Valley Environmental Resources, Inc. Reviews (545)

My daughter and I purchased a water system for our home, and we love it. We have been enjoying our system from cooking to bathing. Our skin feels great and our food tastes a lot better. I would recommend home owners to buy this for their homes.

I have had my system for about 3 months now. I no longer have to buy bottled water. Cost savings for me. I no longer have to buy conditioner for my hair. Another cost savings. I like that I have to spend little time cleaning my glass shower that I use everyday. It uses very little salt so It's not an expensive unit to run. The sales rep was courteous and friendly, not pushy at all. The installation went decent. I myself, would of did a better job at cleaning up. But then again I am [redacted] about that.

We have been customers since 04-13. I am extremely happy with the service that Valley Environmental Resources, Inc. has provided us!! The sales person was kind, and made sure we understood the benefit we would receive by having their system. There was no pressure to purchase at all. The installation team was great. I have only positive things to say about the experience.

Yes, it was on the pricey side, but worth every penny.

Cleaning is so much easier, especially my glass shower. I had my hair cut recently and my stylist made a comment on how soft my hair is and asked what products I was using. I realized it was our "magic" water! Thank you Valley Environmental Resources, Inc.!

We have had our Aqua Guard System for 7 months and in that time we have enjoyed refreshing drinking water and have noticed a difference in the softness of the water. The water has helped in preventing my skin from drying out since we changed our system. It has made a difference in our dishes that we do not get water spots anymore. We are very satisfied with the facial soap and body bars. Brian Wall was very helpful and provided a stress free no rush environment. Thank you

This is the first time I have had soft water. The first time I showered I felt like I was showering in lotion. My coffee taste great with the new water system put in @ the sink, my creamer no longer leaves a film @ the top of the cup when I reheat. Best thing is with the reverse osmosis system for my coffee, jucies, etc., I have learned to like water for the first time in over 40 yrs. My dishes are even coming out pretty again. The sales people were not pushy, tested our water in front of us & it was an eye opening. The systems we purchased are well worth the price,

Great product, it's really nice to be able to get drinking water with out having to go to the store. The water combined with their soaps have cleared up my skin. Love the soaps, Especially the oatmeal bar!! Dishes dry without any streaks/water drops.

Professional sales and service and there was attention to detail to make sure the whole experience was positive and perfectly executed. I really like the quality of the water for the house and the RO drinking water system. My skin is soft and I have no hard water build up on the shower walls. I actually use the RO purified water for cleaning instead of chemicals, yay! I love the convenience of a drinking water faucet and the quality of the water is better than when I was buying bottled water. I think the system is a real value because it stays with the purchaser for life. The company stands behind their product and has been in business for decades. I am really satisfied and highly recommend.

We have had the RO and whole house water filtration system a decently long amount of time in our home, at least since around July or Aug. of 2014, we waited to do our review until we could see how well it has actually held up and other factors. So far we have really noticed a difference in the water itself as far as taste. I ([redacted]) was a real skeptic in the start but my wife ([redacted]) really wanted it. Over all we are very pleased. Also we got the package that gives shampoo, soaps, laundry detergent(we have an HE machine), dish soap, dishwasher powder etc. and we are really pleased with it all as well. CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE OATMEAL SOAP! The company had many options for it to fit our budget monthly and have been nothing but nice from day one! The bags of salt added to the water last us a lot longer than what the man showing us originally had said so that's also a plus. We're a family of 4 with two messy little ones! So I feel like we use a lot of water.

I originally was not going to post anything about my experience with Valley Environmental Resources. I really don’t like to be a negative person and it just was not worth my time, but I received a letter from VER stating, per our agreement I needed to post a review with the Revdex.com. In the letter I was also asked to mention several different positive things about their company, give them a “positive” rating and give them a “10 or extremely likely” on how likely I would recommend VER to family or friends. After pretty much taking the review for me they dropped this line at the end. “Thank you for taking the time to post an honest review about VER…” Honest? Really??? You just told me to post all of YOUR positive opinions about your business.

Anyway, time for my “honest review of VER”. I’m sorry this is such a long read, but if you really are interested in VER you should take the time to read this. And VER, my honest opinion of you will be more beneficial to you in the long run than just posting what YOU asked me to post. That is if you really are interested in being an honest and reputable company.

After being referred to by a friend, a sales rep from VER came to our house to show us how dirty our water was. He was friendly and gave a good demonstration. I did not like that I was pressured to get the installation done at their convenience and not ours, but it was a free install so I can’t complain too much on that. Our installation was set to be done in the evening around 6ish and take a couple of hours. I arrived home from work and the install crew was already working away. Before I get started about the negatives I will say that all of the crew was friendly and knowledgeable and I really don’t hold them responsible for my dislike for VER. There were a couple of problems that night though and a few more a couple of days later. #1) I did not have a soft water loop in my garage and I was originally told that any exterior pipes that were to be installed would be on the side of the house and not visible from the street, but it ends up my main water line was right up on my front porch so there was no way around having a big pipe going up the front of my house. Had I known about this from the beginning I probably would not be a customer, but everything was in place and we were sold on this, so I gave them permission to go ahead and install the pipe in front of the house. #2) One of the installers was attempting to climb into my attic and slipped and damaged the trim at the attic entry point. They were honest with me right away about what happened and I really appreciated that. I know accidents happen, but we just bought this house and their attempt to repair it was unsatisfactory to me.

