Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not satisfied with that solution because at the time they claim I did not have aid although I have attached the financial aid letter that was initially sent to me from University of Phoenix that stated I DID have aidTwo weeks after receiving the financial aid award letter I received several emails stating that I had a balance for class which I found to be incorrect because I had financial aid to pay for that so there shouldn't have been a balance at allSo I contacted the school and I was told I didn't actually have financial aid even though I had an award letter to prove I didThey stated it was not on my account so at that point I had no other choice but to withdraw from school because I did not have the means to pay for itI was told because it was an error on their part I wouldn't have to pay for the classes and everything would be cleared outBut it wasn'tI have several emails to prove itI have already attached the financial aid award letter that was sent to meI will go back in and screen shot the emails that were sent where I was also told that I had aid a couple of weeks before class and then a couple weeks into class my aid was removedI shouldn't be forced to pay for your mistake Regards, [redacted]

No disrespect to you Ms [redacted] , but there is a confusion and a misunderstanding going on Let me help clarify some things to get the story more accurateIn your reply where you said, “The University can only hold an account for a limited amount of time and had to transfer your account to collections when payments were not received in a timely mannerAfter exhausting all avenues for collections, credit reporting is the final action applied to a student account.” I had not received anything notifying me that I owed any moneyIf anything I was talked down to with some disrespect when I made my choice to leave the University of PhoenixI don’t know what avenues were exhausted to get in contact with me because I had known I owed money I would have worked on a payment arrangement earlierAlso, once I knew I owed money I worked towards paying off what I owedAlso, why is it that when I made the payment arrangement with the collection agency I was told I would have the debt removed from my credit report once I paid off the debt in full with a letter stating that in writing included, but once I completed payment I have not received this letter? I don’t understand when I call the collection company whom your company sent this debt to the collection company says they do not have my account on file, and to call the University of Phoenix? But when I call the University of Phoenix I get told there’s nothing they can do, given a fake phone number, or told the department who can help doesn’t want to take my call Logically speaking do you think there’s something wrong with that? Yes, my account is settled financially, but it is not settled with the agreement made upon paying the debt offBeing honest with you it looks really odd that with an agreement made to have my debt removed from my credit report after payment is made, the payments were made successfully, and the account is still on my credit report which I'm getting the hardest time about getting an agreement to be honored

I have recently started attending UoP as of December of I first started the online classroom environment was simple and easy to useThey recently rolled me over into a new class room environment and it is beyond simple and complicatedIt came with help videos that I spent hours on trying to understandEvery single component of this class room is complicatedThe original one was simple and easy to useOn the UoP forums hundreds and hundreds of listed complaints are available to read about how terrible the new classroom isI asked my Academic advisor about the classroom if I could possibly revert to old format and I was simply told "Its here to stay"This is a poor business choice for a University, even a for-profit oneThe new format was to add a touch of social networking in and modernize the UIIt lacks practicality and is difficult to do everything from just reading assignments, to discussion postsUoP is terribly expensive and is no longer worth the time and energy spentI work fulltime and professionally, and UoP was recommend Ed to me so that I wouldn't have to considered reduced work or income Thank you for your time

am a Registered Nurse with Bachelors degree in NursingI did enroll and matriculated in University of Phoenix to earn a MSN degree in Nursing EducationThe process of enrollment is seamless and federal financial aid is difficult due to a very low 14% student academic success rate in the University of Phoenix (***.gov, 2016)The enrollment advisor, financial advisor, and academic advisor are well-trained to draw interested student into a hole that the student would turn his lifetime decision to pursue education to a worst day everMy assumption from my experience and educated calculation(Please email me for more information) High volume of enrollees and low student academic success rate without the OFFICIAL FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN) are the mainframe to yield University incomeI strongly suggest to any interested student to be very careful on this University

We received notice of your inquiry on August 20, 2014, regarding your account with the University of PhoenixI would like to respond to your inquiry and provide clarification regarding the status of your accountI researched your account and found that you enrolled in August utilizing the Military Billing plan as your primary payment option and the Federal Financial Aid plan as your secondary option Your financial aid application was certified with an academic year of September 4, through July 30, 2013, and 12/credit split This means you were required to successfully complete credits to disbursement period and continued into your second disbursementYour second disbursement of $2,in [redacted] funds posted to your account in April Additionally, payments from the military totaling $12,posted to your account between September and July 2013.University records reflect you successfully completed credits towards the second disbursement requirements before falling out of attendance for a period greater than the allowable daysThe University recorded your last date of attendance as May 4, The University was obligated to perform a Return of Title IV Funds calculation based on Federal Title IV guidelines The calculation is to determine the percentage of funds earned for the disbursement period, which is based on courses that were successfully completed and weeks of attendance Courses that are failed or courses which a student drops are not considered successfully completed coursesIt was determined you were eligible to retain 100% of the first disbursement in November and $1,of the [redacted] funds disbursed under the second disbursement in April However, the remaining $1,in [redacted] *** funds from April was required to be returned as it was considered unearnedThis created a balance owed on your student accountTuition and fees for your enrollment and attendance during the academic year totaled $12,Additionally, the University sent you credit balance refunds totaling $5,in [redacted] funds between December and April 2013, in anticipation of your completion of the academic year requirementsThe credit balance refunds for [redacted] were sent to you prior to you earning the fundsAs such, when you dropped without completing the credits required to earn the second disbursement, the University was required to send a portion of the funds back to Department of EducationSince the University had already sent the funds to you, the balance was created on your student account because you were no longer eligible to retain the full credit balance refund issued to you The shortfall and balance due on your account is $1,446.00, as itemized on the enclosed account historyThe campus attempted contacting you in an effort to resolve the balance owed However, the campus can hold accounts only for a limited timeAs you did not remit payment for the balance owed, the campus submitted your account to collections on February 10, 2014, for further collection effortsOn August 11, 2014, the University charged off the balance owed as non-collectableHowever, this action did not negate the balance owedThe campus maintains that all charges on your account are valid as attendance in class is voluntary and constitutes accepting the services provided and acceptance of the applicable fees You were provided with the academic and financial policies in the student catalog upon enrollmentYou were also provided with information regarding the costs of tuition upon enrollmentYou signed documents for your admissions to the University, which included
