After receiving this former client's response, I called her and I was able to reach herWe discussed her case and cleared up the confusion around the difference between being prosecuted for a debt (which is not legal) and being prosecuted for fraud (which is very much legal) She decided that taking care of her criminal concerns was most important to her at this time and decided not to move forward with the bankruptcyShe and I came to an agreement regarding her case she indicated that she was very pleased with the outcome

I've been trying for monthsI filed back in November of to get this bankruptcy taken care ofI've paid for my entire case in full months ago but still no resultsThey say get this report or that report going back years on taxes give them this bank statement then that my entire financial history has been handed over to them and still no resultsI've paid for property appraisals which is ridiculous it's been over a month and no one has contacted me for directions to the property and it is impossible to find this property without actual directions since it is not on any GPS systemI recently attempted to email them since they only respond to emails to find that of the emails sent have permanent failures and the last two have had no responseThis is as bad as the romance scams that are sweeping the internet on facebook only this place seems to have a legal businessOh and if you try for your money back so you can actually hire someone that will do their job that'll be impossible since they refuse to offer your money backI am just so frustrated trying to at least talk to someone and having no way in which to communicate except through email and even that isn't working right nowAre they still in business or not?

I am the managing attorney at UpRight Law for enhanced service Immediately upon receiving this complaint, I contacted the client and reviewed her file with herWhen any client hires UpRight Law, we begin working on that case immediately so we have the ability to prepare and file a petition in a timely fashion and get the client's file with one of our local attorneys to determine if there are any issues that may arise based on the information the client gives us in the intake Doing this requires a great deal of time, skill and knowledge of the practice area Since that time and effort cannot be returned to our firm in the event a client changes his or her mind, we make very clear to clients in the verbal retainer and the written contract for representation that any refund will be limited to an amount that the firm has not already earned at the time the client changes his or her mind.In this case, the client hired UpRight Law approximately months prior to changing her mind During that time an enormous amount of work went into preparing her case for filing and she spoke with numerous attorneys on several occasions The value of the work completed was well in excess of $1,and she only paid $ Her complaint also states that she was denied a refund, but that is flatly untrue A voice message was left for this client today before this complaint was written asking the client to call back so we could discuss the process of closing out her file and determine a refund amount Rather than return that call, this client opted to go directly to the Revdex.com This was an especially unfortunate decision since our firm makes every conceivable effort to resolve all complaints prior to seeking outside mediation or consultationEven in the face of all of these circumstances, UpRight Law remained steadfast to it's commitment to excellence and this former client and I were able to come to an agreement within mere minutes of speaking with one another We wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors and we will be here for her should she decide to move forward with her bankruptcy at a future date

I am the managing Attorney at UpRight Law for Enhanced Service When I found out about the issues that this client was having, I immediately called her to attempt to resolve her issues I have not yet reached her, but I am very confident that we will be able solve her problems when she has time to call me back When a client becomes non-responsive to our repeated attempts at contact, we often do not have a choice but to close out the file This is because active pursuit of a bankruptcy requires the help and attention of he client To reopen a case after it has been closed will sometime result in a fee when no explanation is given for the lack of responsiveness to our attempts at contact In this case, we closed this client's file when more than months went by without any contact At that time, we did not know that such a period without contact was caused by the client's illness Now that I know about the illness, I am happy to waive the reopening fee As soon as she calls me back, I will be happy to inform her of this