#3) After the install crew had left (3 or 4 hours from when they started) I finally got to jump into the shower and try out my fancy new water system only to find out that my hot water was cold and my cold water was hot. A reason still unknown to VER and myself. Even the toilets were steaming! The next day I called the office and they had a manager call me back about 5 minutes later and I explained to him the issues I was having along with the damage to the attic. He tried to send the same crew out to my house that had done the original install by the end of the day, but I told him although they were nice guys I had lost my confidence in them and I wanted someone out here to get this problem fixed right. I believe it was a day or two later a supervisor came out to fix my hot/cold water issue. I was told that I must have some unusual piping under the ground because everything was installed correctly (which is probably true). I was told that the only way to correct the problem was to route a second pipe back out to the front of my house to my main water line and feed back into the original entry point. Now I had two pipes where I never wanted one. What could I do? Have them tear it all out and have a bunch of holes in my house? I gave the supervisor permission to add another line to the front of my house, but inside I was wishing I never agreed to this thing at all. #4) After the problem was fixed and the supervisor left I noticed that the water didn’t have the same silky feel to it. It didn’t take a lot of troubleshooting, but I figured out that he had left the unit in bypass and I was only getting regular tap water. My problem is, what if I was not aware of this? I could have gone on for years thinking I was getting clean water when I was not. On top of this I found screws on the floor in my garage and solder splashes all over my sidewalk and driveway that were not swept up. A supervisor should be more thorough than this. #5) My biggest disappointment was with the manager and how he dealt with getting my attic repaired. His first suggestion was terrible. He offered to go to a hardware store and buy the supplies needed and give them to me and I would fix my attic. I thought he was joking since it was so outrageous, but he wasn’t. I can’t believe I even had to call him to have my attic fixed and now he was asking me to do the repairs. Like I said earlier, accidents happen, but when they do you better do everything in your power to make things right with the customer. Since I wasn’t going for his idea of fixing their mistake he said he had some guys that do this kind of work and he would send them out in a few days and have them buy the supplies and fix the damage. I really felt like they should hire a licensed contractor to come to my house and make my attic like new again, but I was tired of dealing with this manager and I just wanted my attic fixed. #6) The guys that showed up to repair my attic were the same guys from the install crew that broke it. After telling the manager that I did not have confidence in them coming back out to my house he sends them anyway to fix my attic. It was awkward for me because they did not seem happy with me and I’m sure it was awkward for them as well. They did fix my attic and they also replaced the piece of rectangle drywall that acts as the cover to the attic, which was not even damaged by VER (I guess they were trying to go the extra mile), but the damage to the trim was still noticeable if you knew it was there. I only signed the paperwork that I was happy with the repair because I don’t think it would be noticeable to anyone else and I did not want to have any more experiences with VER. I did have one more though. The sales rep came out to our house about a week after the work was complete to see how our system was working for us and to have us sign the final paper work. We explained to him all of the issues we had gone through. He seemed sympathetic and later mailed us a $25 gift card to a hardware store to have paint custom made to match the front of our house so we could paint the pipes that they installed. Although the pipes are still an eyesore it is much better than before they were painted and I appreciate the sales reps effort to help fix that issue.

For me personally, the only reason I would have this system in my house is because I believe that it does in fact protect your appliances from damage from mineral build up. All of the other benefits they claim may be true, but my wife and I either don’t notice them or if we do notice them, they are not enough of a factor for the amount of money spent. Guess you will have to try it out and judge for yourselves.

As for you VER, I really can’t figure you guys out. Sometimes you seem like a reputable company and other times you seem shady. Like this letter you sent me telling me to post a review with everything positive. How can you improve as a company if we just blow sunshine up your butt and say how great you are? I gave you an honest opinion and hopefully you can improve where you made mistakes and I gave you credit where you did things right. I did not have a positive experience with your company and I cannot in good faith recommend you to someone I know.

we Have had only a positive experience with Valley Environmental Resources and the water softener and R/O system the at we had them install. We have enjoyed the much softer water while showering and can really feel a difference on our skin.

We love our new system. It has made things a lot easier for us. First the system has great drinking water. I never would drink from the faucet, always bottled water. Now I drink from the tap. It tastes great and better for the body. Our grandson has now switched to drinking more water. We like the products that come with it, The laundry and dishwashing soap works great and we have to use less than other products. The body soap, shampoo and face/hand soap make the skin feel softer. Cleaning with the products is easy and efficient. We have tile floors and it gets up dirt and stains . We also use it to clean our cars and greasy oven, etc. The disinfectant spray cleans cabinets and other spills without any effort. We use the water to cook with which leaves no residue and the plain water cleans windows and mirrors without streaks. Also we have fish tanks and after cleaning them out we used the tap water and after 3 months the water is still great looking. My husband filled the pool halfway with the water and hasn't had to clean the lime off the tile yet and the water looks much clearer. This fall we are going to drain the whole pool and use only this water. The installation was fast and efficient and salesman was very informative.

