I have researched the account and found you enrolled in the Master of Business Administration degree program and began courses on July 22, University records show you elected Military Direct Billing as the primary payment option. You earned three credits with the successful completion of the MGT/course which began on July 22, Tuition and Fees for this course totaled $2,On August 11, we received Post 9/GI Bill funding in the amount of $1,This left your account with a balance due of $934.00. According to University records you had a 60% certificate of eligibility for Post 9/GI Bill funds and the full 60% of your tuition and fees were paid with Post 9/GI Bill fundsYou elected to discontinue your attendance on August 29, 2014. Mr*** one course at a time is considered full timeThe full eligibility of Post 9/funds was received on your account for the one course you completedYou then elected to discontinue your enrollment. Please understand that your attendance in class is voluntary and constitutes your acceptance of the services provided and acceptance of the applicable feesYou had signed documents for your admissions to the University, agreeing with the policies provided and the financial obligations associated with enrollment with University of PhoenixYou may request copies of your enrollment documentation by calling the University Registrar at ###-###-####. The campus can only hold an account for a limited amount of timeThe account was transferred to collections onSeptember 6, when payment was not receivedAfter exhausting all collection efforts, including outside agencies, the balance was charged off and credit reported on March 5, This caused your account to reflect a $balance on the enclosed itemized account history. We find the campus provided guidance consistent with the status of your account at the time of your inquiriesThe University has reviewed the validity of your debt and the documented efforts to collect prior to any consideration to report your account to the appropriate credit bureausThe results have confirmed the Universities actions and found that there is no violation of the *** *** *** ***, or the *** *** *** *** *** The University is very aware of its requirements to stay in compliance with these laws and takes careful measures to ensure the accuracy of its reporting. The University maintains the current balance of $is valid and correctYour account will remain with a designated agency until paid in fullPlease contact a collections representative at *** *** ***, Inc*** if you would like to remit payment now or review payment options availableWe are unable to authorize release of your transcripts until the balance is paid. I would think hard hard and long before attending this school, ask them to print out a tuition amount before you attend I bet you they won'tThey insist your financial aid will be enough and tell you they help you apply for scholarshipsThat's a lie, I have waisted many hours applying for scholarships and UoP is not a typical school that students get scholarships atI was automatically dropped from two courses in a row because I did not type in "checking in" are you serious? Spend hours writing an assignment and more hours working in you team per week but get dropped from the courseI am transferring to another schoolI work so much and this school is not flexibleI recommended two coworkers and now I have to tell them I transferring because of these unfair practicesI will be contacting an attorney for breach of contract since this is a for profit school

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Please be advised that we have responded to this student on several occasions. We do not find any new information that would change our prior replies or position in this matterKind regards,

Dear Ms***:This letter is in response to your inquiry, submitted through the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), regarding your financial aid application. You enrolled in the Medical Records Certificate program in December and selected financial aid as
your payment option The University was unable to facilitate the certification of your loan application as you submitted an official withdrawal notice before the process was complete Students must be in full time attendance in order to qualify for federal Title IV funding. You posted one week of administrative attendance in HCS/beginning January 19, 2016, and the cost of the class was prorated accordingly The drop/refund policy is outlined in the student catalog, and the following is noted:Students who withdraw from a course prior to the start date will receive a 100% refund for that courseStudents who have completed 60% or less of the course of instruction are eligible for a pro rata refundThe refund will be the amount the student paid for the instruction multiplied by a fraction, the numerator of which is the number of hours (weeks) of instruction which the student has not received, but for which the student has paid, and the denominator of which is the total number of hours (weeks) instruction for which the student has paid.Example of refund on attendance for a week course:Attend first week 80% refund dueAttended through 2nd week 60% refund dueAttended through 3rd week 40% refund dueAttended through 4th week no refund dueThe balance due on your University of Phoenix account is for the following:HCS/January 19, $246.00rEsource HCS/January 19, $BALANCE DUE $386.00The campus maintains that the balance is valid as attendance in class is voluntary and constitutes the acceptance of services provided as well as the applicable tuition and feesYour signature on admissions and finance documents is your agreement with University policy and financial obligations associated with enrollment at University of PhoenixYour signature on the Student Finance Agreement (SFA) verifies your understanding you would be financially responsible for all incurred costs, regardless of the selected payment option I have included a copy of your signed SFA for your review In order for our campus to remain in compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) regulations, the details of our review will not be forwarded to the Revdex.com without your written consent If you would like us to disclose the results of our review to the Revdex.com, please complete the attached FERPA Release Form and fax it to 480-643- You may submit this form electronically as outlined in the following steps:• Login to e-Campus: https://ecampus.phoenix.edu/portal/portal/public/login.aspx• Click on the Program tab• Under Services, click on Request FERPA Release and follow the instructionsOnce received, a copy of this letter will be forwarded to the Revdex.com Please keep in mind that you may forward a copy of this letter to the Revdex.com directly if you prefer. Please contact your finance advisor regarding payment options.Sincerely,Margaret I***Executive Account AnalystUniversity of Phoenix
