I am the managing attorney at UpRight Law for Enhanced Service. When I was informed of the frustrations of these clients I looked into the reasons for any delays or concerns that the clients had. After reviewing the file, I contacted them. Servicing our clients needs is our top priority and, as such, I felt it necessary to begin that conversation with an apology for the delays they have experienced. Due to the need to have an attorney assigned to each case who is licensed in the same district as the client, when one of our attorneys move out of the district, it can take some time to get the case reassigned to a different attorney and this is precisely what happened here. I explained that to these clients and they were very understanding. I gave them my direct contact information so that they can reach me at any time in the future. I also made sure that the case is on track and moving quickly toward filing. These clients remain clients and we are very happy to be able to help them meet their financial goals

Ms*** *** is correct we took out a payment of $on 4/23/
Per the verbal and written contract
she was given, she was informed the process to cancel was by sending in a written cancellationShe never sent this cancellation,thus her payment was never cancelled
However, as soon as she called our office and informed us of the mistake the money was reversed
This claim is totally and disingenuous

I am the Managing Attorney for Enhanced Service at UpRight Law. I received notification of this complaint this morning and I immediately reached out to this client in an attempt to resolve it. Unfortunately, this former client did not answer the phone when I called and he has not
responded to our many attempts to reach him. I sent him this email in an attempt to resolve his concerns:
Dear FORMER CLIENT,
I just left you a voicemail and I am writing you now so you have my contact information written down. Please call me back at your convenience I would like to discuss with you the Revdex.com complaint that you filed against our firm. It seems from your complaint that your biggest concern is that you no longer want to file for bankruptcy and you felt as though we haven't been responsive to your desire to cancel our representation. However, your cancellation request came in on 2/16/16. We called you back that same day to discuss that cancellation. When we didn't reach you, we emailed you the direct number for one of our enhanced services managers to go through the process with you. From our notes, it appears that you never called that enhanced services manager back. We called you again on 2/19/to take care of this, but we didn't reach you again. One of the attorneys in our enhanced services department left you a voicemail and emailed his direct contact information to you. You never called him back. On 2/25/16, we called you again. When you didn't answer that phone call, we left you a detailed message explaining that we had closed your case. We then emailed you a close-out letter explaining that your case was closed and letting you know that you can contact us back directly at the contact information that we provided. We have no record of the calls you claim to have made to us on 3/2/16. The only call that we have record of on 3/2/was one call at 8:a.m. Your case is closed and it has been closed for more than a week You can contact me back directly at my information listed below Thank you and have a great day!Managing Attorney for Enhanced Services This complaint contains numerous factual inaccuracies and a blatant mischaracterization of our firm's many attempts to reach him and comply with his requests. Like we do for all of our former clients, we have made all reasonable attempts to contact him and close his case. Failing his response to UpRight Law, we closed his cased and communicated the same to him on at least six different occasions. Even with all of this, we are still willing to discuss a partial refund of the money that he paid us to do the job that we started and only stopped at his request

My experiences with Upright Law was very positiveAll my questions were answered in a timely manner, and all the people that I had contacted with were very professional , and I was given a local lawyer to handled my filing and court hearing, and he was also very helpful

I am one of the managing attorneys at UpRight Law. Immediately upon receiving this complaint I contacted this client and began our discussion of resolving this matter. Unfortunately, she did not have time to complete that conversation. I look forward to speaking with her further

Complaint:
I am not completely rejecting this response because: I have not been in contact with this firm or Ryan yetI contacted them on October 25th at and I got a message machineI also emailed Ryan today October 30th and asked when we could be in contact with each other because I work 8-every day and could speak after 530pm about the matter I am hoping we can come to an agreement and things would be understood and resolved soon.

complaint, the client has no working telephone number I then sent the following email:

This client never called UpRight Law to indicate that she was dissatisfied with the service in any way The last contact the client had with this firm was September 9, Since then, the client failed to make of her scheduled payments and has been completely unresponsive to our attempts at contact UpRight Law has reached out to the client by telephone, email and text message many, many times since then in an attempt to come up with a plan to help her though this difficult time We understand that many people in a bankruptcy will have difficulty making their payments, but we also expect that when this occurs, the client will at least call us back or respond to our emails to discuss resolving the deficiency If the client cannot resolve the deficiency, then we will happily perform an accounting for the services already provided and refund any unearned portion of the fees paid at that timeIn this case, UpRight Law had no reason to believe that the client was unhappy with UpRight Law's performance The client states in her complaint that she is homeless with no access to a telephone or computer Due to these extreme circumstances, I am certainly willing to go above and beyond the contracted refund policy for this client, but I have no way of doing so unless the client makes contact with us

The law firm chosen for me by Upright Law handled my bankruptcy ,Chapter 13,very well,very fast,and with excellent communicationEverything was clearly explained;the docs I needed to send them were thoroughly explained,and the entire process went very,very smoothly.I would recommend them to anyone find him/herself in a dire situation

told me that she could not speak to me at that moment and asked for a call back at 3:that day I agreed and called her back at 3:p.m There was no answer and no voicemail option I called again at 3:p.mthat same day Again, there was no answer and no voicemail option.The following day, on 5/10/16, I called her again at 2:p.m Once again, there was no answer and no option for voicemail I then sent the following email:
Dear *** ***
I called you yesterday morning and you asked me to call you back at 3:EDT. I called you back at that time and there was no answer and no option for voicemail. I called again a half hour later and, again, there was no answer and no voicemail option. I called you a third time today and once again, there was no answer and no voicemail option. I have been trying to reach you to resolve the complaint that made against our business with the Revdex.com. Unless you call me back, there is nothing that I can do to help you. The next day I still had not received a telephone call or email from the client, so I called again at 2:p.m This time, someone answered the phone and immediately hung up without saying anything I called back again immediately in hopes that the person who hung up did so by mistake, but this time the call went unanswered and there was no option for voicemail As of this date, 5/20/16, I still have not received any communication from this client by telephone, email or otherwiseTo address the former client's original complaint, this former client has misstated the facts and the representations made by UpRight Law First, it was never said and it would never be said that UpRight Law will not acknowledge anyone until their fees are paid in full In truth, such a statement doesn't even make sense since taking payment from a client requires that we first acknowledge that they are in fact clients Second, it is simply not the case that UpRight Law does not work on cases until the fees are paid in full UpRight Law begins work on files at the moment the client signs up It is true that clients have to pay their fees in full to get the cases filed and complete the process of filing for bankruptcy, but there is an enormous amount of work done on the files prior to filing and that work begins at the moment the client retains this firm Third, this particular client never asked anyone at UpRight Law for a refund or even communicated that she would like to discontinue our services The last time that this client ever contacted UpRight Law was 11/18/ That call was not a cancellation request And finally, of the payments this client scheduled, only of them cleared The only reason that this case was not filed as scheduled was that the client failed to pay her feesSince this former client is entirely unwilling to communicate with me and has failed to pay her fees, there is nothing that we can do to help her However, my door remains open to her if she decides to do the necessary work to get herself out of debt and on to the fresh start she was looking for when she asked us for our help We wish her the best of luck in the future

I have been pleased with the service from them so far

I am a Managing Associate with Upright Law, and on behalf of the firm, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused to MsB*** We work with a third party refund processor, and experience delays from time to timeI spoke to MsB*** and apologized for this severe inconvenienceI also sent her the following email, with confirmation of her refund release:Hello J***,We are truly sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused in getting your refund back to you.