Thanks VER

Bob with Valley Environmental Resources was really awesome to work with! His presentation was funny and very informative. You knew that he was comfortable with the product and knows it really well. The product itself is awesome! My favorite part of it is the RO system. I am a self proclaimed water snob and this water satisfies my requirements. The soft water system has been great too. Our skin is not as dry as at it used to be, we don't go through as much soap and there are no longer spots on our dishes. I highly recommend this company to anyone who asks me about it!

The new water treatment system has been awesome. It makes my skin feel cleaner, the water makes things easier to clean, the products are awesome too. The skin products have paid for themselves as my skin is less oilier and my husband loves the oatmeal body bar. The marketing guy was awesome along with the others who installed our system.

I don't what to say, but I can say THIS IS A BIG LIE I bought this water system because they told it will pay it self by the cleaning supplies that I will get for 5 years. now I ran out of some when I contact the costumer service they told me we already gave you 5 years of supplies which is 2 gallons of hand soap and 2 gallons of dish wash liquid " Im not talking about the laundry or shampoo" , now they said if you want more we charge you $16 for each. This is a big scamming company don't believe all [redacted] they going to tell you

I don't know what took my husband and I so long to get a water softener/treatment system! We couldn't imagine life now without it. We had a new baby when [redacted] first came to our home to demonstrate all of the wonderful things the treated water could do for us. Our baby had exzema and a big reason we decided to purchase the system was to wash her things in cleaner water with less soap residue and cleaner water to make her bottles as well as to clean those too. We fell in love with the system ourselves though after our first showers. We went out of town a month ago and the difference when taking a shower at the hotel was so noticeable. We would do it all over again, and are more than happy with our purchase.

We had our system for over 2 months now and I don't think it was worth the money. We were told our silverware and glassware would no longer have spots on them, they still do. Our ice isn't clear and the toilets still have a ring around it. The water does have a better taste but for the better tasting water we traded in the bottom of the cabinet under the sink to accommodate the tank. As for all the soap they give, it's basically the soap you would get in a cheap hotel. The system also uses a lot more salt than we were told. Most of the people that work for the company were nice though.

As a family that has had the opportunity to live in many states and countries we were disgusted with [redacted] water. We have never been bottled water people but found no other choice once we arrived in **. When VER showed up we had already discussed a water filter and soft water system for the home. After our sales man, Bob, came we were sold. He was professional and very considerate despite several interruptions during the demonstration. Most appealing was of course the system and all the natural products.
Our home was already pre-plumbed for the system and installation went very smoothly. It took as long as they had told and again, all staff was very professional and courteous.
3 months later we are still enjoying the system. Most noticed is the drinking water and the money we are saving from not having to buy bottled water anymore. Next would be the laundry, which we’ve found the soap provided with the system works great and our lint catcher on the dryer is maybe half full verse almost exploding. Next would be bathing, all of us have enjoyed the natural soaps, facial, body bar, bath wash, and shampoo. The boys use all of these products exclusively. Mom has had to go back to commercial products due to having very long hair and it just wasn’t enough to make it feel as manageable. Next would be cleaning products and sanitizers which we have been extremely happy with and use exclusively throughout the house. Our only complaint is the powdered dishwasher soap. We’ve tried to use as directed but it continued to leave a film on our dishes. With the soft water however, we only use a fraction of commercial dishwasher soap compared to what we used to. So we are still completely satisfied with the cost savings. We are very picky people when it comes to clean so considering how satisfied we are with the other products we don’t consider these minor preferences to be failures of the company.
The only recommendation I can give to them is perhaps to develop liquid dishwasher soap which I think would solve the issue with residue.
Thank you VER for solving our bottled water issue and giving us so much more.

[redacted] helped us get exactly what we needed, which was this water softener for our new home. He was very informative with every question we had. The men who set it all up in our home were very nice, quick, and attentive. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

We had our water system installed about two weeks ago. The installation was fast and easy. The guys installing it were very knowledgeable and even helped us to set up a small storage shed we decided to put the system in. In the last two weeks we have seen a big difference in our water. The drinking water is better. I do not have to fight with the kids as much to get them to drink it. My skin is softer. I usually have very dry cuticle, but after weeks of washing my hands with the softer water they are significantly softer and cleaner. I have also noticed that when the clothes come out of the dryer they seem softer. My time ironing has been cut in half as least. It has also made cleaning easier. My bathroom seems to stay cleaner longer due to less soap residue. We are very happy with our decision to change our water and would recommend this to others.

My wife cleaned our hold carpet with nothing but water filter and soften by valley environmental services! It look brand new! All old black spots are gone, with no chemicals!!!

I cleaned the bath tub with water filtered and soften by valley environmental services and a scrub pad. Bath tub has looked new for the past month with no additional cleaning!
