Hassle free I got 100 bucks free when I signed up threw a referral which was very nice and my boyfriend too got the 100 bucks plus another done when is brother signed up these people are great! I love them and I use all other one chime and PayPal nothing compares to varo I wouldnt change back to any other bank!

Varo suspended my account for no reason on the day I got paid. Tried contacting customer service to receive the most dry, bland response. Waited days to hear from someone and still nothing. Won’t send my money to me won’t unlock my account. Complete tyrants and pirates. Never referring anyone else.

Varo is awesome. no fees and faster deposit. Varo is one of the best. I have no problems and I can save money. Better then regular banks.

it's a good card to have because they always get your money deposit it on time and you can take your money out when you need if you have a problem you can always get in contact with someone a very good, very good company.

I love Varo they don’t charge a monthly outrageous fee like other conventional banks and credit unions!! If my banking account runs overdrawn they allow a $50 leeway!!!! Also I get my paycheck 2 days quicker than other conventional banks and credit unions did what’s not to love about this bank!!!!!!

I am going through a hard time financially right now as many other Americans dealing with the financial impact of this Covid pandemic. I had to withdraw funds from my retirement savings and they issued me a check through Charles Schwab and drawn on Bank of America. I scanned the check on both sides and submitted to Varo... Moments later, I received an email saying the deposit was accepted and funds of around $200 would be made available the next business day. Two hours later I get another email from Varo stating that my check needed supporting documents. Supporting documents for a 401k check? So I took several photos of the check stub that was attached to the check. The stub included my full name and address, the name of my employer, the issuing back which is Charles Schwab, the type of check which is 401k loan and the check numbers associated with check.. The check was overnighted to me by fed ex and I sent all the requested info and spoke with a Varo rep and verified that they did receive it and they would expedite my request due to my financial situation. Fast Forward, I get another email at the end of business day that said check still not able to be verified.. By this time I am livid.. I have bills and rent due so this is really putting me in a more vulnerable situation than I am already in. The supervisor that I spoke with was very condescending and steadily implying that the check could be fraudulent ... The Check is valid and they know it.. I had the same type of check drawn on the same bank and issued by Charles Schwab because I had to take out a hardship loan earlier in the year.. There was never an issue and the check cleared.. The difference in the amount was a few hundred.. I explained over and over to the supervisor that I have no other documents and what other documents besides the check stub is needed.. I don't bank with Charles Schwab they only issue 401k checks ... He proceeded to say that I need to resend all the items I had sent previously and he will see what happens.. I need my money.. I am stuck in my house and can't go out as I am very high risk for Covid.. I asked to speak with the supervisor's manager and said that there is no one he can connect me to or give me their info.. he also said that there is no info for ceo .... I am beyond upset... my bills are due and I don't know where to go ....... All they have to do is contact the issuing bank to check the validity and I don't believe they did.. They are trying to save face and not giving me a valid reason why the check is not verifiable.. I did locate one of the ceo's for Varo and Bankcorp and I am in the process of reaching out to each and filing a more formal complaint ... This is the worst banking experience I have ever had and I feel so helpless in terms of what else I can do... they have made it very difficult for me and They need to be investigated .. This is a 401k check.. who the heck is making fraudulent 401k checks in the middle of a health pandemic? they know me as a customer and I have never had any issues with depositing anything not legit.. I am no longer going to bank with them and will be taking advantage of Chase's online banking.. this is so sad...

I filed a fraud claim with this company over three weeks ago. Someone had access my online banking account and transferred my unemployment deposit out. I called several times about this problem so the representative lock my card and issue a new one, but the problem wasn't with the card it was with the actual online banking. They sent the request to the fraud department within the company. They froze my account and stated I should hear something within 72 hours. They asked me to send in my ID. I didn't hear back so I called back Friday. Remind you my I was told my account was still frozen. So I called back Today 6/30 and I was told my account was unfrozen and the dispute has been closed. Also, I will not received over $2000 back to my account because it wasn't fraud. I had $740 in the account while it was froze. When they unfreeze the account that same person who took my other funds took my last $740 out the account Friday the same day they release the hold. They told me they can see the person who is transferring the funds but it's not fraud really. What kind of company is this. I need all my money back.

Varo card that comes with the online account has no fees, even no inactivity fee. Also it is accepted widely overseas including China where I often shop. It is easy to load via ACH transfers (free) and retailers, or by depositing checks/money orders thru Varo app. I highly recommend Varo online bank account.

First let me say that this is a financial institution and we as hard working citizens trust in Varo to care and keep money correct at all times.
Now I had two cc charges that were easily rectified by the two companies that made a mistake after my cancellation. Now at this time I had the overdraft protection and it was showing on my account when these two charges came thru. One charge was received for 22 almost 23 x 2..so 45 dollars. They credited my account without issues. Now the second for 35 bucks kept trying to credit my account and VARO kept refusing it. So they documented it all between us and I sent over to VARO. Letter to me states have the bank reverse charge. Oh heck no..oh all in writing all in black and white.. nope VARO still has yet to reverse charge. So in the meantime the money I was reimbursed was in my savings.. I put into my banking.. well it disappeared, yet still shows green as in positive amount. I’m looking and call Varo, never ever get thru, so I write them. They VARO PROCEEDS TO TELL ME.... OH YOUR NOT COVERED THIS MONTH FOR OVERDRAFT AND THE 30 is to PAY BACK YOUR OVERDRAFT FEE... AND IT SHOWS GREEN BUT OUR ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON THAT BECAUSE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE RED. And 5.47 is your current balance just so you are made aware and not surprised.
Now let me make this clear... I lost my job to a dang virus.. every cent counts and I want the clarification.. you kicked the refund out.. it would have been covered if it was not rejected by you VARO.,that’s bad business and you mess with what my family depends on. I want it fixed and you should have made all your customers aware of a huge technical issue prior to wandering wth was going on. I say horrible business practices on values that we trust in you. That’s a fail.
