sent following email directly to customer:Dear [redacted] ,This email is in response to the complaint you filed with the Revdex.comI have looked up your account and see that you enrolled yourself online with Verde Energy for a 6-month fixed rate of cents/kwh on 2/5/Your account began with Verde on your 4/1/2015-4/29/billing cycle and your 6-month fixed rate expired on 5/2/and went to our variable rate of cents/kwh.As stated in the Terms of Service link on our website, you can see that the fixed rate was for months and that after months, your rate would automatically switch over to the variable rateAll customers are welcome to call our toll-free number when their fixed rate is about to expire, and they can sign up for another fixed rate, or go to a different supplierThere is no cancellation fee and no contract (minimum stay) with Verde EnergyI do not see that you contacted Verde via our toll free number (using [redacted] nor [redacted] ), nor do I see that we received any emails from E-mail: [redacted] I can confirm that your account with Verde has been cancelled and that the last day with Verde will be 4/03/18.I have adjusted your rate for any remaining billing cycles with us to be at our fixed rate of .1149/kwh.I have calculated a refund to this fixed rate for the highest bills you had while with Verde, and I've processed a $rebate checkYou should receive your $rebate check and the $check in the mail within business days.If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reply to this email.Karen M***Customer Support |Verde Energy USA [redacted] | Norwalk, CT

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the switch from Verde Energy to [redacted] was to be effective effective March when Verde was changing my account from a fixed to a variable rate Upon receip of a 2nd very high billl, t I called the phone number provided by Verde and identified by Verde as its customer service numberThe call was answered by a recording stating "thank you for calling Verde customer service...."; the CSR identified herself as " [redacted] " and stated she would have a check cut for $and sent to me within to days, but to alloei up to weeks to receive the check, She never stated she was not authorized to issue a refund; nor did she ever state she was not a Verde employee.If I call a number provided by a company and identified as the correct number of said company; if the call is answered as indeed, belonging to the company and if the person with whom I speak identifies as a as a representative of the company and promises the customer something - whatever it is should be honored Verde's position that the CSR is not a CSR and did not have the authority to advise me the amount of refund I would receive is mootI called in good faith and the Verde CSR [redacted] responded in good faith.The correct amount of $should be returned to me as promised Sincerely, [redacted]

We sent the customer the following email today Mr. [redacted] , I received a copy of your inquiry. In 2013 you received via first class mail a letter from Verde Energy which indicated that your account was now on a... 100% renewable energy offer, which was not guaranteed to be below the utility rate, and that you could contact Verde at any time to cancel or inquire about an alternative fixed rate offer. The mailing also included a $25 retention rebate which you submitted and cashed the check we then sent you. I saw that your account left service with Verde on 11/12/14. Even though you cancelled, as a good will gesture we will send you a billing adjustment check for $185.16 which effectively lowers your rate to $0.10125/KWH for you last 3 bill cycles. Dear Mr [redacted] , We have received your complaint via Revdex.com regarding the $ rebate our service offers Apologies for any confusion regarding our service, our sales team does not offer $for enrolling, you have to be an active customer for at least one month and send in the rebate coupon with a copy of your utility bill The rebate form is included in your welcome kit, I show your welcome kit was sent on Oct21st to [redacted] ***, we also have this rebate form on our website as well Our service offers four $rebates for every quarter that you’re an active customer Because you were an active customer (month) we will send you a check for $as a courtesy, we show that you have since cancelled our service on November 21st, so you will no longer be eligible for additional rebates Kind Regards,

We sent the customer the following email today [redacted] ***, I reviewed your recent inquiry Your account was assigned to Verde Energy by [redacted] Energy as provided for in [redacted] customer agreement All [redacted] customers received notice of this assignment in a first class letter dated 2/5/and as part of the assignment Verde lowered the supply rate that was previously charged by [redacted] A copy of this letter and the related Terms of Service (the initial variable rate of $0.0990/KWH for this account replaced the “0.xxxx”/KWH in the sample TOS) are attached for your reference This account began to receive Verde’s supply rate as of 3/30/and the rate was not changed until October when it began to increase because of rising energy supply costs The account has been dropped and will leave service with Verde at the end of the billing cycle on 6/30/ Verde does not have any cancellation fees Even though your account is being dropped as a goodwill gesture we are providing a $billing adjustment for the 5/30/bill (makes the effective rate $0.1129/KWH) and will use this lower rate on your last bill in June You will receive this check in approximately weeks Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: 10021502 I am rejecting this response because: The meter reading is correct. My granddaughter and her family lived in the house with me this winter and we used all electric heat, which we had never used in prior years. When [redacted] estimated the bill, they were using past history of when 2 people lived in the home and this past winter we had an entire of family of 4 living there. Therefore all winter, the estimate was too low and now that they did an actual reading and that was coupled with the high rate charged by Verde I received a super high monthly electric bill.
