple times and they have never officially responded to me until now and we have still not come to an agreement on this issue

*** *** I am sorry this could not be settledI am also sorry your company took whatever loss you are
claiming by quoting me the price expected to pay in the beginningYou seem to think your error
is my benefit which is not the whole point of this issueI am expected to pay the original price
that was quoted to me from the very beginningI now am concerned with the fact of my car
being up and running with no gasketApparently the lack of communication in this corporation
is unfortunateI have turned this over to our local media and my attorneyI am following his
advice and I am certain you will hear from him very soon

Regards,
*** *** I graduated from *** *** *** and I know how brakes workI have replaced several and a rotor just does not look that bad in milesTheir tech supported that, I took the parts down to the store I was supposed to take it to and the manager had no idea what I was talking aboutI was told he would know all about itThe problem I have, is they are going to blame it on bad calipers and I believe they damaged the calipersIf they recall, they did refund my money for the rotors because they lied about the thickness of the rotorsThey said they could not be turned and they got caught and ended up returning some money

I guess Tire Discounters needs glasses and WITH the tape measure, it was quite a bit larger than the rotor that Tire Discounters put onThey looked at it also and all of us confirmed the rotor that Tire Discounters put on was wrongRegardless, I have talked to a good friend of mine Mr***t , ***t and ***t attorney at lawBased out of Cincinnati, and we will just go after the total amount that I had to pay to get this fixed if Tire Discounters wants to keep playing gamesAlso I will talk to some of my friends at news channel to see if they want to investigate thisI will be happy to spend more money than it is worth
