Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Due to military members not having a choice whether they deploy or not, I believe the Universities policy is flawed in this matter. There is nothing covering military members in the event that they are shipped out and unable to complete their courses. All documentation requested to resolve this matter was provided to the school as request. To charge a student in this instance is bad business.

I did withdraw from school..and I did not meet attendance..and I sure did not call to resume classes in January. so I see that I will get nowhere with this issue, I will just pay the supposedly balance I owe to get a transcript sent out to me, so I can attend a school.

I have recently started attending UoP as of December of 2013. I first started the online classroom environment was simple and easy to use. They recently rolled me over into a new class room environment and it is beyond simple and complicated. It came with help videos that I spent hours on trying to understand. Every single component of this class room is complicated. The original one was simple and easy to use. On the UoP forums hundreds and hundreds of listed complaints are available to read about how terrible the new classroom is. I asked my Academic advisor about the classroom if I could possibly revert to old format and I was simply told "Its here to stay". This is a poor business choice for a University, even a for-profit one. The new format was to add a touch of social networking in and modernize the UI. It lacks practicality and is difficult to do everything from just reading assignments, to discussion posts. UoP is terribly expensive and is no longer worth the time and energy spent. I work fulltime and professionally, and UoP was recommend Ed to me so that I wouldn't have to considered reduced work or income.

Thank you for your time.

I begin at the UoP online in 2010 to pursue an degree in elementary education. I was told that I first needed to get an associate degree in communications first. Naive, I worked towards that. In 2011 I had a child with medical issues that several impacted my work, placed on academic probation, but left shortly therefore to care for my child. Over the next several years I tried to attend other schools (because I had accrued over 20K in loans from one year at the school), but no one would take my credits for UoP. I had completed an entire year and had over 24 credits under my belt. In October 2015 I decided that I would just go back to UoP and finish my degree, at least I'd have one. I was flagged in the financial aid department and needed the gather transcripts from other schools, but despite not having financial aid approval, I was allowed to start school. It took me months to get the transcripts (Holiday season and I couldn't actually speak to a live person), but I was assured that once I turned them and it was approved, the financial aid would cover my class. When my class ended I asked to continue taking classes but was told I would have to wait until after the Winter Break. Jan 2016 everything has been turned in and I can no longer start classes until the financial aid is approved. It took ONE MONTH for me to get approval. Now it's Feb 2016 and I'm ready to start class again. At this point I've had 3 academic advisers and two financial advisers since October, so in 3-4 I switch people constantly. My new academic advisor calls me and tells me that I'm STILL on academic probation from 5 years prior. And even if I pass my class with an A; I'll have to take a 6 month leave before being able to continue classes. So my choices were to leave now or waste 5 weeks taking a class and then having to leave for 6 months. None of this was told me prior to re-enrolling in October 2015. I decided to not take that class and find another school to attend. So basically I wasted almost 6 months with this school for nothing. Today April 1st, 2016 I get a call from a collection agency on behalf of UoP saying I owe them $1400 from the class in October. That class I was told would be covered by the financial aid. When I called the school they told me since I only took one class, I wasn't eligible for financial aid. Would a load of crock! I was promise and told that financial aid would cover it and now my credit is being compromised! When I asked to speak with a supervisor--they were in meeting...really? If anyone know how I can sue them or a class action lawsuit I can get in on, please let me know. I was lied to the ENTIRE time! No one had their facts straight and no talked to each other and they certainly didn't talk to me. If you're thinking of attending this school, DON'T! They'll waste your financial aid and take your money. This is school is [redacted].

I have Gone to this school for only a little now and they a trying to make all their students take down most all security protocol down in order to take the course or class. This has happened in all of my classed so far. I had gotten a computer they said was comparable with the school and would meet all the requirements. On this computer I had not got to any other site besides the school and I was get viruses. this is not something that should be required of students because it is causing viruses and allowing anyone to access the computer.

March 26, 2015 Mr. [redacted]952 Littleton Dr, Concord, NC 28025, USRe:  Student IRN [redacted]Dear Mr. [redacted]:We received notice on March 19, 2015 of your complaint filed...

with the Revdex.com concerning your account with the University of Phoenix Online.  In response to your concerns, I would like to offer clarification on the status of your account and provide your official account history.I have researched your account and found you enrolled in June 2014, selecting [redacted] as your primary payment option. The University was unable to facilitate certification of your Title IV loan request as you were no longer in attendance at the time that your funds were able to be awarded.  It is a requirement of the [redacted] that you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program in order to be eligible for any [redacted].  As you were no longer eligible to receive the [redacted] that you had applied for, the cost of your attendance in two weeks of one class became due.The prorated tuition and fees for your enrollment and attendance in one class totaled $1,286.65, as itemized on the enclosed copy of your official account history. Mr. [redacted], after completing a thorough review I find the balance of $1,286.65 to be valid and correct. Your attendance in class is voluntary and constitutes accepting the services provided and your acceptance of the applicable fees. You were provided with the academic and financial policies in the student catalog and upon enrollment. You were also provided with information regarding the costs of tuition upon enrollment. You signed documents for your admissions to the University, which included your acknowledgement of the hardware and software requirements for attendance, and your agreement with the policies provided and the financial obligations associated with enrollment in the University of Phoenix. You may request copies of these and other enrollment documents through the University Services office at ###-###-####. When campus representatives exhausted efforts to collect the balance due, the manager authorized the referral of your account to the [redacted] on October 1, 2014.  As we find the balance valid, your account will remain with the designated collection agency until the remaining balance of $1,286.65 is rectified.  If you would like to remit payment now, please contact a collections representative at ###-###-####. I hope you find this review informative. If you have any further questions, please contact us. Sincerely,[redacted]Executive Account AnalystExecutive Relations DivisionUniversity of Phoenix Online cc: student fileMr. [redacted], Director of Finance
