My varo atm card was somehow replicated and the criminals involved then proceeded to swipe my card twice at a Wal-Mart for $111.09 before I noticed the charges and cancelled the card. I had to wait for the charges to pay to my account before I was able to dispute the charges. When disputing them I was informed that they would do a full investigation, including checking the security footage at the Wal-Mart registers where the card was swiped. After about 11 days I received an email stating they found no error and that they would not reverse the charge. I then called the customer service number and was told that there was no way to contact the dispute department and that only way to correspond with them was via email. I then tried reaching out by email and was told that their decision was final unless I had more documentation or information for them. I had even called the Wal-Mart and was told that I would have to talk to my bank. The last email I received from them basically said that any more emails I sent would be filed away and no more time would be wasted on my dispute.

5 star bank, 5 star customer service! No fees, early payday, not a prepaid card!

It is so easy to use and the direct deposit is great

OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!!!! They make very easy to open account and you get intereste on your money.

They put the s in service and satisfaction very meaningful caring company that does business the old school way the customer comes first

do not use them. After asking 1 question and trying to get further clarification on the answer, the agent got upset and closed out my account, FOR NO REASON AT ALL, their name is ***.
All I asked why cant I use my Varo with my mother regions bank account, right after that, I was emailed informing me that my account would be closed..
They still have not credited me the 2 transfers from regions which is for $250 and $120 , its been over a week, and everytime I bring it up they refuse to answer the question.
Im wheelchair disabled person, hard for me to get around anywhere that's why I wanted to know if I could attach my moms account to mines, for funding purposes, its disgusting how they treat handicapped people, NEVER in a million years did I think that question was going to lead into closing my account.
I have been with this bank for over a year now and never had issues before.
I was NEVER credited back on my 2 disputes I made last month, I was scammed out of 300 dollars and now since my account is closed, they said they didnt have to help me anymore with the disputes I already opened.
This is a very disgusting company and its far from over, next will be a ***, *** and *** review.
When I spoke to a agent on the phone about this, they told me that I need calm down and stop cursing, WHICH NONE of this never happened because I have the recorded phone call, she was just trying to find a way to get off the phone with me, I never yelled and never cursed, I have the PROOF...
Again im a wheelchair disabled person, I asked 1 question and than my account was closed out by *** (Varo Money)..
Scam stay far away, the employees treat you like trash even if your handicapped and you ask 1 QUESTION.
STAY AWAY from this prepaid card company, there are hundreds others to use.

Vero bank has left me stranded in Lakeland Florida for 2 days now. My deposit came in via my debit card last night at 830pm. Vero sent me a notice saying "suspicious fraud activity due to high deposit amount" that I needed to contact Vero back this is 837pm their customer service and security closes at 6pm Pacific time. I had no access to my account and its 937 am now and still no access. I live in McDonough Georgia 400 miles north. Wife and I are planning on moving to the Orlando area. I drove down Sunday night. My sister who lives in St Augustine is having test ran that could be life changing critical. I felt it was a good time to knock all birds out with the same stone. That was till varo started their bt. I called customer service 1st thing this morning and now they are saying that security has been escalated and it will be fixed as soon as THEY can. Meanwhile my sister doesn't have my support cause I'm stuck here. I've slept in my truck now for 2 days. With no access to money no food or neccessary items including fuel. And all that Varo customer service says is they are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have given misinformation and lied to over the course of 2weeks regarding a $100 referral bonus that I am entitled to. The representatives have been leading me on, refusing to correct errors and give me information. Supervisors are refusing to take my calls, they advise the representatives to terminate my phone calls. My electricity has been disconnected because I was dependent on that $100 as of 10/18/2019. I also have an infant at home. The lack of empathy and professionalism is absolutely disgusting.

So far I really love this card I look forward to continuing using this company

This card is a truly good card it has no transaction fees just deposit money cash fee at local stores other than that a card is a great card and it's easy to access your account and get direct deposit and put on to it and has tons of locations for ATMs free ATMs have a great experience with Varo and highly recommended it.

The best experience ever I couldn't ask for a better experience and company.

I think this app is very good at what it is supposed to do

This is the worst bank I’ve ever worked with. Someone emailed me and told me my card had been compromised on 09/10, they said they would be sending me a new debit card “express”. They said they attempted to deliver my card too me 3 times, well unlike some people I work all day and I never knew I had to sign for the card, I never knew of a tracking number, I never got a notification, not once was that information given too me and as I told them they can look back through the emails and phone calls which I know are recorded and see for themselves, I never got a notification on my door, nothing but apparently I’m just supposed to guess that this is the procedure. I sent an email on the 26th asking for my card, still no response. Finally on the 27th I still hadn’t received my card so I called, the first rep told me about the “attempts” and offered to *** me my money or send another express card, I opted for the ***, and he told me that since I was going with *** I couldn’t “express a card” so I get off work early so I can send the info they need and go pick up the money, well I receive an email saying I got denied for ***. I call back and they tell me that it was my responsibility for not receiving my card, without a heads up about a signature, without a tracking number, without any information it was my responsibility and they denied the *** because I have a linked bank account which makes absolutely no sense, and yes I have a linked bank account but I wasn’t going to wait 2-3 business days for my fund. And she also tells me they can’t express another card at all because I already had one, so she just contradicted the first persons information. So after all that I was told I was SOL and it was my fault for not knowing their business policies. Honestly worst experience of my life.

Like howbthe card act as a real bank debit card verse a pre paid card

I wad surprised at Varo takez out .25.for looking something up. They are always taking .25 cents ouut. They ssay its free. Well obviously not. Misleadi g.

I made a purchase for a car rental back on June and the car broke down. I tried to work with the merchant to get back partial payment back and could not. I reached out to Varo to see if they could help me dispute the charge. 1) the merchant went back and forth with me for a month and a half with no resolution. I was advised a resolution would be had on 8/13, but they just emailed to say there is no resolution. 2) I found out that Varo had not been in contact with the merchant and I had to ask them to reach out to the merchant to get information, by this time 2 months went by and Varo still had not reached out to the merchant to get the information they needed to help solve this case. I took a screenshot of a few addresses from *** and asked the customer service rep which address was theirs so that I could submit a complaint due to the service. The rep refused to give me any information. The “Supervisor or Manager” emailed me and advised they had reached out to the merchant and they have until 9/27 to respond or else they will refund me back. 9/10 I get an email stating that they will not be refunding me back because the payment was not made in error. I thought that if I had issues with the merchant I could dispute it with my bank? Why did you deny me of my refund when you haven’t even heard from the merchant. Not only did I get denied of my refund, but I asked for a manager numerous times and all I got was, “I apologize for the inconvenience I know how frustrating this is.” Not to mention they refused to give me the address so that I can file a complaint. I just want my money back. I was an active member and this was the first issue I had ever had. I deserve my $200 back.

I love varo. I have not 1 complaint . Varo is the best that's all I have to say.

Great experience so far. Definitely a great alternative to conventional banking. I’m very pleased with zero fees and the new features yet to come.

It's cool to have I get my money before time and I have no problem with my card.
